Hello, cupcakes how's it going it has been a while. I hope you are all well and keeping safe amid the corona virus pandemic. If today's video I've decided to do something a little bit different over the last few weeks, I have become a little bit obsessed with wigs. This all started, because our for theatrical reasons which I can't talk about quite yet but hopefully we'll be able to do soon. I need to grow my natural hair as long as I physically can over the next few months. Sadly, for me, I didn't get the good hair genes in my family, so my hair takes forever to grow, no matter what I've done with it. How well I've looked after it it just it just takes forever. It'S just the way it is, but I thought well, ok if my hair doesn't grow naturally in time. Maybe I can just wear a wig, so I started looking at weeks online as you do and I slowly kind of diverted away from the wigs. I was supposed to be looking at two weeks that I kind of wanted for myself personally. Hence the wig I am wearing right now and I started messing around with a few of the wigs I fall over the last few years and I've kind of ended up fighting myself down this weird, obsessive little wig rabbit hole now. The one thing I have discovered in all of my years of wig hunting for cosplays and non cosplays is that weak hunting can be kind of frustrating and this kind of falls into three main reasons. One. There are so many options available out there, which is absolutely amazing, but even with all the options out there, you don't always find the exact thing you want number two trying to find the right balance between quality and price is really really difficult, predominantly because you can't Actually feel or hold or try on the weak yourself when it's online and three - and this is probably the biggest frustration for me - the fact that you can never be entirely sure whether the person selling you wig is the one who manufactured the wig or whether the Wig they are, advertising is actually there to be the week you get. Thankfully, however, on my search, I have come across a couple of websites that do look like they are actually selling the wigs. They have created themselves, or at least are being honest about the week's they are selling and one of those websites is lush wigs. What drew me to lush wigs initially was the fact that not only do their wigs on website look really really nice. I will show you just a quick look for the website here: um. They also are modeled by models that they actually send the wigs to to wear. So not only is there more of a guarantee that you're actually going to be getting what you pay for, but it also adds a really nice personal touch. You can actually find the models profiles on Instagram and have a look at the ones where they're wearing it's just really really nice. Also, I really like the fact that, on the website, they do say that the models can choose to style the wigs if they want to so they might have cut the fringe, a bit shorter or the overall wig a bit shorter, or they might have put it Up in a style or use products or used, straightening, irons or curling tongs or whatever so they're actually quite honest about that, and they also say that the models do use filters on Instagram, as you will so. At least you know that they're being honest about like how the wigs look on the models that are wearing them. So with that in mind and having also found a wig on the lush wigs website that take to nearly almost all of my criteria, I have made my first purchase and on the back of that, I decided that this video today it's been a long winded way Of coming around saying it, but I've decided that this video today is going to be a review of the wig that I have bought. I should point out, by the way that I am not being sponsored by lush wigs to do this. I bought the wig with my own money. I'M just simply doing it because I want it so the wig I have chosen is called shoe, as modeled here by Abby's got wheels on Instagram and on the lush Wix website. I paid 29 pounds of 99 pence for the wig and about four pounds for shipping and it actually arrived in the post two days ago, which was less than a week after I ordered it, which, under the current circumstances, is pretty amazing. It also means that for the last couple of days, I have been very very impatient to open it, so here it is opened and ready to have a look at and review. I am NOT an expert reviewer. In fact, I have never reviewed a wig before, but I have decided that for this review I am going to give it a score out of five for each of these categories. I remember to actually like put what they are up on here, so I'm going to school the wig on the categories out of five each and then give a total score at the end, so yeah without further ado. Let'S get reviewing so excited guys, like I literally, have been so impatient the last couple of days. Oh oh, this looks nice, so this is the way in the bag which looks really nicely practiced, as you would expect. First, impressions um. The blonde looks really really nice really natural and the pink in the ends is the exact pink. I would want to dye my hair, like a nice cherry blossom, candy floss pink. I also really like the fact that they've got um like pictures of their a couple of their models inside these are like really lovely pictures of the wigs actually being used that are on the website. Um they've also included a little wig cap, which is really really nice. They'Ve also sent this with a few actually looking at it. A few little tips on the back, which is which is really cool, unlike wig, hair and styling, stuff, which you can also find on the