Hey everybody welcome back to tessa's wing closet at wig studio, one happy 2021, everybody we're so happy to put 2020 in the rear view, mirror it's only going to get better from here today, i'm going to present my top picks for medium to long length. Wigs that came out in 2020 now remember my picks - may not necessarily be your picks, but these are the medium to long length, wigs that i have had the chance to explore - and this was not quite your average year in 2020. I know that jon renau didn't really make any new releases uh due to the pandemic and some of the safety and production issues that were encountered and then yet other brands kind of cranked out a lot of them. So i have six wigs to share with you today that are my top picks for mid to long length styles created in 2020., so we're going to start with a henry margu design. This was actually released. Fall of 2020, so barely made it into 2020.. I'M so glad that it did, and i'm so glad that i actually uh took a look at this one. I really wasn't crazy about a straight style for me personally um, but i absolutely love this, so this is henry margu's candace in the color 26 gr. I love this little style. It is it's like i explained it like it's the girl next door, it's just beautifully and simple in its elegance um, it's a straight style, but it has some soft layering that kind of breaks up the texture a little bit and it's just below the shoulder and Those layers just kind of coil and bounce there around the face - it is gorgeous. Another thing i love about this style are the lace features. This features a lace front extended and a left monofilament side part. It'S absolutely impeccable blends in seamlessly nice fine knots. They take the highlight right up to the root and that rooting is done very well. It'S a light brown root that blends in very nicely. This is just five stars all the way around for quality for style, everything about it. This is candace by henry margu, so you're all going to recognize this one. This one was a huge hit for fall 2024 noriko. This is alva in the color sugarcane r, and i do have a review out there. A full review out there on this one. If you're looking for more detail, i think this one sold out overnight um i've heard some horror stories about some long back order eta dates. So it's really easy to see why this is so popular um. It'S a beautiful just above the shoulders straight bob style, but it has a bang. Bangs are hard to nail and they absolutely nailed it here on alva. So there is a four inch bang area um, but they've taken that bang all the way back through almost to the ear tab here, and i believe that the way they've cut in that bang and sort of layered it in it's - it's beautiful, it's beautiful, it's natural! It'S wispy, it's out of the way could even be trimmed further. If needed, you can wear this up it just it's very flattering and so youthful they did an amazing job. This is a standard dereko cap too, so you're not finding any lace around a filament. It absolutely doesn't need any of those things to look completely natural, there's a lot of permatease here, but it doesn't give that big mushroomy effect see this is done. Just perfectly gives you a little bit of lift on top, but it's not too big and round. It'S perfectly tuckable, it's a sweet, sweet style, mid length, and so that has been noriko's alba in the color sugarcane art. Next up. This is a brand new release by gabor for fall 2020. This one is called trending dresses. So, first of all, let me tell you what i love about it. I think the layering is amazing. I think these this bang area here just kind of feathers back the layering all over it's beautiful long straight sleek, smooth silky movement. I think that it has wonderful potential now. I think the bang is a little bit long and i definitely if i was keeping this style. I would definitely want to go in and do a trim on the bang just to make it lay over the eye. Brow. A little easier, probably between three and a half and four inches, i think, would be my preference now. This style has a center monofilament part, but no lace front, and you really cannot deviate at all from that center. Monofilament, part or you'll expose features of the cap. On the top there's very little permatease up there to cover things up, it's a very low slim profile all over now, if i had a darker color or a rooted color, i think that it would be much better in trying to disguise some of the areas on The cap, but you can certainly move the front around any way you want. So just because there's a center part along the top, you could take all the the bang and swoop it to one side either or there's a lot. You could still do here all right. So this has been the new trending tresses by gabor in the color gl1422. So you're all going to remember this one i was over the moon for it. I couldn't contain my excitement for this one. This is raquel welch's high octane in the color shaded glazed sand, which is rl1621ss a newer color for them this year, as well, a mixture of some honeys and some ash on a light to medium root. I love the highlight they bring right up to the lace front, they kind of banded as in true raquel, welch fashion. But what about this style? The curl? That'S what really clinched it for me. Just these full deconstructed body waves body curls just been some are, are a little softer and rounder and full and then you've got some ends that are taken down. There'S a variety of curl here, it's a they call a casual beachy type wave. So i've worn it a couple of times. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary uh, just normal tangling and things, and then i can use some of my simply styling silk spray to kind of comb through some of those. But this one is super casual. But yet it is an extremely cool wig to put in into updos because of these curly tendrils left at the front. You could do a partial updo, half up half down, you could do a full messy buns at the low messy bun. It'S just absolutely gorgeous. This has some amazing features too, so you've got that full lace front and full monofilament top part it wherever you like. When it comes right out of the box, it looks like it's just left of center, which is how i typically part mine. Anyhow, the density is an average to thick density, a lot of hair here. That'S very consistent with this. Look that they're going for. Has anybody out there explored this style, i'm sure you have as it's new. How is it holding up for you? I would love to know in the comments i hope they can develop some consistency around this color. I got the flirting with fashion by raquel welch in this very same color, and it was very dark compared to this one. You couldn't even recognize them as being the same color, but this application is beautiful, a nice addition to their blonde color palette. Okay, i could sit and look at it all day, but i must move on this. One is high octane by raquel welch in rl1622ss. Next, i decided to throw this one in the mix for my top picks: it's not necessarily a new style, but it is a new color and the color really makes it new again. I think it's absolutely beautiful. This is estetica's orchid in the color iced mocha ice. Mocha is one of their new coffee collection. Colors, it has a painted, highlight technique, applied, absolutely gorgeous, it's kind of a medium brown and then the painted highlights consist of a gold blonde and an ash blonde. The curl and texture of this style just really bring out the highlight, make it really pop. Doesn'T it this orchid by estetica is extremely feminine, with its beautiful curve and contour around the face, it's around nine inches. It has some amazing features, so there's a full lace front extended and then a left, monofilament side part makes it very realistic. Looking kind of divides gently around that part frame the face, and this is just the kind of style that you look expensive when you walk out the door, people look and they say wow, you know: where did you get those highlights? How did you get those highlights? How much did it cost? It looks expensive and this technique took estetica a very long time to perfect, and i think it's exquisitely done all right, so this has been orchid by estetica in the color iced mocha, okay. Last but not least, on my top picks for medium to long length, wigs for 2020. How could i be without my curls? A girl needs her curls, i'm that kind of girl. This is the brand new disco by ellen villa in the color champagne rooted. I had a ball with this wig. When i did the review, we did a lot of comparisons to some some of the disco era. You know the late 70s, especially, and it was a lot of fun. It still is a lot of fun to wear. Now don't go out in this style and not expect anybody to remark on the hair or get some attention, because this is an attention getting kind of a style. It has a thick crown of spiral, curl all over lots and lots of volume. It'S big! It'S big and it's swingy retro inspired. I adore it. They discontinued my wiki style. That was one of my favorites, which i was very disappointed, um, but i'm so glad that they came out with this curly little style here. Is this an everyday style for me? No, probably not, but how fun is it to take her out for a spin when you feel like you're in that kind of mood that you just want some curls? It has about a five and a half inch bang area. So that's going to come down just below my cheek, it kind of divides there anywhere on the top. You can divide the hair now this is. It has a little bit of a micro or mini lace front. It'S not very long, and it's not very deep and a little bit of a monofilament crown other than that is. It is open top sides and back there's a lot of permatease. I mean it's a moderate amount of permatease, it's pr. It wasn't as much permatease as i expected. I expected there to be much more, but it really is a nice moderate amount. Now the fiber is extremely fine and soft. It just has a cloud like texture. I can just see wanting to burrow into this and take a nap, it's so soft and fluffy beautiful, beautiful wig. It really is one of my viewers had commented under the video they said taz. Are you really going to wear that? I'M like heck? Yes, i'm gon na wear it. I love it. This is me. The personality of this style is just really who i am not too polished, really casual, unique fun, love it love, it love it. So this has been disco by ellen villa in the color champagne rooted. (I’m way too old to wear it down ). The RW High Octane is too much hair and too long for me, but the soft curls, etc. are what I’m seeking. I know you have a fantastic memory so if you could suggest a couple you think might be in my parameters I would truly appreciate it.
