Anyone IV on Grenada watching be on grenade today and today I'm going to give you the video that you all have been requesting. How did I grow my hair so long so fast? If you are new to my channel, let me give you a little recap of how short my hair used to be so in May 2015, I got what I like to call an accidental big chop. I called accidental because I had absolutely no heat damage. My hair was perfectly fine when I got casted as a model in a hair show and they cut off 70 % of my hair. So that was extreme. You know, but you guys can watch that video if you want as well, but this is how short my hair became. So here's my progress picture from June 2015 and then here is my progress picture a year later and we are quickly approaching two years since that big haircut, which is my most recent progress pic right here. So as you can see, it has grown a lot. I must say that my hair kind of does naturally grow pretty fast on its own, but these are all the things that I did. That also could help you. If you have hair that doesn't really tend to grow. As that I know everybody wants, like some secret magic ingredients that I did, but all the tips I'm going to give you are going to require patience and commitment. When I will give you one thing, I know you guys will enjoy, which is voila. This is my groove shampoo, brush scalp massager from Van Zant. You guys have seen this before in a previous video back when my hair was short, so you know that I actually have been using it, but this is a new one, because it's yellow my first one was purple, but Vande planet just came out with a whole Bunch of new colors perfect for spring for, like Easter, colors, there's, yellow green pink. Maybe a blue they're really really cute, but I decided to get the yellow one because it reminded me of a pineapple of course - and this is a great way for you to massage your scalp while you're in the shower. When you think about hair growth, it grows from your scalp, so your scalp is like the most important thing, so you need to take care for your hair to grow. Think of your scalp as like the dirt foundation. When you want to like grow a plant, you can't grow plants in dry, brittle deserts. Okay, unless you want a cactus, but I don't think we're trying to grow cacti over here. You know what I mean, although you could just give yourself scalp massagers layer in the shower with your hand, I personally have long nails, so I don't really want to like scrape my scalp, so the shampoo brush will cleanse your scalp without damaging it, because it has These rubber bristles, so I like to use the brush to really get in there and plus it has little vibrating sensation and the vibration is also going to promote blood circulation which is going to help promote hair growth. It also helps break away and lift up any dead skin cells dirt oil - all that stuff. That builds up over time, which is going to be crucial for you to remove for you to get long growing hair. Now, if you go to the website, you will see that these costs $ 40, but don't worry, you know I got a promo code for you guys you are going to get 50 % off so fuse bianka 50 it'll only make it $ 20. You can pick any color you want, so of course I will put all that information and the link to Mandy planning in the description box below tip number 2 brings me to my sweatshirt, deep condition and chill so important every single time. You guys ask me about your hair damage or hair growth. I always recommend doing a deep conditioning treatment. I do a deep conditioning treatment once a week. I also wash my hair once a week. So pretty much every time i washing my hair, I deep condition. Deep condition does not mean just using a conditioner and like deeply getting it in there. No, no there's conditioner like normal conditioner and then there's actually deep conditioning treatments and hair mask. That is something that you put on your hair and you leave it on for at least 20 minutes. If you want to know which ones I use make sure you follow me on snapchat and Instagram at miss Bianca Renee, I'm always showing you guys what I'm putting in my hair every week tip number three make sure you are using healthy hair product. I always like to use products that are paraben, silicone and sulfate free, and you can see that right on the label. If not, you will have to look at the ingredients on the back and look for certain keywords. I also have a video on how to read bottle, so you can watch that one as well, but it is very important because it goes back to your