I Tried Out Fake Ponytails & Wigs | Lullabellz First Impressions & Review

If you can hear noise in the background, i'm so sorry it's easter weekend, everyone seems to be [, __ ] out in the [ __ ] garden, whatever garden i barely have living in a flat and wanting to be real loud suck. That'S great! So i'm really so if you can hear that in the background hopefully i'll put some background music over it and i'll muffle it a little bit soon, though, i am getting a whole new setup, so a whole new camera a whole new um microphone. I actually don't have a microphone right now, so, as you can tell in some of my videos, the sound is not great, so don't worry, i'm getting a microphone soon and a new camera and all of that fun stuff. So the quality is about to jump up. You know the quality is about to be chef's kiss all right. Why is people banging and clanging and [ __ ] and playing shut up yeah we're supposed to be on lockdown right we're not supposed to be having a great time outside yeah get in the house and be quiet today we are doing something very, very fun. So you know me, i, like a little wig moment. I, like a little ponytail moment. I like a little bit of fake hair here and there i've actually never had like extensions or anything like that, but a little clipping a little clipping pony a little wig. I'M very much a fan of so i have wanted to try this brand for the longest time. I see so many instagram girls out here wearing their ponytails wearing their wigs and it is lula bells, so they do, i'm pretty sure they do extensions. Like human hair extensions and also synthetic insert extensions, wigs that are um like synthetic lace, fronts and ponytails clip in ponytails, i've had my eye on some of their stuff for quite a while now so i put on my story and said: okay guys, do you want To see me do a video on trying out lulabelles, and you all said yes, please and then turns out a girl that i used to go to university with she works for lulabelle's now. So she got her boss to contact me and actually sent me these ponytails and wig for free. So thank you so much lula bells, obviously guys you know you're gon na always gon na. Why can't i speak? I can't do this anymore. Obviously, you're always gon na get my 100 honest opinion. If i don't like it, i don't like it now. I have had some like comments in my dm's already saying that they didn't like lula bells when they tried it, but i'm not always giving my first impressions what i think honestly. I have one clipping ponytail already and that's from the market in manchester. So you know me: i'm a thrifty queen. I think these ponytails are about 25 quid 25 to 30 quid. The wigs are more on the like expensive side, i guess like 50 pound, but for a synthetic wig that is not um expensive. Really i have a one synthetic wig from amazon which cost like 35 pounds, but that is the trashes of trash quality, but it still looks cute. It'S a little moment. It'S a little bit of fun. That'S the way. I see it. So i'm already very pleased by the packaging. So let me just show you: it came in a big bag, and so this is the wig, so it says lulabelle's on the front: it's all embroidered, it's a lovely little pouch, the back. It says you're going to look amazing. I love the packaging but we'll get into the wig after we're going to do ponytails. First, that's why i'm looking a bit bold, headed right now, because we're about to clip it on. First of all, this is the wig, the wig. This is the ponytail that i've been seeing so many instagram girls wearing all right - and this is the like - 90s little flicky ponytail. So it's about this long and it flicks out. So it's a bit of a 90s moment. This is how it comes so all wrapped up all cute. We have some images of girls on the back, looking all cute and for the color matching they do have a color chart on their website. So i just went on there and i tried to pick the color that i thought was closest to my own hair color. With these, like um hair pieces, you don't have to get it exactly spot on, because you're actually not going to see your real hair at all. All you're, going to see from your real hair is your roots. So do with that, what you will i've picked harvest brown. I think it's called golden brown golden brown is the one that i picked, because i thought that was the closest to my hair color and i think i've done a pretty good job. Let me just get it out, so this is the color. It just comes in this like little fishnet thing like little lunch lady moments, so this was the color i picked see. I don't think i got the right color. It look like the right color on the website, but i don't think it is but wow. This is definitely not the right. Color. Hmm, okay. I thought this. I thought this was my column, but i know me it is. This is more of like a auburn. Don'T you think more, like a if you see my hair, it's a darker brown than this. This is more like auburn, but i'm gon na make it work. We'Re gon na see what she can do. If you really want to get an exact color match, they do sell a color chart. So it's like a little ring with all the hair samples on it. So you can get that and try magic to your hair, but i do think that costs about 10 pound. So if you want to go that route and make sure it's exact, you can do that as well. I just didn't because i'm stupid i, this is not my hair color. They think my hair colour babe. So i'm a bit worried it's not going to look bad. It'S just definitely not the colour of mad. Do you know what i mean, so it has instructions on the little cardboard packaging. It says: here's some helpful tips on how to put in your hair extensions. Oh no wait! That'S about extensions and we got a ponytail girl. There'S