Hey guys welcome back to my channel, so today i'm going to be doing another silk press video on my natural hair. I did one of these videos a couple months ago and it did really really well. I honestly did not expect it to do that. Well, because i don't really do my natural hair, but it did really well, so i decided to do another one. I just wanted to show what i do now. I mean it's pretty much the same thing. I just added a couple products in a couple new products. So i'm just starting off by taking my braids down. I do have my hair braided under my wigs for around a month. That'S normally how long i keep it braided up before i wash it. So i decided to give myself a little break from the weeks before. I go back to filming wig videos, so i just wanted to show me still pressing my hair, so i'm just starting off by brushing it out so so the first thing i'm doing is i'm separating my hair into two halves because i'm going to be conditioning my Hair first um, whenever i first cut my hair off a couple years ago, i used to always put like a hair mask or a deep conditioner in my hair and let it sit for probably like up to two hours or overnight, and i found that they used To really really help my hair grow, i stopped doing it a long time ago whenever i started wearing wigs, so i've decided that i wanted to go back to doing that, because my hair was like really healthy and growing really fast, and i feel like lately my Hair hasn't been growing as fast, so i feel like i need to tend to it more put more moisture into it. So that's what i'm doing, i'm just taking the aussie three-minute miracle and my kristen s hair, mask and putting that in my hair. You guys will see the christmas mask really soon, but um i'm just doing that and i believe i let it sit for like 20 minutes. I believe i'll show how long i like to sit for, but i think it was 20 minutes. So i'm just working that through my hair, a generous amount and you guys can see that little patch in the back of my head, that i mentioned in my first video about me, giving myself an undercut and having to grow back. It'S growing back pretty well, but i just always notice that the nape of my hair just takes forever to grow. So if you guys have any tips like any on getting the nape of your hair, is it the nape, i think that's the nape to grow. Please give me tips, i know mine still like breaks off and i'm just i'm just having a hard time getting it to grow faster. So if you guys have any tips, please leave them below. I really appreciate them, foreign, so all right so disclaimer. If you do not like seeing people wash their hair in the sink in the kitchen sink, i suggest you leave my first video. I did not know how bad people thought it was for you to wash your hair in the kitchen sink. I grew up getting my hair washed in the kitchen sink. So that's just what i do i didn't know it was bad. I didn't know it was nasty. I didn't know so if you have any hate towards hair washing in the kitchen sink. Please just please don't comment on it. Please don't comment on it because i just can't, but i'm starting off with my head and shoulders um detoxifying shampoo because, like i said, my hair is always braided up for a really long time, not getting washed underneath my wigs. So i have build up on my scalp and it helps with me with dandruff as well, because i do have dandruff sometimes, but ever since i started using this, i don't have that much dandruff, but anyways um. I do wash it pretty good, get it really foamy. Um scrub, my scalp, i washed two times with this shampoo just to make sure my scalp is super, duper, clean and then i'll move on to my next um shampoo um. You guys will see that pretty soon, all right. So with this one i just washed once um, i just use this to like kind of put moisture back into my hair, because the head and shoulders head and shoulders one will make your hair feel pretty dry. So i use this one just to put some moisture back in, even though i'm going to condition my hair um just really work it through, and it also helps to define curls if i were going to wear my hair curly. But i really just love the scent of this shampoo. I'Ve heard a lot of people say that they don't like the scent of the kristen s products. Does it curse this or kristen? Is i don't know, but i love the scent and they last in your hair, like last, like smells so good, so yeah, i just washed that once before all right, so it's time to condition. Look at my hair um. Can we just talk about heat damage? Really quick, i know a lot of people. Um were talking about me having heat damage in my first silk press video, and i just want to say that whenever i said i had heat damage, i was talking about those two front strands in the front, but let me also say that, with my hair type, My hair, my curls, get looser the longer my hair gets. So when my hair was short, my curls are really tight, but the longer it gets the looser they get. So it may look like heat damage. I probably strayed my hair once every two to three months. So i promise you: if i have any heat damage, it's very minimal, i'm not really worried about heat damage. It'S just hair. I could cut it off and start over today. If i wanted to hair has never been that big of a deal to me. So if i do any damage, i really don't care about it. So i just want to say that, but i am using um. This is the fragrance free, kristen s conditioner, and it's shine enhancing i'm using that one, because i just wanted some shine in my hair and i was running low on my the one i just showed the matching one to the shampoo. That'S my favorite one because it also smells good, but they make my hair really shiny. So that's why