scalp. If your scalp is dry, it's not going to grow any hair and it could be dry due to sulfate. So if sole face is in your shampoo, it's going to be drying out the natural oils that your hair creates and your hair needs that natural oil to growth - and you also kind of want to try to stay away from silicone. But no funny guys like silicone. If you do don't deal with that, often because it could create buildup, so if you have too much product buildup, it's building up on your scalp, leaving no room for your hair to grow tip number four make sure you drink lots of water. I know we're tired of hearing this tip because everybody says it's, but drinking a lot of water is not only going to help your hair grow. It'S going to clear your skin. It'S going to make your nails grow. It'S going to make a better healthier you! You really can't go wrong. Would you water, your garden with juice and soda? I wouldn't you need water for it to grow. If you have a hard time, cutting out juice and so it and only drinking water, you should only buy water if it's not in your fridge, you're not going to drink it. So literally, when you open the fridge, all you see is water you're going to have to drink water because you're thirsty, you also could spruce it up by getting cute little bottles and makes things more fun to drink in, and you also could add fruit like lemon Strawberry cucumber, this will add a little bit more flavor to your water and it looks cute number five. How are you sleeping at night make sure that you sleep on a satin pillowcase? No, it doesn't really to help your hair grow, but it's more to maintain your hair growth. When your hair is rubbing on the pillowcase at night, you're creating friction, you can cause breakage and if it's breaking off, it's not going to look like it's growing, even if it is sleeping on a cotton pillowcase. It'S actually sucking up the oils from your hair and now you're, going to wake up with dry, brittle frizzy hair. I personally always sleep with my hair on a pineapple hairstyle and I sleep on a satin pillow case, but if your hair is shorter or too short for a pineapple, you could then just use a satin bonnet satin bonnet on a satin pillowcase. Your is going to be sliding around, but ain't nothing gon na mess up those curls and tip number six, which is the obvious one coming from me, which is don't put heat on your hair. I personally have started a no heat challenged in a minute. You are involved in and I hope none of you gave up yet, but if you could just eliminate putting heat on your hair, it's going to grow so much faster. I got to tell you. I am so tired of girls doing a length check as an excuse to straighten their hair. If you're never going to wear your hair straight, then why are you so concerned about the length of it when it's straight? You have to be actually concerned about how long it is when it's curly. If I always wear my hair like this, why do I care that it's down to here like a school, the looks length check, I pulled it. It'S going to go right back up, no heat damage, no straightening. I'Ve just showed you so many progress pictures and I did not straighten my hair want to know that my hair is growing. Okay, I figured it out put two and two together yeah, it grew. This is what I want you to do. I want you to literally print out a picture of me. Okay - and I want you to tape it on your straightener, the next time you grab for your screen or you see me going uh-huh uh and then you won't strain your hand, so you'd all be sad. I get better when you guys tell me or straighten your hair. It'S true. I can't sleep at night. Do you want me to go without sleep? I think another thing that I want you guys to do is make sure you take pictures. It might sound crazy, but I don't even realize how long my hair has gotten until you guys tell me that and I'm like help you're right or I look at my old pictures and I'm like wow, it really has grown. We see ourselves every day, so your hair could be growing but you're sitting there mad like it's, not just because you don't realize it. So that is everything that I've literally done since that big chop, that you saw. I'M always posting new videos for you guys, so that your curly hair journeys are as easy as possible. I both new curly haired videos every single Sunday and if you don't want to wait till Sunday make sure you follow me on Instagram, Twitter and snapchat at Miz. Beyond Brunei, you could see me every day. I hope to see you all next week, thanks for watching beyond grenade today,

