I welcome back to another amazing video, as you can tell by the title, we are diving right in with the 2022 interior design stream, so i'm gon na make it short and sweet and give you all of the goods for this design season. What i will tell you, though, is that you're going to see a repeated pattern or a flow of patterns with this list. I have talked to several amazing designers, myself being one as well and doing research and searching out the internet and just seeing what designers are going with or what homeowners are requesting in the homes. This is how i culminated this list, so it's not something. That'S off the top of my head. This was a again researched and well thought out list. It is the top 10. Does that mean that that is all that they're doing for the season, but these are the top 10 things that i heard from designers alike. So the number one trend you're going to see in homes you guys because we are in a time where people are at home more we're working from home, we're schooling, our children at home. We want to be safe at home, so you're going to see a lot of trends that are going to lean into the desires and needs of each specific family. Okay. So the number one trend you're going to see for the styling season is more closed spaces. So number one you're going to see people revamping their rooms to make them more intimate and more dedicated to their specific needs. So you will see closed in floor plans. There will be no more well. There may be some because some people still love that open floor plan concept, but builders that i spoke with said that people are requesting a more closed and they want set off as they want set playrooms. They want set homework spaces because again we're functioning differently in our homes. So that's the number one design trend that you will see for 22 is a closed floor plan, tying them with that same vein and the same sense that they want a closed floor plan. They also want number two being multi-functional spaces. You will see playrooms also function as a homework space. You will see dining rooms double as an office. You will see sitting areas function as craft rooms. You will see these spaces being used for multiple purposes because again we're at home more and we want to function comfortably in our homes. Okay, number three tie it in with that same vein, you guys you're going to see tons of indoor outdoor styling you'll, see families. Now wanting to enjoy the inside as well as the outside of their home, so you'll see a lot more styling for their outdoor spaces. They want to make those spaces as vacation like as possible, because not everyone is safe traveling, so they want to create those vape. Those staycation vibes in their home, so you will see a lot of indoor outdoor styling for this 2022 interior design seat. Okay, another thing that you're going to see that i am so excited about is that you're going to see a lot of diys you're going to see a lot of reclaimed and repurposed furniture because we're thinking differently again, we want the homes to function as effectively as Possible, so you will see diys and multifunctional spaces: okay, reclaim furnishings rebuilt, furnishings, repainted furnishings, taking dresses and turn them into tv consoles. Again, that's something that we've seen classically done, but you're gon na see it even more so in this 2022 interior design trend. Speaking of the diys we're doing a lot more entertaining so, along with those indoor outdoor entertaining along with those diys, in-home bars have been a highly requested need for homeowners. They want to see or want to have spaces in their home that they can entertain themselves as well as select family and friends. So you'll see a lot of bars, a lot of bar carts, a lot of indoor like wine rooms and spaces that you can entertain comfortably in your home. Okay. Another trend that i am so excited about that you will see which i incorporate into my design style. That is texture guys. We want comfort, we want warmth, and so you will see even the monochromatic color schemes build on a lot of texture in their design. So you'll see, pin stripes, you'll, see polka dots, you'll, see faux fur you'll, see wool and tweeze, sometimes all combined into one cohesive space. But again the texture is going to bring that entrance. Even if it's monochromatic it's going to just layer on and create a nice warm and cozy feel in those sad spaces, so i am so excited about that. Look. Another trend that we're seeing in interior design is decorative cabinetry guys we want texture. We want visual interest and so no longer will you see a plain kitchen cabinet or a plane um for your cabin or entryway cabinet. You will see the cabinets. Have intricate designs, you will see them have shiplap, you will see them. Have crown molding, you will see them have paneling, just all of the beautiful things to create texture and interest into our cabinetry you're, going to see a lot of creativity which i am so excited about. So that brings me to the next design trend. You'Re going to see color, i'm so excited to see. Color come back into our homes, again we're at home, and we want something vivid and exciting to to create that feeling of joy and happiness in our home. So you'll see bright, colors, whether it be on the wall, whether it be in a furniture piece, whether it be an accessory, you will see more colors. Now those of us are already styled with colors, it's not a trend for you. It is a way of styling but you're going to see that more and more prominent in homes for the 2022 season. Okay, another trend that i am excited about, you guys is you're going to see a lot of parisian influence. Design you'll see the beautiful intricate mirrors and beautiful intricate furniture pieces just incorporated into the modern trendy looks - and i am here for anything, parisian and glam - not necessarily glam, shiny brassy but vintage um old world, but with a soft twist adding nice muted tones to a Heavy ornate piece will just bring it up to a more modern look and feel so you'll see a lot of that in the 2022 design trends. Okay, another thing that i am so excited about and i'm thrilled because i feel like i was ahead of the game and that is curved furniture, guys you're, going to see a lot of circular pieces and mirrors and arch mirrors and arch pictures and curved furniture. Beautiful curved sofas, beautiful curved chairs, you're gon na see a lot more of the softness brought into the home because, again guys we want our homes to function effectively and beautifully and comfortably all. At the same time, so you're going to see that before function means trend meets comfortability so guys i hope you all enjoyed these interior designs tips for 2022 and i hope you find a way to incorporate some, if not all, of them into your interior styling. For the 2022 season with that being said guys, i want you all to stay. Safe, remain royal and have yourself a blessed and most beautiful beautiful day and i'll see you in the next one bye
