FitBarber™ Brand: "Be impactful”, “Work on yourself, then impact others"

What'S up guys david fowler here welcome to my channel and welcome to another video on today's tutorial, we're going to be doing a mid fade, mid drop fade. I will say just because we're trying to follow the head shape, so we're gon na we're going to be doing a fade that follows the client's head shape. So it looks a lot nicer. So the first thing we're going to do we're going to separate the top from the sides. The reason for it is because i like to be organized with my haircuts. I feel like one of the main reasons why some barbers don't achieve the results that they want. In every single haircut is because they don't have a system, they don't follow a system that helps them to succeed every time. So my system is to make sure that you know i'm working smarter, i'm working more efficient, and that means that you know i'm going to section the hair. If i need to so, i don't have a bunch of hair everywhere, because let's say the hair was long on top and you know it's like kind of flopping all the way on the sides, and it's going to just going to make it hard for me to Fade right also um. By separating the hair, i can see where the grow pattern is on the front and on the back, that's going to make the so much like it's going to make the whole difference when it comes to cutting the cowlicks. Just because, if you cut a cowlick in the wrong direction, it will spike up. So by separating that, i know exactly where all my grow patterns are, and it makes it so much easier to create my shape to do my fade to connect the top to that fade so uh. This is the reason why i do say is my system that i follow a system that works for me and i do all my haircuts the same uh. You know just how you, when you go to uh fast food place like mcdonald's, for example like you go there and you know exactly what to do and the people that work there know exactly what to do, because it's a proven system, they don't have to change Anything they don't have to do anything different because the system has been proven to work. So that's pretty much what we're doing here so once i separate that i'm gon na use a number three to create my shape, so how you can see all i did with that number three was just to create like a like a block graduation pretty much. Instead of using it with scissors um, i just did it with the machine. So after that's done just kind of make all my canvas a number three to say like that, then i'm going to start creating my first guide. Now you can see this guide is going to follow the head shape right, very important, that you create this guide following the head shape, so it looks better on the client. If you create a fade, the nav doesn't follow. The hit shape doesn't necessarily mean it's going to look bad, but it might not look its best and that's the difference between a barber that can charge more that barbers that do a better job. Our barbers don't understand, head, shapes and understand. What'S going to look better on that client and some barbers that don't understand this are the barbers that tend to have to charge lower because they give the same haircut to everybody. So that's a little bit of a difference. So it's very important that you understand and see what you're working with see what your canvas is see. What like the client's head is the type of hair. All that stuff makes such a such a difference because, like that, you will be able to offer your client a tailored haircut to that client and not just give the same haircut to every single client that you have. Okay, now that the bottom is shaved. Um now we're going to be doing clipper of a comb and we pretty much we clip over comb uh. All i want to do is connect the number three which created that weight line that you guys can see. I'M connecting that way line to the zero on the bottom right uh, so remember. We create a kind of like a straight line from that from that way line all the way to the bottom. That'S what a fade will be right. We create a graduation, which means that goes from short to long uh and the clipper overcome. Allow me to do that and also skip a couple of guards. So now, when i started with a number one and a half, we're gon na do one and a half open first and then we're gon na go to uh, not one and a half closed, and all i'm doing is just fading. That number one and a half into the three that we did on top right, so we're gon na conti as we cut we also blend. In already this is called um. I mean everybody calls it different, but i would say it's just like fading down just because you know like we are starting from higher to lower, but that's just that right or in this case uh. What you can do too - and i wanted to show this in this video - is that if you trying to do uh the fade down technique and you're getting lost, they just make you guys and just fade them down. So in this case, i'm doing a machine open and i created my guide, i would say like a finger, a finger with yeah and then i'm gon na fade it little by little. So what i did is the lever is closed and i'm opening the lever little by little and then open a little bit more and then go a little bit higher open a little bit more go a little bit higher until the lever is fully open and i'm At the same um, i'm all the way to where the the guide was created. Once you do that, you continue um. Do that the whole the whole head or have the head? If you want some barbers do half of the head first and the other half some barbers do the whole head my opinion. I do the whole head just because i feel like if i do one side and then i'm trying to do the other one, i'm gon na get lost. Well, that's just me. That'S just the way i like to to to do things but uh. Remember, there's many. Many ways to do anything and at the end of the day, the most important thing is for you to have a system and follow that system. A great a great system will allow you to succeed on every haircut. Obviously, there's going to be variables depending on what you're doing and the type of hair and the head shape, and so many variables that there are when you come to do a haircut. But if you follow a system that you know, allows you to follow steps. It'S going to be a lot easier to achieve that result. Every time you move is extremely consistent with your haircuts and that's how i have said it many times. Sometimes it's the most important thing. Some clients just want to make sure that you're consistent and you consistently give them the haircut that they want right like if you show them this is this is how what looks best and they like it. They want to continue getting that same haircut and not being changed every time. So that's why, following the system or creating a system for yourself does wonders like me, i created my own system as the way i like to cut is the way i like to teach, and you know i teach the same system to to when i do classes Working in youtube, or my obviously on my online academy as well, but you know i follow this in system with all the haircuts and it gives me good great results because you know it's something that i have tried done some so many times. So we did after the one and a half we did a one, and then we did a one uh 116, with all the half right or in wall, and i think on one end, this is a zero uh, but pretty much this guard will allow you to Fade that half uh, like the with the machine open to the number one uh clip. So that's that once you're done with the fade you're going to shape it up and the reason i like to do, the shape up is because uh you know before i continue fading is because sometimes when you create that frame uh, it allows you to see. If there's any imperfections or anything, you need to kind of like touch up uh with that with having that frame there, the sideburns, the forehead will allow you to see that. So that's something i always like to do. Um try not to push it back. Obviously so here i'm going to do i'm going to soften that fade a little bit and i'm just using my scissors or shears to soften that and kind of create like what happened with the machine. The machine creates a very uniform um cut on the on the hair. Obviously, because it's going to be all the same, so with scissors, you can actually soften that a little bit. It will give you a better and softer result which results in a nicer blurrier fade. So now that i'm done with that - and i already cut the top we're going to do we're going to blow dry the hair and we're going to blow dry the direction that we want. And then this will allow us to see how the haircut looks and if we need to change anything, then this is the time to do it. I i see many clients that they all they do is that they cut the hair they just let their clients live with, without styling their hair without blow drying their hair, and the problem is that you know like once, a client blows right there or the client Styles, their hair, you don't know if it looks good or not, because the client didn't get a chance to see that. So that's extremely extremely important that you blow dry the hair, you style, the hair. You show the client how the the haircut looks. It'S like, for example, like if you go, get a brand new car and they give you the the brand new car without doing a detail right. It'S a new car. You know it's almost like it's gon na look great, but in that first time that you see that car that it just looks like wow like it looks great, that's extremely important. That'S what's gon na make the client feel confident and feel great. So, in my opinion, it's extremely important that you guys offer this service, which is just it, takes you five minutes to blow dry, that hair and style it and show the client how he's to look with the new haircut. So this is the haircut a lot of texture. You can see the color was cut very nicely and it fades very very nicely. The fade also follows the head shape. So that's it it's a great haircut. Thank you. So much for watching, don't forget to subscribe and like it and i'll see you guys in the next one take care.