Amanda Morgan: I started doing scalp massages and my hair finally grew two inches! #TeamNoHeat

Kyle Alvarez: I started growing my hair out in November 2016 and you were my inspiration behind it because I found a video of yours on accident. I've never looked back and I can't wait to see how my hair looks later in my hair journey. Thanks for your hair advice and I love your videos!

Sunshine and Rain: Yass!!! I love how consistent and honest you've been about hair growth over the years!! I went cold turkey with juice and soda a year ago and my hair and skin are better for it! P.S. Not sure what day your birthday is but in two weeks I'm turning 28 as well. I knew I liked you for a reason #TaurusClub #Late80sBabies

Michaela Evans: I want to thank you for helping me understanding my curly hair. Now I love it and now I have the knowledge and tools to take care of it.

Frances Keller: Been heat free since April of this year and have started deep conditioning once to twice a week since September! Twice a week is very much needed in the winter time!

Lena Alexander: I just found you again on YouTube and I'm thankful I did. I actually haven't straightened my hair since I was in 8th/freshman year I'm pretty sure. I'm a senior now. And I remember it's because of you and a few other YouTubers that I stopped putting heat to my hair. I realized how precious my hair was and I'm happy to say after my big chop and trimming my hair I'm growing it back out. And I thank you for that confidence boost all the way back the Bianca

Terrance Boykin: thanks Bianca I've been using your tips for only 3 weeks and see a significant change from s curl to just general hair maintenance you've really helped out a lot

JayPoetic: Happy Resurrection Sunday! You're hair looks amazing short or long!#teamnoheat I haven't straightened my hair in almost 2years

Kayla’s Koils: Currently on a #NoHeatChallenge for a year. I've went months at a time with out heat but never just went cold turkey. It feels good though bc I'm at the point to where I really don't have the urge for straight hair anymore. Plus I keep uping the months each time I straighten my hair. First time I did 3 months then 6 now 12

PinapplePizza: Girl, you are my FAVORITE curly hair youtuber . Love your videos you get to the point and you tell it how it is!

Karin Miranda: yes I'm going to do the no heat as well. I just start my transition from yesterday. I did the braid out method... thank you so much these video they are very helpful ✌

Kimberly Morales: I'm new to your channel and I am LOVING YOU!! great tips and the knowledge you have is amazing.... your curls are gorgeous.. starting the process of getting my curls back..

Genesis Baez: Amazing progress, your hair is beautiful!!! My growth seems to be coming along well, after my bigchop it only took 6months to reach my original length, but now my regimen isnt working and my hair seems dryer. Any tips? (I do deep condition 1-2 a week, all natural products, Sulfate&Silicone Free)

Faith Rains: Thanks for the discount code! Ordered mine while listening to you. Super excited to use it. Great tips!!

Koby Lomax: Bianca, you're just great! Loved this (as always) #TeamNoHeat

curlystasia sara: Great tips! Yes I'm still on the #Noheatchallenge

Cecilia Connick: hey bianca new subbie here! im transitioning to natural in my 4th month now but i had stopped using heat ages ago no flat irons no blow dryers nada! i live in zambia so enough heat blowing through the air! thanks for the tips will follow like a mini bible. you look great your hair is beautiful keep those videos coming its encouraging for me everyday i get more n more excited coz i see the changes in my hair already! i think im 3C/4A

Terrasse Berry: I have been wanting this massaging brush since I started watching natural hair tubers. Thank you so much!

Rodwa Aboomar: Youre such an honest and trustworthy youtuber, never change :)

Ashley monique: I went naturally personally to wear my hair both ways. It's really hard to find someone who still straightens their hair. I like to have long straight hair sometimes and others times I like to have my shrunken curly hair. I don't think it's a bad to straighten your hair in moderation or even do length checks if you want to. But it's all on preference I guess. If you always wear your hair curly I guess there's no point in straightening it. :) Girl your hair grew FAST THOUGH!

Janae Poisson: Haven't straightened my hair since December it's struggle but it's worth it love your channel❤️

Alexandra Lee: No heat challenge still going strong!!! Luv you Bianca!

J M2020: Going through chemo right now. My hair was a little shorter than yours is right now (picture on my YouTube profile). Because of treatment I shaved my head. I miss my hair so much. I hope it doesn't take forever to grow back.

Justine Horton: Hadn't straightened my hair for 2 1/2 years. Big chopped in November of 2015. Now I can finally put all my hair in a ponytail and/or bun on top of my head.

Adrianna Morales: This video is great ! I definitely needed this reminder . Just got a great and definitely needed trim yesterday

JaCara KM: I totally agree about not having to straighten your hair to do a length check especially if you don't plan on wearing it straight all the time. I only straighten my hair once or twice a year but it's to switch things up and rock a different do for a couple of weeks. However, I do prefer my curly hair to the straight hair.