i'm using those um. I just wanted to try the fragrance free one. It'S okay, but i do prefer the one in the orange bottle over the fragrance free one. Just so you guys know so if you guys want to try it but they're both really good. I just prefer one over the other, because i don't really like the scent of the fragrance being one it's fragrance free, but it has like a weird scent to me, but normally i like the curl enhancing bye. So i just decided to be a little funny and show you guys that i do clean the sink out whenever i wash my hair, i am putting bleach in it and i'm spraying it with a cleaner. Just so you guys know i let it sit. I came back and scrubbed it clean, so there's no nasty hair residue in the sink just to make the people that don't like hair getting washed in the sink feel better. So next i'm going to be using my john frieda frizz ease. I love this stuff. This is what really helps my hair, not frizz up um after straightening. It keeps my hair really really straight. I don't have to touch up my hair unless i get it wet or something and a piece curls up so highly recommend that this is my lifesaver. You have to put it in dripping, wet hair, because if you put it in like tile dry hair, it's going to be a little heavy, so apply a small like smaller than a pea size amount start with that, apply it to drip and wet hair, and then Towel will dry your hair, so next i am getting ready to blow dry, my hair, i'm just sectioning off small pieces, detangling it and well. No, i'm not blow drying. Yet i'm just going through and detangling my hair. So i'm just going to go through both sides and detangle. Then i'm going to blow dry, i'm not blow drying it. So all right. So this tresemme keratin smooth heat protectant. This also helps with frizz. I do spray a generous amount in each section. Each section gets a generous amount of spray that really helps with keeping my hair smooth and frizz free um i'm blow drying. Also someone, i don't remember the name someone had commented and told me when i'm blow drying to make sure that i'm following all the way to the end with the blow dryer to make sure my ends are getting straight, so i have to go over them. So many times with the flat iron, if you guys ever struggle with your ends, not getting straight with the flat iron, you have to go over there multiple times, try that that trick really worked um. I wish i could remember who told me that, but it really does help, and i really do recommend it. Do it it's a life changer. I don't have to go over my ends as much probably only once or twice at most, so yeah really try that. I'M just gon na go through and blow dry all of this and then i'll come back when it's time for me to straighten so foreign, oh, so so so all right so on to the straightening. Also i did get a new flat iron. Someone recommended that i should get a new one, so i have to do so. Many passes in my hair and i do listen to you guys, so i decided to invest in a new flat iron um. I could probably get a better one. I just got the baby: is it babyliss, battleless the titanium one um? I believe it's one inch the skinniest one well besides a little tiny one, but i'll have it linked below. If you guys want to purchase one or try it out um, it's it's good. Uh! Um, i expected it to be better. Maybe i'll try a different one, but i did expect it to be better than what it is i like it though it gets. The job done really well better than my last flat iron, but i'm just going through um. I will say on a couple strands: i do do a couple passes so if it makes you cringe, i'm sorry, but i did um just going through using the chase method to flutter my hair, and i think i only show me straightening one side. So, look at that shine. Look at the body. Look at the ends. I do need to get my ends clipped. I should probably do that. Next time i straighten my hair. I do my own trims, so i'll probably do it next time, which will be in like two months. I do have a couple split ends, but other than that i feel like i'm talking too much now, so i guess i'll be back when i'm almost done so so so wow, so do so all right. So now we're at the end um. My hair is all straightened. My forehead looks huge. This is why i don't like wearing my natural hair, because i feel like a wig. I can customize my forehead to look smaller, but it may not even look big. It may just be me, but i'm just bumping. My ends a little bit and i'm going to spray some um dry helium, this the ogx brand of my hair, to add some shine, some moisture without weighing my hair down some scent. Look how long my hair has gotten. I feel like it's gotten a lot longer since the last time i showed it. I think it was at my shoulders last time, but yeah it looks really good. I need to trim, though i kind of want to even it out. So it's all one length, but i don't want to start over just yet but yeah. Thank you guys. So much for watching um, i'm gon na have everything linked down below all the products that i use link down below, so you guys can check them out. If you guys have any questions, hair related or not anything drop them in the comment section below, i will do my best to get back to you and answer all of them. I just want to thank you guys so much for watching. Thank you guys so much for supporting me helping my channel grow, i'm on the road to 10k, i'm at 6 000 right now. We have a little bit of a way to go, but we're gon na get there but yeah. Thank you guys so much for watching. Oh and don't forget to like comment subscribe, i always forget to say that, but thank you guys. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much and i will see you guys in the next video bye guys you

