Hey guys it's lissette here the hair is growing period. I told you guys that i'm about to get some inches, and so i'm going to give you guys 10 different tips on little things that i've been trying to incorporate into my routine. Just so i can grow these curls and i feel like it's working, so a huge thank you to aveda for sponsoring today's video. If you like videos like this, then please make sure to give me a big thumbs up and with all that being said, let's get started. I'Ve been trying to incorporate more hot oil treatments into my monthly routine, and so for this one, i'm using coconut oil, jojoba oil and almond oil, and after i mix up all my oils. I just like to heat this with some hot water, because you don't want to microwave it that can kind of ruin like the nutrients of the oils. I like to part my hair in four sections, and so i'm working one section at a time i'm applying the oil on my scalp and just massaging it in and also coating the rest of my hair too, and then i'm just twisting up the section just so I can keep everything organized and the hair is just not getting in the way, but this is a really good. Pre-Poo treatment like before you shampoo, and even if i don't have the time to necessarily heat up the oil, sometimes just applying oil to my hair and detangling, i find that after i shampoo, my hair is always much softer and, depending on the day i'll either leave This on for 30 minutes to a couple hours, this may seem like a no-brainer, but obviously the heat tools got ta. Go, i'm not a person. That is like anti-heat tools. I do feel like every now and again it is something to do for fun or if you want to spice up your hairstyle, i really don't have an issue with it. I just don't want to use anything too excessively, so i'm not really willing to risk the damage, but my number one tip would be to invest in a really good, deep conditioning mask this. One is from aveda it's the botanical repair, intensive, strengthening, mask and rich. This is a super creamy hydrating mask and it's a really intense treatment that instantly strengthens and builds bonds in your hair to help repair damage, and what i love is that all their formulas are cruelty, free, they're, never tested on animals and now 100 vegan. Every time i use this mask my hair just feels like super strong and just moisturized, and of course, this product is free from silicones, parabens, mineral oil and synthetic fragrances. It just revived my curls. It brought some life back to me and my hair just looked really shiny. Ever since 2020, i've been doing my own trims at home. Just so i can kind of like get my hair back to health, and so i just like to dust my ends. I don't like to do like extreme haircuts or anything, but i feel like this way. I can kind of retain my length and i know exactly how much is being cut because it's being cut by me after styling my hair with product, i go curl by curl and, as you can see like this is an example of like some ends. That look kind of thin. I snip it, and i do this to help improve my overall shape, get your hair on a routine about every five days. I shampoo my hair. This one is again from aveda and it's their strengthening, shampoo aveda actually uses plant power technology, and this helps to repair your hair from the inside out. They were the first beauty company to use 100 post-consumer recycled materials in the packaging, and they were also the first beauty company to manufacture all products with 100 wind power through renewable energy credits and carbon offsets. But the shampoo is seriously so good. My hair feels really moisturized, it's not like, stripped or like super squeaky clean, but i like to just focus this on my scalp and then i run this down the rest of my hair and the smell of these products. I mean it's kind of hard to describe, but it's kind of like a very light kind of like natural, fresh smell, but overall i really like it by the way. If you want to check out more products from aveda, then make sure to visit aveda.com to learn more. Sometimes the ponytails are so tight that it's giving you like a mini face. Lift one of the best feelings in the world is taking your hair out of a super tight hairstyle and just feeling that relief and just letting your scalp breathe anytime. I take my hair out of a hairstyle. I just instantly do like a quick little five minute. Massage and so i'm trying to incorporate this into my daily routine, yes daily, routine, so that i can help with the blood flow and just get things circulating and i feel like this has really made a difference. So i've officially incorporated rice water into my regimen results. Coming soon, there's a lot of different recipes online, but this is just how i like to make mine i'm starting off with just some orange peels. We'Re going to use that later so make sure to keep that push it to the side with a bowl. I'M taking just some white rice, it can be any kind of rice, i'm pouring about one cup rice into maybe three cups, water and then i'm just going to scrub the rice and clean it because you know rice is processed and after about five minutes and draining The water - this is what my rice looks like i'm using a mason jar, but you want to use something that has a lid on it, where it's like really secure, and i'm just scooping my rice in and filling it about a third of the way full. I'M adding my orange peels and then i'm also adding some purified water guys, the tap water be nasty, do not use tap water out here. There'S like chunks of stuff in the tap water just use some purified water, so it's filtered and i let it sit out overnight for 24 hours so the next day. This is what we're working with, and so i'm just going to transfer this into my water bottle. Just to make it easier when i'm in the shower and we're ready to go, i'm gon na split my hair in two sections, but first i'm focusing on my scalp and really trying to massage the product in there and after i have like a bunch of rice, Water left - and it's just easier to just pour it. So i'm just pouring this all over my hair from roots to tips and just kind of massaging it all in there. I'M gon na tie my hair up and leave this in for the rest of my shower, but you know you can leave this on for hours. If you want. Sometimes you can even leave it in your hair, but this is just what i like to do after lightly rinsing out the rice, water, i'm just going to use some conditioner just to like coat my hair and really bring that moisture back in and just scrunch up To just have everything really absorb when my hair looks like this it's about time for some tlc, even though i need a shampoo, i always like to condition first, just because it's easier for me to detangle. This is the botanical repair, strengthening conditioner, also from aveda, and this conditioner. I was really loving because i felt like it was super easy to just detangle my hair, but even though it takes longer and it's kind of annoying finger, detangling is the most gentle and, in my opinion, the most effective way to detangle your hair, because you literally Lose barely any hair when you do this, but i really love the texture of this conditioner. I just felt like i could easily just pull apart like all these little tangles and knots, and once i have the one side done, i'm just moving on to the other side and my hair is fully detangled. So after this point i would shampoo, even though certain hairstyles are really cute, it can cause a lot of tension, especially like around your edges and stuff, and if you're, using a lot of gel and edge control that could possibly be damaging over time. I'Ve been making more of an effort to do less, tight, hairstyles and more wash and go's, or just ultimately using a satin scrunchie and just putting my hair in a really loose ponytail and just rocking it like that. You know just chilling around the house and just keeping it like super chill. When is the last time that we like really looked at our hair, and i mean no product just completely looking at it. Seeing what it's about your hair will tell you a lot if you actually listen to it? Is your hair looking extra dry? Is it super frizzy or maybe your curls are just clumping fine, i'm applying a leave-in conditioner into my hair and i'm just applying it on one side. So i can show you the difference. You can see instantly that my hair was super dry, but this side is just like soaking up all the moisture. It definitely looks more shiny and the curls are clumping a lot better. Listen to your hair see what kind of products your hair likes and your hair will definitely. Thank you alrighty guys. We come to the end of this video. I hope you all enjoyed it. If you did, then please make sure to give me a big thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already also another huge, thank you to aveda for sponsoring today's video and i'll see you guys in my next one. Halima Hashi: Your hair is growing lots congratulations keep it growing gorgeous

