Whoa, okay: this is weird: hey babes! What'S up it's haley and welcome back to my channel happy 2022 and what better way than to kick off the new year in a new place in a new state in a new country, i haven't done a fashion video in a hot minute. Ever since doing my entire style series and watching those back, i think that i was like really dumping on trends a lot, but now, after reflecting, i kind of realized that it's really important to take a step back analyze. The trends that are going on in the fashion industry right now and you're still able to pick and choose things that you like for yourself just because you're styling some trends that are currently popular, it doesn't mean you don't have personal style. That'S a perfect segue into today's video. I'M going to be taking you guys through 22 trends, that you can thrift in 2022. and because i'm going to be showing you so much, you guys can really just pick and choose which ones you think will apply to you and i'm going to show you a Ton of examples, too, through photos and through actual pieces as well, because today's video is actually sponsored by thredup thredup is probably my favorite collaboration to do. They are the world's largest online thrift store. They have all of your favorite brands from like free people to mango to aurizia, all of them for up to 90 off the estimated retail so grab a pen and paper. You guys be sure to jot down these trends as well as some of the brands from thredup that i'm mentioning and you can use my code haley to get an extra 30 off. Your first thread up order. Y'All, i'm so excited to get into it, because i put some hardcore research into this. So let's get into it, but let's go ahead and kick it off. The first trend that i want to talk about super hot for fall, 2021, definitely into winter and now heading into the new year, and that is a leather. I mean leathers of all type leather, pants, leather, blazers, leather jackets, and i am stoked to show you these two pieces. If you watched my last vlog, i feel so grateful to say that my mother-in-law was cleaning out her closet and she gave me a couple of her leather jackets that she no longer wears they're, italian and they're stunning. I love this like caramel color. It'S definitely the vibe that i have going on in this room, and oh this one, this one, you guys this sage, green leather, i'm so obsessed sage, is also a really hot color this year and just the structure of this jacket is ideal. It looks so good on and there's so many different ways to style it. I'M obsessed and i really love the idea of leather accessories like this bag that i thrifted from thredup. It is actually a suede leather and it has a little bit of the fur trim. This beautiful neutral color is amazing. This one is from the brand report. Leather, it kind of like rests perfectly on the shoulder tip for you guys. If you are searching on the thredup website, you're looking to get yourself a leather bag, they have so many different like search engines that can make it so simple, just go to the women's handbag section and go down into the fabrics there. You can actually go ahead and check off the leather and you have the faux leather option as well. You can go ahead and check those off and it will show you a multitude of different faux leather and leather handbag options. It makes the search for this trend so much easier, but the leather trend leads me into the next trend, which is the fringe everything very western is the vibe. This year we all saw the cowboy boot trend and how popular that was in the summer. Here are just a couple of examples of what we're seeing on the runways this year and i definitely feel like jackets is going to be the main way that people are doing this. But you could also take this trend into accessories as well. Having like a really simple outfit and then a purse with some fringe on, it can definitely add some texture into your look. Let'S just say: finding these in person at the thrift store are so hard. If you come across it, you are super lucky, but i cracked the code, if you guys do want jackets in this style, all you have to do is go on the thredup website and in the little search bar type in fringe and frayed. Accents here are just a couple that i came across and you know what i'm actually going to do for you guys i'm going to go ahead and link down below a few pieces of every single one of these trends that is currently available on the thredup website. I'M going to leave a link down below if you want to check it out, maybe shop it for yourself. Moving on this next one is one of my favorites, and that is pops of color. I am very much a color girl and as much as i do love my neutrals, adding a pop of color. It just brings a life to my looks, but if you do want to go bolder, a really easy way to do so is just to pair a really colorful sweater into your outfit. This coba, blue and kelly green are definitely going to be hot colors for 2022.. These two sweaters were actually thrifted from thredup as well. I was sporting, this green, like a ton already, this green sweater is from the brand halogen estimated to cost 55. I got the sweater for just 21.99. This turtleneck right here, thrifted from thredup as well. It'S actually from the brand j crew estimated to cost 85. I just got this one for 24.49, so platform shoes were really popular this year and i definitely see that they're going to be really hot for 2022. But another trend that i personally really like and i find are so flattering - are square toad boots, but i do think that boots with this kind of toe are so fun to style. They add so much edge to your look. I was luckily able to find it two incredible ones on thredup these are a pair of stuart weitzman's that i got for under fifty dollars and then the