TwinGodesses: Gorgeous! I think I want to cut my hair to your length! Love it ❤️

Ebby rene: I grew up washing my hair in the kitchen sink as a child! You not alone girl

Adrienne Lynne: Y’all done traumatized her got her showing that she cleans the sink. There is nothing wrong with washing ur hair in the sink

T. Herbo: Your hair looks SO even and healthy from start to finish!

samárah tyshan: i’ve washed my hair in the kitchen sink since a kid lol.. you’re not the only one.

Yvonne Gaskin: I like how you have density from roots to ends. Hope your hair care journey gets easier & easier.

Mrs. Jordan Loves: Girl forget the haters it’s your sink and they’re not coming over eating from dishes out your sink so who cares what they have to say! So many of us grew up getting our hair washed in the sink

Nikki: Strong advice: chill on the casual multiple passes with the iron. It will inarguably fry your hair to a crisp-- even if you only straighten every once in a while. To get to the point where one pass gets you to silk, you'll need to start with a more effective blow out. When you pull the Denman through a section, twist it slightly to pull the hair taught as you run it through the strands from root to tip. As you're doing that, chase the brush with the dryer nozzle relatively close to the hair that is being stretched straight by the brush. By hitting hair that is being pulled straight by the brush with direct heat from the dryer, you'll get 100% better results from your blowout and press.

Kimaria Unique: Doing all of this right now for my grad pics in a few hours! Hope it’s comes out just as nice Wish me luck everyone ! Update (same day): GIRRRLLLL YOU JUST PUT ME ON FR! MY HAIR HAS NEVEEERRRRREEE Came out this good!!!!

Cierra Frazier: I love how simple and straightforward this is! I feel like people make hair washing days so complicated and soooo long lol your hair is so beautiful ❤️

Samira Ribeiro: Podia ter legenda em português Seu cabelo é lindo

Dajia Thai: Wigs really grow your hair out, gives it a break. You’re a perfect example of this. I’m thinking about giving the wig thing a year run. We have a similar hair texture

Mini: Looks greattttt And thanks for a long “after” clip Most times people just show 2 seconds of the finished product lol

Tianna Cobb: I feel like it’s in our culture to wash our hair in the kitchen sink . As long as it’s clean you’re fine sis…I do the same thing.

Neon Lyrics: this makes me soooo happy to see someone with my same exact hair type. you did so good it looks so professional!!!

Nishaa. x: Washing your hair in the kitchen sink is not nasty whoever said that needs to have several seats. As long as you bleach the sink before and after you are 100% fine.

yamu: this was so relaxing to watch + the results were bomb

Rachel M.: You would have a bomb wash and go on your natural curly hair Also, your ends look pretty damn good for doing your own home trims! Beautiful hair

Victory Unigwe '19: You did a great job! Your hair looks great!

Linda Murinda: I reckon a lot of people don’t realise your hair texture can change with age and length. My curls are looser and my hair is less coarse the older I’ve gotten

boogieL: Real naturals should already know that ur pattern gets looser the longer it gets. Don’t let these ppl stress u and make u explain anything. Ur hair is beautiful

AfricanEmpress01: OMG It was a pleasure watching you do your hair. This is how mine comes out with a silk press. I have 4c hair and the shine, weight, free-flow, thickness is gorgeous. I really had pleasure watching you do your hair and the outcome. I give thanks to my hairdresser, my own two hands and a salon I visited in LA some decades ago. The best advice and outcome from these three things. I haven't had a silk press for over a decade now, and have not done anyone else's. I have my friends I may ask to do theirs as the results are beautiful and can save so much more than buying weaves; providing it is cared correctly. Lovely to watch, Take care Peace

Bruce Kenton: This vid was so satisfying! You’re hair and skin are so beautiful. You naturally glow and i really like your vibe. Definitely subscribed

JayDee: For the nape here is what I did. I started using peppermint oil. I add it to some jojoba oil and rub it on my scalp every few days. My nape looked like I had an undercut since ive had a relaxer. My nape is now at my collar bone. So basically bald July 2020 to collar bone May 2021.

Alecia Craine: I thought I had heat damage when my hair was growing because my curls weren’t as tight as they were before, but my hair stylist confirmed it was because of my hair growing. Like you said, the long our hair gets our curls start to stretch.

