How To Cut Bangs On Your Wig | Chiquel

Hey guys, welcome back to the Chiquel YouTube channel.

If you are ready for a change in your wig or you need to hide your lace front that is starting to fray, then watch as I teach you how to cut bangs. Please note that I am using a synthetic, lace front wig with a monofilament part. This method will not work very well if your wig does not have a monofilament top.

Hi everyone, it's amanda with shaquille and i'm here today to show you how you can cut bangs into your wigs. Now i don't know about you, but i like to try and keep my wigs for as long as i possibly can, and in order to do that, i'm just constantly finding ways to either fix or hide any imperfections that may start to pop up over time. And if you wear lace front wigs, you might find that over time the lace at the front starts to fray and get all frazzly and starts to lift and when it starts to do that, your wig suddenly starts to look really wiggy. I know that for me every time my lace front, wigs start to get all frayed, i start to get uncomfortable wearing them. So, in order to hide my fraying lace front, i cut bangs into them, so i have a wig here that has reached its life expectancy, but this wig is not going down without a fight, so you and i are going to cut bangs into it. If you can see here, all of the lace front is starting to fray all across the front and on the sides it's really bad i'll put it on. So you can see how it lifts off my face now and it's just really: it's not okay. So it's a really cute chic straight wig, but when i pull it off my face, you can't pull it off without it lifting a lot. You can see all the frayed lace here and here it's lifting really bad here. So, in order to hide that lace, we're going to need a few things, we're going to need a comb. This is going to help us section off areas of the bang. We'Re going to need some scissors you'll need some hair clips to help pull off the extra hair from your face, you're going to need a block head and because this is a synthetic wig and you cannot use dry heat on it, you're going to need a steamer. So this is just an ordinary clothing. Steamer find a place at the top of your head, where you want your bangs to start, then pull your comb forward to the corner of your eyebrow comb, your hair in front and section off the rest of your hair. With a hair clip now, you can repeat the exact same process on the other side by pulling your comb forward to the outside, of your other eyebrow, put all your hair together and comb it all forward and section off the rest of your hair with another clip. Now you can get ready to take off your wig to place it on a block head now that your wig is on your block head you're, going to want to grab your steamer and a comb to train your hair to move forward. Do this for about 15 to 20 seconds, then make sure you let it cool for about a minute, so it can set in place using your comb grab the middle section of your bangs in between your two fingers, grab your scissors and start cutting upwards on a Slight angle, this works better than cutting straight across, as it allows room for error. It also allows your bangs to look more choppy and wispy instead of blunt and straight across. Allow your bangs to hang naturally and use your scissors to help even out any imperfections use. Your comb to grab another section of the outside of your bang grab your scissors angle them upwards, but this time, when you're cutting cut on a diagonal, this is going to help bevel the bang outward and help it blend into your hair. Do this with one last section, on the outside of your bang, you can see here that the bangs go on an angle as they go outwards. You are now going to repeat the exact same thing with two more sections on the other side. Okay, i have finished so i'm gon na go and put her on and show you what she looks like now. There we go, i feel like i have a brand new wig. Now i love it. This will look really cute with the little half pony now i can pull it back, because my bangs are now covering my uh lace front that looks really cute or even a headband would look cute in this. I hope this video was helpful for you. If it was then go ahead and like and subscribe to our youtube channel, we'll see you guys later bye,