second pair of boots. I mean look at this stunning contrast stitch they're from the brand parade. I was able to get them on thredup for just 25. I actually think that we're gon na be seeing a merge of the two trends square toe with a platform. That'S definitely gon na be coming in hot. Moving on. I love this next trend and that is pearl core. I think we just started adding the word core to everything to make it its own aesthetic. But yes, pearl core has made an appearance and i've seen it on tick tock. I actually love it. I am obsessed with pearls, but definitely not like the little pearl embellishments on those sweaters that you saw back in 2008. Instead, i love the pearl accents. This is a bag that i thrifted from thredup years ago, i'm talking like before pandemic. Maybe two years ago i love it so much. I wear it a ton, it fits everything i need, and it just rests so nicely on the shoulder. Here'S another accessory. It'S a pearl headband that i thrifted so long ago. I'Ve just been keeping it around because i really felt like pearls were gon na come back hardcore at some point, and this is definitely the year. I already wore it out on one of my first nights in miami and i absolutely love it. Hats. Hats are another huge trend and when i say hats, i just mean the umbrella of hats in general, and the two hats that i want to emphasize on are baseball caps, which right now they've been kind of on a descend because we're in the winter months. But i do know come spring and summer people are going to be styling, baseball, hats, a ton, but if you're more into the bucket hat style, i definitely see a re-emergence of this crochet hat trend. Crochet has definitely had its moment when it comes to clothing and purses. I do feel like now we're going to see him more into hats. Haley bieber, just yesterday posted a photo in this hat, and i already had it on my list. The next trend is the oversized shirts this trend. What i love is that it's so easy and i feel like it's really accessible and it's really safe. So if you don't want to go ahead and try something too bold, you can easily style this plus it's comfortable. The oversized shirts, just like the one i'm wearing here, i'm wearing a blue one. I also have a nice crisp white one and i feel like these are the two shades that are the most versatile to have. Obviously we know oversized has been in for a very long time. I got both of these off of thredup. This first one is from j crew and then the blue one is from jjill, and these are both 100 linen, which is my tip. If you guys want that, like perfectly flowy, beachy kind of look, the way that i find them on thredup is in the women's section. I just go ahead and write in the long sleeve button down, but the key is to go to the materials section and just check off linen and there we'll show you all the different shirts in the linen fabric. So you know that this is the kind of movement you're going to get if you get one of those. So since we're already talking about oversized the next accessory, i want to talk about. That'S going to be super hot for 2022 is oversized sunglasses. Everyone was super into the tiny frames at some point, but now it's all about the 60s and the 70s style frames. Let'S just say this is kind of new for me, because i was very much someone who loved her tiny little frames. They can be fun and i'm definitely still experimenting with it. Each of these i got for under 15 on the thread upside and they're, both also in that tortoise color, which is definitely my favorite right now. Some of these i'm going to mention really quickly. Otherwise, this video will be super long. The next one i wanted to mention was cat suits. I didn't know the difference between jumpsuits and cat suits. I'M assuming katsu's is very, like catwoman style, a very tight, very fitted on the legs. All the way up, i wanted to try it, so i thrifted one on thread up. This is actually a nike one and it really really resembles the one from maurizia that is like over 100. I think there's people who go all out i mean just like kim, did and then there's people who wear it on a more casual athleisure style, which is definitely more what i'm comfortable with the next 20 22 trend is going to be all things courses. So a lot of shirts that have a lot of boning, i think, with the emergence of like skins and shapewear, that's kind of why we're seeing a lot of this body hugging, showing off your figure, no matter what figure you have. I would probably style something like this with like a bigger baggie or shirt, underneath i like that. Lyric look a little bit more rather than just the corset, because i feel like on me. It'S just overexposing and this actually leads into the next trend. That is super popular as well, and that's everything ballerina inspired the five-year-old in me loves this, because i loved everything about the ballerina aesthetic from like the hand warmers and the leg warmers to the amazing tulle and tutus the tights too. Let'S not forget the tights, so i think these, like boning corset style, tops with the hand warmers and the leg. Warmers is the way that i've been seeing. People replicating this style, but apparently ballet flats are going to be making a comeback, totally flat, ballet flats. Yes, we never thought we would see the day, but apparently we're here, but back to the part of the trend. I really do like covering up your arms in different ways has definitely been a new type of layering that we've been seeing and opera gloves is one of those trends and yes, i mean opera gloves the elegant super long gloves that you would wear if you're going To a really fancy opera event, i'm really curious to see how they're going to be taking this trend into more like an everyday person style kind of wear, because i definitely