Nikki Chevolleau: girl you should try rosemary oil for hair growth! it has a very strong smell but i shaved my head about a month ago because my hair was super damaged and it grew literally like a quarter inch in less than a week! i put it on my head then wrap my hair before bed and wash it out in the morning and it helps stimulate the scalp hair growth !

Paola Martinez: Omggg this is so exciting. I work at Aveda and I absolutely love the products, thank you sm for the tips

Gianna: I have a genuine question… so I noticed for me at least that the cleaner my hair is the faster it grows (2 washes a week). I know they say the longer you can wait to shampoo and condition the better but, I questioned in my head like how can hair grow fast and healthy when your scalp is too “clogged”. When I have a clean, not stripped, scalp my hair grows like crazy

Prachi: You are always ready with awesome videos ♥️♥️♥️♥️ love watching you

Toshino Takiyami: Hey been watching your videos for years !!! Keep it going and never give up your a queen !!

potato peach: I love your videos! I have an odd question: do you ever get mats in your hair? Sometimes I get them as soon as two days after wash day. I finger detangle with conditioner in the shower. It usually only happens at the base of my hair. I don’t know how to stop my hair from doing that. If this is something you deal with, could you talk about it in a video?

boodyGod.: Been following you since i was in 8th grade before i knew anything about being a girl .... thanks big sis ❤positive energy your way always .

Mrs. Missspelled: She’s one of the few ytbers that produce quality content ! Love that !!!❤️❤️ and appreciate it!!!

Leah George: I follow all your beauty tips and they work and help

A Sunflower Natural: Your hair looks amazing!!!

LindseyZA: Wow it's been a while since I've been here and her hair is looking so healthy!

kara combres: Number 9 can also affect how your hair grows. If you keep using hair ties for your hair, overtime it will get damaged. Instead using scrunchies work much better as you cant put your hair up tight enough

Lakayla brewer: Coming from someone that has used rice water a number of times, I don’t recommend not washing or conditioning it out your hair, Bc when it’s in your hair for a certain amount of time it begins to smell very bad, and adding oils that are strong like peppermint oil or orange peels usually helps with the smell for the most part but it will still stink just not as bad, and it also tends to smell the worst when you leave it out so I recommend keeping it in the refrigerator.

Kierra Burch: Love this I’m growing my hair longer

Madi and Tay Life: your hair is so gorgeous!! love your shiny curls!

Makayla G.: Along with massaging the scalp you can lean over for like 5 min to get the blood flowing to your roots it helps with growth

Inspiration Motivation: Lisette have you ever thought of using a bonding treatment like olaplex? Not sure if you ever have but especially since you bleached maybe it can help any split or dry ends your hair might have. I love using olaplex for my dry hair.

chocolate bunny: we have the same hair type but when my hair is curly, the next day it’s literally all tangled and cannot be separated. what can you do to make it smooth and easy to detangle?

Alexandrya Towns: She inspires me so much!!!❤️❤️

• nat •: if you have the time - make extra batches and let the rice water ferment bc that’ll REALLY get the hair growth going - do it for at least a week but people have let it ferment for more i started last week & i’m hoping to see some growth soon

Shannon Liefman: Thank you for the video. I was skeptic about rice water because most people told me YOU NEED essential oils! It expensive, thank you for showing even just an orange which is good for body but for your hair too.
