This video is going to be all about how you guys cannot grow your hair to this kind of length even longer, if you really want and more importantly, how to keep it this length without having it break off. Hi guys it's Lana here and today, I'm giving you the top 10 ways to grow your hair by avoiding breakage. Please like the video. If you liked it and don't forget to subscribe to my channel and let's get into the tips, number one is to not brush your hair. Quite so hard aka be more gentle. If you don't have time to do the intricate hairstyle before you go out, so you don't have time to be brushing it gently if you're rushing around and you're getting stressed, don't take it out on your hair either pick a hairstyle, that's less demanding on your hair Or take the time to do it gently and turn up late Beauty takes time, it'll be worth it it'll be worth it on the night when your hair looks better and don't be worth it in the long run when you still have hair at the end of It all number two is to not pull so tight. We are currently living in an age where ponies are high enough to give you a facelift and bonds are slicker than silk to get the desired effect. Their aim is to pull your hair as tightly as it will go, smooth it all down and then tie it tightly with a hair tie. It looks good in the moment. Don'T get so caught up in trying to achieve that perfectly sleek. Look that you end up causing damage to your hair in the long run. Putting that much pressure on your strands literally leads them at a breaking point. Your hair breaks off around the hair tie, it breaks off, and your edges literally your edges are snatched so quit the tight tight ponytails before your edges. Quit you number three is to be careful with the hair elastics that you choose it's pretty important. I always opt for satin, scrunchies, satin, hair accessories to keep your eyes peeled because I might be coming at you with some setting hair accessories of my own. It'S released I'll drop it in the description box. Add the Instagram page! That'S where they're going to be dropping. If you don't want to use the site in hair accessories, if, for some reason, your hair needs just a plain old, discreet, hair tie and for the love of all things holy, do not use just like the rubbery ones, don't use them, don't use them. They get stuck in your hair, they cause breakage, they rip your hair out. They'Re horrible, don't do it. It was like a punishment in PE. If anyone ever gave you one of those rubber hair elastics, because you need to put your hair up in PE and you didn't bring one - don't do it yourself, what you need is a hair tie that has no rubber exposed, no metal clips on it. And if you hear anything like me, when you tie your hair up and it snaps and it's the only thing, you've got left. So you just tie it into a knot and just use that, and then you always end up getting hair stuck in it and there's rubber exposed on it. Just try and get yourself a new hair tie ASAP. That'S a new hair tie for aisle 4 number 4. Is to avoid sulfates and silicones, so I'm kind of guilty of skipping on this step myself and lately, and that's because silicones do offer a silky Sheen, that's pretty hard to find anywhere else. There are quick fix and misleading they're cheaper. So I have shown you like a lot of cheap products lately, which are really bad just in case you do need a cheaper product. They do work in the short term. You know with silicones we're talking about conditioners, leave-in conditioners, cold creams, because they give you a kind of moisturized feeling, but it's kind of synthetic and that leads to you having to use sulfates in order to remove it in order to actually get nutrients into your hair. Because the silicone coats, your hair and does not let nutrients in so if you actually want to deep condition, your hair you're gon na have to cleanse all of those silicones away with a sulfate first and it's just aa egg. You know just one thing leads to another, so if you can avoid them, if you can avoid them, then do products do tend to be more expensive. So just keep that in mind. If you do need the cheaper products, then don't feel guilty about having to use silicones and sulfates. It is what it is, and I've shown you a whole bunch of products that I feel like work on my hair, my hair's kind of wet right now, if you guys can tell number 5, is deep conditioning curly, hair care is an ocean and we barely skim. The surface with daily haircare routines did you like my poem every week. I want you guys to try it a deep conditioner. This is gon na. Take care of the hair that you already have. This whole video is about a wooden breakage that leads to hair growth. So you can be trying to grow our hair from your scalp, but it's gon na make no difference if our hair is breaking. If I harness damaged it was in a bad condition. It'S gon na break off you're, not gon na see any of that growth that you're getting so take care of the hair that you already have use a deep conditioner every week. That'S really gon na get into the hair moisturize it nourish. It condition it from the inside out. There are tons of deep conditioning products available to you. I encourage you use them every week. Number six is finger detangling, so I myself have been really enthusiastic about this and I don't really care about this. You know it's like a roller coaster for me, but finger detangling because it messes in my nails. If I do it too much you know like, but what I will say is finger. Detangling helps my hair to not break because if I just jump straight in with my detangling routine, I jump right in with a brush. I'M gon na create a lot of breakage. I'M gon na brush out a lot of hair that did not want to come out. There'S gon na be a lot of tangles there, so what you can do is you can spend maybe even just a minute or so sifting through your hair and just really moving things around, so that is in the right place for when you want to come in With a comb or a brush, because sometimes you find you've got a huge tangle that could have been completely avoided just by moving this to here this to there just you know just separating things of beer, if you don't do that, it's gon na be so much Worse for you, so I just encourage you just to