see how opera style gloves can be worn on more special occasions. I think my take on this would definitely be the fingerless glove trend. I love this trend because not only is it practical and actually keeping your hands warm, i find it so cute and it's like an added layer to complete your look. You can really add a pop of color by adding this, especially if you knit them for yourself. You go girl like i wish. I had the patience to learn knitting, but the fingerless gloves so cute brings me back to the early 2000s, the person wearing the fingerless gloves, she's the main character, she's, the main character of the movie and what parents really wear with the fingerless gloves the balaclava. I'M gon na be real with you guys. I never even knew this thing had a name until i heard lainey talk about it, lainey ozark, she's, a fashion icon on youtube. We all know it. She mentioned the balaclava coming into style, to wear it on an everyday basis. It was very hard for me to grasp, but now that i'm actually seeing like a flood of people knitting their own balaclavas like these patterns, these colors, these textures are so creative. They look. So fun and definitely practical they'll actually keep you warm too speaking of lady. By the way i love that girl's style. She posted an instagram photo wearing these incredible pattern. Tights and oh my gosh, they looked so good. I would have never chosen those out in the store, but somehow in the whole outfit they looked amazing and i do definitely think, especially for next year's fall and winter. We'Re going to be seeing a lot of patterned tights in general, we've been seeing a lot of like the logomania ones like the gucci ones and the chanel ones, but i'm talking about pattern tights, like czech ones and gingham ones, even to go as far as to Say: color tights. I really think that's gon na be back too. The next trend that i saw popping up a lot was a glitter metallic everything shiny. I personally don't love this trend. I feel like it's a lot harder for me to style like metallic fabrics and shiny accents. That leads me into chain belts. I was really surprised to see that this was coming back, because this was super big in the early 2000s, like body chains and big chain belts and all that kind of stuff. I haven't tried this out for myself just yet, but it's because i haven't been able to thrift one i'm curious if i could pull it off, because i just don't really wear belts in general. I really thought we were gon na leave y2k in 2021, but there's so many trends from the early 2000s that are gon na be progressing into the new year. Like ties to actually wear ties with your clothes, i feel like the only person who was ever able to pull this off was avril lavigne or serena vanderwoodsen when she was in school, but to wear it on an everyday occasion. It'S hard for me to grasp, but i do think i saw a tick-tock of somebody doing it and they pulled it off really. Well, so would i try it probably do i have high hopes? Not so much bra tops is another trend that was really popular. It'S very low on the list, because it's not something that i would try. I personally don't mind showing like a tiny little bit of midriff, but anything more than that. I just don't feel comfortable in all the years i've been on my channel. I don't think once you would have ever seen me in a bra top. I just personally don't feel so comfortable, exposing so much skin. But that's just me, so i love socks and i love sandals, but socks and sandals together for sure this is only on the list, because emma chamberlain posted a photo wearing socks and sandals, and if emma chamberlain wears socks and sandals, we all wear socks and sandals. I guess the only reason that i find this trend so funny is because, if i'm wearing sandals it's too hot for socks, why would i wear socks? You feel me and then the last trend of 2022, probably one of the most controversial ones, that people are like really split down the middle in terms of how they feel about it, and that is low rise, jeans and lower eye skirts. It'S actually crazy to see how compared from last year last year, i feel like 95 percent of people were like no low rise, don't come back, we can't do it, it is not flattering, it is not comfortable at all. To now i'm seeing like a 50 50 split, so many people know how to rock low rise so well. I personally feel like the key to a good low rise. Pant is to have them be really baggy, because jeans that are both tight and low rise. I'M just thinking about how uncomfortable that would be, but if you have like really baggy jeans that sit right at the hips, i think that can look really good. I mentioned just 22 of the trends that either i foresee coming into style, or i'm already kind of like seeing creeping up on the web, the web. Does anyone even call it that anymore? Let me know down below, though, which of these trends. You would actually try out for yourself, which are like a hard, no like no don't bring them back. I love it when we get to have these conversations, because people get so invested about what's coming back and what's not, but if any of these trends you do want to try for yourself, i highly recommend you guys go ahead and check them out on thredup, like I said i'm going to try to link down below as many links as i can for each one of these trends, for you guys to go ahead and shop on thredup for yourself once you do add your things to cart, be sure to go ahead and use. My code haley to get an extra 30 off your first thread up order. You guys be sure to subscribe down below if you haven't already, because we're going to be doing so much fun content in this new space. But thank you guys all so much for watching. I love you forever and always, and i can't wait to see you in my next one love. You