Zuzu: Hey BiancaRenee! I've got a silly question for you. I just went natural a few months ago and my hair is growing out. I feel like my curls look pretty good from the outside, but when I stick my hands into my hair, I can't feel the definition all the way to my scalp... it's like a fluffy mess in there! Our curl types are very very similar, so I was wondering if this is a normal thing and I'm just obsessing over trying to get each curl defined from root to tip? Is it actually normal for curly hair to be fluffy on the inside and defined on the outside? I live in a predominantly white city with no DEVA salons or salons that specialize in natural hair, so I don't have any real life hair role models to ask!

Jazmin Jordan: Great tips! I need to drink more water, and can hopefully get a much needed trim really soon at Southern Curl Atlanta (Deva inspired salon). I will have my hair straightened in August or September for a change for two weeks since I have had it done since early November 2013, and then back to my beautiful curly hair. I need that t-shirt and that Vanity Planet scalp massager for my scalp.

Christian Cashelle: Team no heat since November! I'm getting better at these tips! Patience is my problem lol

itsme74: "Yeah ... it grew" Length checks with heat are my pet peeve, too. Thx for the promo code .. Just in time b/c I'm not sure how waterproof it is anymore -- dropped too many times in the bath and cracked the case. What can I say ... my products have too much slip

Pao Pao: Hey Bianca ! Thanks for the awesome hair growth tips ! I wanted to ask if you could post a video of prom hairstyles for curly hair ? I have the same curl patterns as you and I have no clue what style to do for prom I would appreciate it !

Ndaraja Dejesus: I SOLD MY STRAIGHTENER!!!!!!! NO HEAT WEEK(S) CHALLENGE!!!! I do use low heat setting on my blow dryer on my bottom CURLS ONLY to stretch the curls because I hate shrinkage in the back! But not all the time because my hairstyle lasts a long time as long as I put it in a pineapple! Any other tips on how I can stretch my hair besides the blow dryer once in a while???

Syd Williams: still on that no heat challenge!!! i was gonna do it anyways but then i saw your video and was like "well, i might as well jump on the train with her then" lol

Em Jai: Great video !! Your hair really did grow fast !!

Taylor Manning: I've made it 3 months so far, will be 4 months on the 25th of may, i usually I ONLY make it to the 2 month mark then give in to my straighter just bc I never knew how to style my curly hair, now I do The only issue I keep having is getting my hair to last and not having to refresh my curls daily bc I hate having wet hair everyday. going to straighten my hair on the 25 of June at the 5 month mark then leave it until I deliver my twins Sep 13th bc I don't want to have curly hair in the hospital and trying to style it for pictures lol having a c_section and carting for two babies at once ill be to tiered for all that but as soon as I heal its back to curly hair hopefully I don't get heat damage.

Amya Lee: I got the same scalp brush from dollar tree. Same rubber bristles and it helps really well

Keysha Pereira: Still haven't given up the no heat challenge ❤️ started in December!

Nicole J Boone: You are HILLARIOUS!!! Love your personality! Great video and tips! Thanks!

Ashley D'Agostino: I was in a Well a hair show years ago which was fun, but as the only curly girl there, I was the only one that got an aggressive chopping It looked super cute though!

Mallory Latini: #teamnoheat I've been doin everything except the vibrating shampoo thingy so I'm getting one this week.

Milo Marie: I love your channel, which I just discovered today. I have litterally no idea what Im doing to my hair. Ive been washing it everyday ( I work out and i thought i needed to because of sweaty stankness.) and my friend was mortified when she found out. i use gels to keep my frizz down, no idea what to do with a blow dryer, and had to cut it short two years ago. i have been so miserable with it short, and it's been so frizzy. But your channel is giving me ideas and hope ( and direction, cuz im all over the place...)

Chrisy B.: Thank you, I only deep condition once a month. #TeamNoHeat

Golden Yonis: Thanks for the tips ...it's really help me

Jonni Stephenson: Going for this challenge. Thank you

Curlie.Crown: #teamnoheat still doing the challenge! awesome tips!