Jada Jade: We have the same exact hair type down to the nape!so happy i found this video. It looks amazing

Canal da Lany: Oiii linda, amei muito o resultado do seu cabelo ficou muito lindo, sou do Brasil ❤️

Jaleesa W: You did such a great job! It's beautiful!!!

keyla santos: Que cabelo lindo, ameei

Leah Mason: Your hair is beautiful...looks very healthy. Btw I grew up getting my hair done in the kitchen as well. After my mother got done washing it, she sat us next to the stove to get it pressed. I still use the kitchen sink to do it sometimes. So let the haters hate and do you! Peace and blessings to you and yours ❤

Tabitha C: I had a very similar issue with the back of my hair never growing. One of my previous stylists told me to try Rose Water by Mizani to keep the hair soft and moisturized (since our hair can rub against our shirt collars, scarves, etc.) and it worked wonders!! My hair is now waist length and I don’t have to do an undercut anymore since the back also grew. I’m having some breakage in the front right now (I’m a runner and wear headbands often to keep the sweat out of my eyes) and I just picked up some Mizani Rose Water to stop that breakage in it’s tracks. Give it a try, it might work for you as well.

Sierra LaFaye: The results were amazing

Dionne Araujo Araujo: Vc arrasou

G L: Girl for the undercut to grow! As soon as you are able to braid it, BRAID IT and keep it in those braids as long and as much as you can let yourself and it will grow!!! Don’t braid too tight tho we want it to protect your hair;)

Mislene Dutra: Ficou lindo

friendly lad: Hi!❤️ My grandfather’s girlfriend is a hairdresser and she told me one of THE MOST effective hair straightening tips: when you go in with the flattening iron, strike with it twice in the middle of the strand of hair, and then one long one on the entire strand. That way it doesn’t burn your hair as much.

Stacie Greene: It’s the well-kept ends for me

thedirtyplum: my hair is just like yours. I had the tightest curls when it was short...but the longer it gets the more elongated my curl pattern becomes. I don't see any heat damage. Thank you for sharing.

Fly&Thrive: Your hair is gorgeous plentiful and healthy! That’s all that matters sis and you’re beautiful with clear skin

House Of Golde: I love the care you put into your hair. Youre very inspiring

Courtney Taylor: Such beautiful hair. Great tutorial ❤️❤️

Siida aish: Uau, que cabelo lindooo❤️❤️

Shantel Nicole: Gorgeous hair! Love your silk press videos!

Nai H.: It came out so great and your hair looks so even!

The Long Way: Beautiful! So healthy with a natural shine!

Hadeel Faisal: AMAZING! You inspired me to straighten my hair on my own all love to our african hair!! and you’re so cool u dgaf bout what ppl say regarding heat damage long as u keeping it on track with the braids and protective styles

Cajun Beauty: Thanks for the video . We have the same hair type and I’ve been struggling with maintaining my press with this Texas heat. I will definitely try this! And I feel the same way girl, hair will just grow back….It ain’t that serious lol.

Wetila Rayane: Maravilhosa

Geisielle Moreira: Amei ❤

Hope Nation: Definitely one of the most interesting ways I’ve ever seen someone’s wash routine . But nonetheless, your hair looks very healthy and beautiful

Bijuh: Our natural hair curly to straight is just beautiful , I’m proud

Pamela B: Hair looks absolutely beautiful!

besassyxo: you did so good! this is inspiring!

Megan j: Your hair is beautiful! Both natural and pressed out. I would like to suggest doing a hair mask or using a deep conditioner with heat for about 20-30 mins with each wash especially since you said you have your hair in braids for long periods. It would really get moisture to penetrate deep into the cuticle

Andrea C.: Girl, don’t feel bad- My momma used the sink when I was growing up and I use it for me and my baby girl! ☺️ To each their own!

Christina Baldwin: This is the first time I saw someone else with my hair type. I’ve always struggled with my hair type because it’s weird. Like you said the longer your hair gets the loser the curls are and it looks damaged but in reality that’s it’s natural state. So happy to have came across this video.

95KyBoo: My arm could never! It looks soo good! Great job!

Julio Cezar Mendes dos Santos: Ficou lindo seu cabelo

Eve Draper: My nape was broken off for years and it finally started growing back last year. I used Jamaican black castor oil and Camille Rose Ultimate Growth Serum. When I wore my hair I would massage it at night and for protective styles I wore box braids. I stopped wearing wigs for awhile because the back of it would rub on my nape.

Blissful Martini: How long does this last for you? How does it hold up to humidity? Your results were amazing! ♥️

Nadine H: Your hair looks great! I have a question, I heard you have to wait a couple of hours after blow drying before straightening to prevent frizz but since your using anti frizz products do you flat iron right after blow drying or do you wait in between?

Bmajesty Surrell: I'm glad you made a YouTube channel; I genuinely wish you the best on this journey your taking with yourself!!keep up the good work by just being yourself/how you wanna be.