Haley's Corner: Ok guys, real talk. Which trends are you terrified to see come back this year?? but for the ones you love, be sure to thrift them on thredUP! ✨ https://bit.ly/thredUPdec21_HALEY ✨

Erin Cejka: With the low rise jeans "coming back" i'm gonna throw in my "is it a fit or are they just skinny" card. I would say they're popular amongst those who are more petite but generally most people still aren't a fan.

Quorra Kai 🇺🇲: Ahhhh those leather jackets are amazing!! Nothing like true vintage finds, you have a cool mum in law! Have you gotten used to the warm weather January yet? I love Thredup, it's pretty much where I shop. I did get a gorgeous Banana Republic leather jacket a few months ago and I actually got to wear it a few times the past week! I love button downs, they are so versatile. Tie it at the waist with denim is my favorite look.

ezel: how i style the low rise trend is i like a high waisted baggy mens jeans but instead of adding a belt to make it fit, i sometimes like it hanging a bit on the mid-rise area. major tomboy vibes

Tiffany Langhorne: I've been doing the socks with nude slides for a while & it's so cute to me. Baggy tshirt with biker shorts & the socks with sandals!! It's so white suburban Dad & I love it haha

Purposely Pres: I’m feeling very optimistic about trends this year ! I feel like I can get on board with most of them... very excited about leather, platforms, and bold colors

Sydney Padgett: I love hailey and her style so much! And I am definitely gonna be trying a few of these!

Maddie Wood: This video feels and LOOKS so refreshing

Raquel Weinstein: I agree platforms with a square toe is coming back which is crazy cus i remember when I was in high school platforms were in style also but not boot platforms but heel platforms so this is cool seeing the slight difference of the trends that come back in style!

Lizzie G: I love the button up trend, and it can be good for the spring and winter too, if you wear maybe a white one under an oversized brown leather jacket. Love the video <3

Wake up Style: 20 years ago when I wore low rise jeans, I loved it! So I get the kids (I’m old) liking this trend! Rock that low rise while you Can is my motto!!! … loved this video!

Theaesthetics21: You're so gorgeous! Can you do an updated wardrobe essentials video cuz I'm trying to build my own versatile wardrobe for this new year. Really love you're style.

Denise Oates: Yea, I like thrifting genuine leather and it been a thang for me since I am trying to not invest in pleather products because they do not stand the test of time and will disintegrated and become trash. Pearls are always classic and have always been a staple. I had been looking for a bucket hat for a while now and just finally thrifted one that would fit my head and it reversable, one side a wool camel color and the other side tan fur. I was elated it cost me a little under $10 and it actually fit my head (don't try on hats in thrift stores). Probably no to the catsuit, I am turning 60 on January 8 and I don't think that would be a look for me and the low-rise bottoms only if I have a long enough shirt to tuck in. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

honeybdream: I love the leather & colour trends‼️ I just thrifted a cool purple leather jacket from 90s Aldo

cupcake101: You're looking fabulous, Haley! Good to see you enjoying Florida so far!!!

CoveredInCake: I wore low rise jeans all the time back in the days, because it was the only available option. It hurts on the hipbones and made my legs felling numb..but back then I had size 28" (witch isn't that skinny nowadays I guess) I would never squeeze into a pair of low rise skinny pants...but maybe baggy.

Elizabeth Dean: I love your videos and regarding low rise jeans I feel like they are only fashionable on skinny people. I’m a size 6 - which is thin - and I feel self conscious wearing low rise.

LifewithJessi: Ur so gorgeous Haley and happy new year also I hope 2022 is filled with blessings and opportunities in your life

Ravenna Reins: I used to LOVE low rise jeans and I'd always where them with a bra top, but that was a time when I was a size 0 with a super flat tummy. Now, heck no could I get away with wearing anything like that, it's a trend you have to have a certain figure for

hotgirlsplayroblox: it’s funny because i always wear socks with sandals just to be comfortable and now they’re becoming a trend

Digna Moreno: Your bedroom turned out so good. Luv it!

Raquel Weinstein: I’m so excited for all these trends

Liv Elmaleh: hey Haley, I know your probably not going to see this, but the other day me and my family went to get ice cream and I walked past you and your family in Miami Florida... I was way too scared to say hi, but when we got into the car I was freaking out! anyways I just wanted to say that with the slightest chance you see this.