website, which is great, but I just think that's really nice to touch so yeah. First impressions already really really good. Let'S have a look at it now, if I take it out. Oh oh, this is really pretty. Oh, this is lovely okay, so I'm having a look. Okay, so yeah, the colour is really lovely. Like really nice, almost like a roar, a bond like Sleeping Beauty, blonde, which is nice and the hairline like the sort of parting there is you can contention II, see I don't know. Um looks like skin tone sort of like matches my skin color, which is great fringe. I was worried. Actually I was gon na have to cut it um. It looks like the fringe is already probably about the links that I would want it the hair length. This really really nice. The only thing I'm wondering when I put it on is whether I want to make it a little shorter, but the obvious worry with that is the. I will lose a lot of the pink got a bit of a shine to it at the moment, but I guess that's something I can probably like deal with using light dry shampoo, but I'm just running my fingers through this like constantly because, oh my gosh, it Feels so nice, it just feels really really nice, so yeah first impressions great now, I've actually got to go. Try it on. So, let's do it guys. I think I'm in love. I can't even eight. I need a cup of tea mmm yeah! Sorry! Oh my goodness. I love it, I just love it: okay, let's try and break it down a bit before I get overexcited. I love how it looks. I love. How, like I mean, yes, is quite a not bright blonde, but it is you know it's not my natural blonde, but it is a very natural-looking blonde. It does look quite shiny, but, to be honest, I don't think it looks any shiny, oh and when I first wash my hair, the pink in the ends is so cute I'll. Try and show you the lengths a bit more. The length is actually really nice. I thought I was going to want to cut it shorter, but I don't, I think it's a really nice length. I did just run it through with a fine-tooth comb and it just the comb just slid through like so easily. I'M probably also going to thin it out a little bit because of my face shape. I suit I tend to suit more like um, you know sort of feathered, layered hair, so I'm going to like try in at least I've got some hairdressing scissors on the way. Maybe like sort of feather it around here, just so that it suits my face shape a bit better. The fringe is lovely I'm I just need to like figure out how I wan na shape it and promptly like that. But the fringe is the perfect bank and it's like a real natural sickness. It'S not overly thick, so I'm not gon na have to do anything with it which great it's yeah. I just. I really really like how this looks on how it feels, if, like I say, it feels really nice to physically touch on my head. Obviously, the straps are adjustable and I have a minor headache at the moment just from wearing that last week I wore, but at the moment it feels kind of it feels pretty company there's a little bit of an itch going on around here. I think to assess really how it feels I'd probably need to like stay in it for a while. So I think what we'll probably do, after that I've finished filming this video is keep it on for a bit sustainability like it's a um. It'S really easy to get a comb through. The only thing I haven't done is actually trying to physically style it. I think one of the things I want to do is see how it looks see that, as a look, I really like just like a little bit behind my ear, see that looks so much more natural. The next category is closeness to description, um, its spot-on. I I can't, I can't fault it. It is exactly the same as in this picture um. It is exactly the same as like described on the website. Full marks can't argue with that. It'S all good and then value for money. Like say, I paid basically 30 pounds plus shipping for this and yeah. I feel like I feel, like it's probably better quality that my pay for it I mean I'm not again, I'm not a wig expert. I'Ve never bought like a really expensive wig. I have bought cheap wigs for more money than I probably should have paid for them, and it shows this is all just first impressions, so I kind of need to see how how it will do in the long run, but for now um yeah. I think I've paid, you know a sensible amount for this wig. In fact, I could I'd have happily paid it more because I think it's so nice. So that concludes all the categories. Let get some scoring so first impressions. I was obviously really blown away from the beginning, so I'm gon na give that the full five, how it looks, I'm gon na give a 4.5, because as much as I think it looks amazing, there are some alterations that I do want to make to it. How it feels um, it is pretty title at moment. I know I can adjust that, but it feels physically lovely to wear, and so I'm probably gon na give it up for you only because, like wigs tend to feel a bit uncomfortable anyway. After a while - and I do have a little bit of an itch here - so I'm gon na give that a four style ability. Obviously I don't really know yet, but from the like many experiments, I've been doing I'd, probably say it's a good solid for closeness to description picture. As I say, full marks five out of five, no question: value-for-money, bang five out of five: it really is a wonderful wig, I'm absolutely loving it and I think I paid a really good price for it. So if my maths is correct, this wig scores an excellent 27 point, five out of thirty, which i think is pretty damn good. Considering it's the first wig I have bought from lush wigs and it is a certain indicator that I will definitely be buying from them. Again so there you have it.