Ebby rene: Hair is so healthy & gorgeous!

Char Turner: Your natural hair is beautiful Ignore the "heat damage fanatics", with any use of heat they start the "heat damage" accusations. And.. There's nothing wrong with washing hair in the sink. Isn't "washing" what sinks are for??? Some people just don't want you to be great I used to sit deep condition under the dryer every time I washed my hair (1x a week) and my hair grew to the longest it's ever been (mid back). I don't know how we get out of the habits that work

Hey, It's Shay!: Amazing results! Thank you for the video

Raimunda Moraes campos: Eu amooo seus vídeos

She_diffferent: I have that same patch at the nape after a undercut from 2019 . When you figure out the key to growing it back please do a vid... it’s the shine for me your hair came out well after a month of braids

The Advocate: Keep the hair at the nape moisturized and seal in the moisture. Cornrow that area until it grows out to the length you want. Be sure to use satin pillow case at night to avoid any friction around your edges and nape. As a matter of fact, avoid any things that would cause friction/dryness in that area. Hope this helps.

It's Just Me: Wow! Love the results

Maddox Motivations LLC: Gorgeous! It's so healthy!

Darkwing Duck: You really take care of your hair and it shows. Its full, luscious, and very healthy. I love it.

Kynical: Your hair looks so pretty and healthy!

Jacqueline Duplantier: I have been washing my hair in the kitchen sink for 60 plus years, followed by disinfecting with bleach. Nothing wrong with that. Loved your video.

MTI Contract: Gorgeous healthy hair! Thanks for giving & taking "hair wisdom!" Ignore haters female jealousy is REAL!

Chibi Chan: Gorgeous!! I washed my hair and blow-dryed it, ima try to straighten it for work tomorrow

Monique: The shine, honey!! Dull where? Stiff where? Lol it came out so great girl. I actually prefer washing my hair in the sink. People crazy girl, don’t pay them no mind

Mo Butter: Great job! Beautiful cut!

FeedmeJUice: amazes me that ppl can take care of their hair this welll! looks so good!

Demaria Woods: Haven’t even finished watching the video but I love how realistic this video is ❤️

Blue Clipper: Beautiful! As for using the kitchen sink for washing, wash raw poultry is far worse . When my hair starts breaking at the nape, keep it oiled excessively. I add it every day before I comb or brush. Eventually it grows . All hair grows, you have to focus on stopping and preventing breakage

Eunice de oliveira Oliveira: Maravilha

Antanise Derricotte: Just tried this method and all these products and they leave your hair silky smooth!!! Side note, I washed my hair in the sink as well a flat iron suggestion would be the Solano Sleek heat. It passes the one pass test for sure.

Gaby Simonsen: Ficou muito lindo liso

Sissy R: Your hair looks amazing!!

Chelsea: Just found your video, thank you for sharing!! I also wanted to let you know I think your natural hair is absolutely gorgeous! Have a great day!

LaShonda LaShell: You do a great job with your hair care regimen. It’s beautiful

gracielida silva: Ficou muito lindo

Ronesha: This came out really nice ❤️ gonna have to give that heat protectant a try because I always seem to get frizz when I straighten. But to grow your nape out I would suggest wild growth oil or just plain Jamaican black castor oil w/ Rosemary always helps me.

Phone Open: I love the quality of your hair; it looks healthy and even breathing well. It's beautiful.

Imkwamela: This was so satisfying to watch

urmom: the back of my hair broke off due to box braids and after i stopped using heat and stopped putting it into extremely tight braids. i oiled it and constantly used hair masks and it grew faster than ever. :)

Nori Herrera: I have the same type of hair, now I know what products to use. Thank you your hair looks gorgeous.

Rhianna Turnquist: I still wash my hair in the sink!! Lol love your hair videos, very similar to how I do my hair at home.

Samara white: Many of y’all wash your hair in the shower, the "correct" place to do so and don’t clean one bit of it lol her sink is probably cleaner than your whole tub because as long as you bleach it you’re good.

ladynefertitibk: Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It's appreciated.

Takiyah Lindsey: This was great. Thanks for the tips

Mariana Souza: Até sendo desembaraçado, esse cabelo grita saúde. Que lindo! Deus abençoe

Nye Taylor: I am so glad to see your hair, because this is exactly what mine looks like when wet! New subscriber

ᄋ설티토드: I didn’t know a silk press was this simple. It looks good girl

Raeann Gomez: Your hair is soo healthy and beautiful making me want to straighten!!!