Tiffany Gibson: I love you so much... I watch at least one of your videos a day since I for the past week just so I know some of what I'm supposed to do be doing. It doesn't even matter what video it is! They're all amazing!!!

sweet basil: Thank you for your tips Bianca!! Could you please do a video about how we protect our curly hair from the chloride in the swimming pool?

jasmine harrison: HANDS DOWN the BEST curly hair I've seen on YouTube <3 you are hair goals! I have a question though, does my hair cut have anything to do with my growth? I want to get a deva cut but not sure if that will help with my growth..thanks for the tips!

Tiara Harrison: Thanks for the discount code I just ordered my shampoo brush, I can’t wait to use it

Maritza Zavaleta: i had gone on an amazing natural hair journey i had virgin hair five years no heat and then.... i started going to the club and bars and i thought i wanna do my hair! i'll straighten it. so the downward spiral of hating my curls began again! as if i was back in high school hating it! then i again went on a natural journey, two years i probably used heat 3 times. and then i decided i want long straight hair, got straight tape ins and straightened my natural hair every day!!! so here i am.... 4 months into my AGAIN natural journey.................. and its even easier this time because of YOU and the youtube curly world!!!! :*

Westy: I haven't straightened my hair for 3-4 years?? I think, and still going, but gl to everyone who is on the challenge!!! Great video!!

Jose Contreras: Thanks. This is the best summary of great tips for curly hair

Justyce M.: You are the reason I stopped straightening my hair !

Kat Mackey: I know it’s an old video but next month it’ll be a whole year without heat! I just started using wigs whenever I wanted it to be straight.... my next challenge is a whole year without dying my hair

Caroline: I got one of those scalp brushes (doesnt vibrate but still works great) at Sally's for like $3. Best $3 I've ever spent

Selena075: Your hair is amazing omg the color and length

hanna dan: OMG thank u so much for all your positive information your support, help Keep the good job from Uk

4evahazeleyez: Great video and tips! #TeamNoHeat

Rebekah Gonzalez: Drinking water is the main reason I can recover from breakouts (hormonal) so quickly. I always notice the difference when I travel and don’t have my constant supply of water! Bonus points for a reusable water bottle!

MYRA Willams: I love your videos. Have hard time growing my hair out I'm bircial as well .. Very good information

CurlsV SeedStar: I can be your best buddy Bianca I'm battling chemical color damage BUT I have ONLY straightened my hair TWICE in my 42 years of life !!! and to be honest I hated it both times

molly hearley: Omg so glad I found your channel finally someone who knows about curly hair haha

Maha D: I used your code and ordered the brush directly!

Jan Robert Escudero: #Teamnoheat! My hair was already short(chin length). I'm a guy with curly hair so I start growing it. I went to stylist instead of a barber like always to get a trim like a good curly person. She got too scissor happy and now it's nose length. But with pre poo and deep conditioning every wash day. Now It reaches my lips after a month !!!!

Jazzie Trash: My hair hasn't grown in a LONNNG time. My curls are the same length as yours and a 3c/4a pattern. I also have a problem washing my hair on my own. It's really difficult for some reason.

Jade Alexandria: Thanks for the tips and Easter upload!! Does the code on the vanity planet massage thing ever expire?

Krystle Nicole: Your hair is fabulous, girl!!!!

Venecia Springbok: Awww your hair is just so gorgeous.

Michelle De Gannes: Hey B, it's Michelle i've recently subscribed to ur channel - totally enjoy it! And i've transitioned from locks and recently had a keratin treatment - is this considered a harsh chemical treatment?

Renata Soares: I'm from Brazil and I loved this video

LVNCSR: Your hair has really grown!!! Did you use the Inversion Method? What did you do to grow it so long and beautiful?

albeeinla: My hair is highlighted from my stylist. I used that brush and had breakage. It broke all along the front hair line. Left center and right parts. . I think this is something that's dependent on the hair. If one gets a chemical service I do not recommend those brushes whatsoever especially if the hair has had bleach in it

Ana G: Biancaaaa! I'm in love with your hair!
