Hi everyone it's amanda with chickwell and i'm here today to talk to you because i know exactly what it's like to first start shopping for wakes and not have a clue what you are doing, the words don't make sense to you and you are so stressed and Overwhelmed with all of the information that you just don't know what to do so, i'm here today to help you out a bit and let you know what it means when you see the words hand tied cat, so a hand-tied cap has nothing to do with the Actual hair or fibers on the wig and everything to do with the actual cap and how the hair or fibers are attached to it. So i have with me a hand-tied cap. One of the most amazing things about hand-tied caps is that they are so stretchy. They are really, in my opinion, the most comfortable cap, so with hand-tied caps, each hair or fiber is individually knotted on to almost this lace-like mesh material, i'll turn it around. So you can see this view and it might show you a bit better. So when you look at it at this view, you can see each spot where that hair has been just hand tied on and that's all over the cap. So because each hair is hand knotted onto the cap. It just allows the hair to move in whichever direction it wants to, and it just creates a much more natural look to the wig itself. Another benefit to hand-tied caps is that it allows for much easier styling. So you are able to part your wig in whichever way you want, so, whether that's at the top you're parting it or, if you're, doing a hairstyle, for example, that involves you pulling some hair up. You'Re able to part it - and it still looks like your hair - is coming out of your own head just because you're able to move it in any direction. I'Ll put this on actually for you, so that you can get a better idea of what it looks like. So here's this one on now when i was just talking about styling i'll, show you what i mean. So if i were to put my hair up in a half of half down, i would be able to put that up and you wouldn't be able to tell that it is a wig, because it looks like it's growing out of my head all the way around. The cap, if i were to do that same thing, doing half a path down with this wig, though this one is not hand tied. So i would have to be very careful with how i place my hair, because when i do that same thing, you can see the wefts in between each row of hair that is sewn on. So you have to be extra careful if it's not a hand-tied cap. When you're styling your wig one of the downfalls of hand-tied caps, is that they are not as breathable. So if you do live in a hotter climate, you might get a little bit warmer wearing a hand-tied cap as opposed to a wefted cap like this one. I currently have on wefted caps are quite a bit more breathable because they have those open spaces between each row of hair. One more thing that you need to consider with hand-tied caps. These understandably take a lot longer to make because they are hand tied and because it takes a lot longer to make. They are and can be quite a bit more expensive than a traditional wefted cap. So you would be looking at hand-tied cap. If you have the budget to do so, if it were me, i would more often than not choose a hand-tied cap. If i had the budget just because of the comfort level of them, as well as the ease of styling and the more natural look that it does give, if this video was helpful, for you, then go ahead and like it and subscribe to our youtube channel.