Hadassah Jamison: I wear socks and sandals but never as a trend... it just means I have to go somewhere quickly and I was too lazy or comfy to take my socks off. I'm guessing it's a trend for the cozy vibes ???? I always love fringe, leather, and certain kinds of pearls. I want to try the oversized dress shirt as a layering piece or give that professional look

Sandrina Costa: so many trends I like. I really like the ballerina and the pearl ones so far. tbh im really not indo sandals and socks so i totally understand how you feel about this trend. but low rise jeans no thank you.

Diane Naval: I just watched one of your video and I love it.. after that I watched all your videos and you inspire me a lot. I really wanted to buy sneakers and shirts. I really ❤Love❤ the way you style

Life as a Flower: I love socks and HEELS. I love wearing a good platform or heel so sandals don’t really do it for me but with heels ✨

Deborah Streb: Girl, pearls never went out!! Timeless.

Nicole Gage: Low rise is never an option for me anymore! I grew up in the 90s and 2000s, and they were just so uncomfortable! always felt like your butt was showing haha. definitely not going to be joining in on that trend... ever!

Evyn Greenspan: I swear if I see someone walking with ballet flats I am literally going to scream and not in a good way no hate to my queens that like flats but I’m all about the platforms

nxssa diane: your my fashion go to such a great style, I always look forward to your videos and tips. a classy, beautiful, and genuine women overall. Love ya !

Sierra Iwaneczko: I LOVE YOUR HAT SO MUCH!!! I’m going to try to find a similar one but Mets, as I am a Mets fan

Julianne Storms: For any girl who wears her weight around her belly low waist is just a NO GO. I will forever wear high waisted pants because they simply just look better on my body shape.

Stacy Parenti: honestly i want to try the ties and like oversized flannels maby even the bra top one

Ac Schneider: I‘m from Germany and trust me, a good old German wears socks in sandals. It is a stereotyp for Germans like for forever and I can say, it has its truth in it.

Barbora Javorska: 90% of these trends I’m not gonna try, but ballerina shoes and low rise jeans are a HELL NO for me

Ainsley Joyce: hey Haley!! Video idea, rate your past clothing phases!!

imannn t: If ballet flats come back I'm running away ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️lovely videoare you going to do a house tour soon?

Meakeiah Yu: Hey haleey!! I love this videoso many aesthetic!! Aaaaahh

Liv Ramos: Omg oversize sunnies are the BEST! But lowrise and balaclavas are a noooo for me

Jasmin Guardado: I love thread up ☺️ I just bought a fringe jacket

Anne-Sophie Champagne: Low rise is a no no for me and for sure I will buy a leather jacket and more colors too .

WestCoastRoots 🌊☔: Definitely into the leather jackets! Soo cute .....but the sandles with socks......why...just why?! Lol

Chocolate milk: I am always so exited to see your videos you brighten up my days when u post it get me so exited ❤️❤️❤️

Megan Troyer: Heard the Kim possible ring and thought I got a text. Lol! It's my notification sound. Also, low rise jeans and Balaklavas are a big no from me

Raquel Weinstein: I love low rise only when they r baggy cus it doesn’t feel low rise when they r baggy cus the jeans r big and they still feel comfy

Carolina Milanesio: I loved the idea of the big shirt whit a corset, but low rise jeans aren’t for me lol ahah

Neve Harrop: I don’t think I can pull it off but I love low rise

Autumn Marie: LOVE LOVE LOVE this video thank you.

becca_beckks: Can never go back to low rise jeans. It looks good on the tall girls tho. My short legs could never

CJ Uhrig: You look beautiful! Happy New Year to you. I've been really liking leather fringe jackets

Shellyy G: Yay!! Another upload from the only YouTuber that matters Love your vids!

dawn rhoads: sometimes I want to wear my chunky sandals in winter, so the socks are needed

Lizzie G: I’m not sure if I like the low rise jeans trend or not, because I really like the way they can look but they’re really uncomfortable to wear…

ElleNotTheMagazine: The key to pull of low rise jeans is havind no fat att all around the belly area so basically another 'is this actually cute or is she just skinny' kind of trends

Veronica Sanchez-Rivera: Really helpful!!!

Veronica Sanchez-Rivera: Love this so much!!!!!

Alexa S: Florida looks good on u!! Love the fits ❤️

honeybdream: Haley I love your new setup! What’s your fav part about FL⁉️