spend a few minutes 30 seconds 60 seconds and it's going to save your hair. Your hair is going to grow and it's gon na. Thank you, for it number seven is to avoid baseball caps and sunglasses. Listen. I know we are all celebrities of our own lives. Sometimes we just need to head out with a baseball cap on sunglasses heck. Even you might need a mask sometimes because if you ever done your makeup and stuff - and you know you're about to see everybody, you might even get packed, you don't know. What'S gon na happen that day you don't know so. Maybe it's a table. You need a baseball cap and sunglasses, and you just want people to see your face. Do what you need to do boo when that baseball cap comes off. Please do not be sliding your song is onto your head. I make this mistake so many times it's such a bad habit, but the little nosey bits here on the sunglasses I put them on my head and then it takes me five minutes to get them off again because they take my edges. They take my fringe. They take my hair with them every time I take them off, I'm like oh, oh literally, there's been so many times when the Sun is in my eyes, and people are like when you put your sunglasses on and I'm like this, I'm good, I'm good, because it's Stuck it's loose, you're stuck and I'm like yeah. That'S right! That'S how I wanted it. That'S how I wanted it, I'm good with the Sun. You know I can't see right now. We'Ve got sunspots in my eyes, but it's good. That'S how I wanted it, because I cannot get the sunglasses off. It will take your hair with it and the same if you wear regular, seeing glasses. If you have like this sticky nosey bit right here, it's gon na get tangled in your hair. So try to break out that habit of putting glasses on top of your heads. This area is gon na thin out after a while, after a long hot summer, with baseball caps, any kind of hat. Actually, if it's rubbing right here that can cause a lot of breakage down the back right here, also just all over. So if you're wearing one that's really tight or if it's just rubbing, you can cause breakage on your hairline you're, not gon na see hair growth. If your hairs breaking off number eight, do I need to tell you in 2019 avoid heat and chemicals. So I'm talking about the straightener, I'm talking about the curling iron, I'm talking about even diffusing your hair too. Damn often I'm talking about bleach and I'm talking about relaxers, they weaken your hair that chemical process, the chemicals in bleach, the chemicals and relaxers this chemical process. There'S a very very intense chemical process happens to your hair and it weakens it if we can sit and your hair can survive. Your hair can still grow, though, and you see people and they have curly hair, even though it's bleached, but it's so much more difficult. You have to treat your hair so much more nicely and people don't have the patience for it. Lots of people don't have the time or the money to be doing everything that your hair now requires after you've bleached it. So if you don't want to have the baby, your hair, if you don't want to have like a new child on your hair, their little baby that you have to take care of then avoid chemicals and the same with heat like when you're applying intense heat on Your hair, it weakens your hair, it damages it and it breaks off number nine use, hair, thickening creams. This whole video we've been trying to grow our hair from the bottom up. That works to is a very important part of trying to grow your hair, taking care of there that you already have, but equally, you kind of want to stimulate new hair growth. You want to make your hair grow faster from your scalp. So how can we do that? You can use a hair, thickening, hair, strengthening serum. You can apply that directly to your scalp. There are DIY ones that you can use, but there are also ones you can buy in the store and they obviously have a lot more packed into them. They'Re, obviously more rigorously tested I've been thinking over using one myself, because I think my hair line, I don't know what I did to it. I think I did a lot of high ponytails. You know. Ariana grande is BAE and I do a lot of high ponytails and I pulled pretty tightly in my hairline, so I experienced it first hand of my hair kind of thinning out. So I want to use a hair serum and there are tons of them available. You can use oils, you can use peppermint oil, it very stimulating on the scalp. You can make your own serums like that. You can buy them massage them in. If you do it regulate you'll, see that your hair becomes thicker. Eventually, your hairs gon na become longer because that hair that's growing is stronger and number ten. Finally, we reached number ten number. Ten is hair vitamins. Vitamins we've been hearing a lot about a certain brand of beauty vitamins. Lately I personally, like my vitamins, to not have so much drama attached to them. I just want to take you know our children and then whatever I don't know. If I tried that brand, maybe I will maybe we can see what it's all about sugar bear: hair versus halo debate: I've never taken sugar, my hair either! If you guys want to see me trying out sugar, bear hair versus trying out halo and drop it in the comment section down below the vitamins that I've taken before I've come from hair finiti, I've used a whole bunch and they will help you to grow healthier. Hair so when I very first started out on this journey - and I was a student and I was super broke and I don't think I could afford like the more expensive hair vitamins, so what I went for instead was folic acid. I bought folic acid and I would eat that so that is everything for today's video. I really hope that you enjoyed it. Please remember to thumbs it up. If you did, if you have any more questions about hair growth or hair care, then please drop them in the comment section down below you. Guys know that I am always here as soon as I post this video I'm here at my computer or I've got my phone in hand and I'm replying to every comment that comes in for an hour two hours or so after I post the video, and then I have to get on with the rest of my life and also, let me know if you want me to do the hallo vs. sugar there hair video, but until then you can give you an Instagram.