no instructions of how to put it on on here, but luckily i'm a seasoned pro. So i'm going to help you out. I'Ve actually never had a ponytail like this, so it has a bit of hair that wraps around your own like the bit. So it looks like it's coming from your head with my ponytail from the market: it basically it just clips in, and it has like a toggle like an elastic toggle, that you tighten yeah golden brown. That was a mistake emma oh, i just really thought it looked like my hair color, but it didn't okay. So it's a little bit all over the place right now, like the hair's going everywhere, so i'm just gon na brush it. It'S very, very soft. There is shedding quite a bit of shedding, but that's what you get with all synthetic hair, pretty much it sheds quite a bit, so i'm just gon na you know get all the hair off it wow this is shedding. Okay, can you see this? I'M just gon na fluff that into a ball we love a cute little hair ball. So this is what it looks like on this side. So i'm gon na pop this on my head and hope for the best. So there's no clips. Basically, oh there's no clip, so you just like go like shove. It in basically and then tie this around it and basically velcro it together. So good luck to me kind of scared so hold on. Do i need to have my hair in a ponytail? Let me go on on on the youtube: okay: oh there we go how to apply and style clip in a ponytail, separate the hair and twist into a right done that oh, this is oh no! This is a different one. This is a different one. This is a different one. I'M getting warm, i'm getting stressed out. Do it don't hate me cause i'm beautiful, all right, i'm not being funny, but i don't get it. I'M gon na have to look on the website. Back to my knees are [ __, ], sweating mate, i'm stressed to apply, tie your hair into a tight pony at the desired height you'd, like your new pony, to sit attach our headpiece by gripping it onto your bobble with the built-in comb. This can then be securely fitted by wrapping the velcro hair around your pony to ensure a seamless application. What, if your eyes longer than the ponytail, though we're gon na, have to give it a go here: lance, okay, okay, okay, so this my hair is actually in a ponytail, my hair's going [ __ ] frizzy, because i'm, oh god, i forgot this - had all that Hair in there okay, so this is my hair i just washed it today see my hair is longer than this look and they're, not the same color. I really thought this was the same color. Am i [ __ ] stupid? Does it need to be higher? Oh right am i doing it, i'm getting pissed off already and i've not even really started yet. This is like the amount of patience i have for anything like this. Please be quiet. I'M baffled, i'm not gon na lie. I'M a little bit baffled. I'M really warm really warm. I don't get it why? Why is there no how-to's on their website all right? Do i need a higher ponytail, because that's going to stress me out right so she says: let me look at it again. Tie your hair into a tight pony at the desired height. You, like your new pony, attach the hairpiece by gripping it under your bobble right. I think i need a higher [ __ ] ponytail. Oh, this is [ __, ] stressful. Let'S try it again! Sorry pearla! There'S hair in my eyes, it's hair in my eye, get it away: crikey, that's literally the same height. It was before, but all right, i'm getting sweaty and pissed off. But i'll do don't hate me cause i'm beautiful, i'm so hot put it under your bottle. Cool right we've done that now it's this bit, i'm struggling with it's the wrap around so you're telling me right. Okay, i'll just wrap this around. It'S not working. It'S not it's not working! It'S not working! It'S not working! I'M not thick! I just don't! I don't get it, i'm not thick all right. Let me try again, i just don't think i get it, but i can see my hair under it. I need help i like, and how do people do this on their own? Is this it did. I do it. I don't think i did it because it doesn't look right. Oh okay, why is it taking me about 20 [, __ ] minutes to just figure out a ponytail, my one from the market? I just literally put on right. So i'm supposed to do this with it. How'S that supposed to sit - because i don't i don't own bobby pins, so i don't know i'm gon na make this work bobby, pin what's that who's that i'm not being funny, but i just need to give up on this one for a while, because it's it's Making me upset right. Let me just go on to this one, because i hope it's different than the other one. So this one, i think it's like a hollywood wave, ow ow. No, it's the same thing. It'S the same thing: it's the same thing where it could be zippy, zippies ruff. I don't know how to [ __ ] use it. Let me get on youtube because i can't be the only one: that's having hi everyone and welcome back. I don't have any bobby pins we're in lock down low. Do i look like the kind of girl that has bobby pins? I i can barely turn the air in a [ __ ] bubble, i'm back. It'S been a few weeks. I'M not gon na lie, as you can see from the other clips i got a bit. I got a bit uh frustrated with what's going on, so i'm back with bobby pins and i've had a few goes on the ponytails and i think i've mastered it, but i've not doing it in a week or so so this could be awful all over again. Let'S find out i'm on my new camera today. Oh, this is a jumping quality. That is why, let's get back on into it, i'm going to start with the with the wavy one again, and i'm going to show you and now because i've had them for a couple weeks. I can give you like a real, authentic review of like having them for a few weeks on what i think this is a ponytail i've wore a few times. It definitely doesn't look as soft or slick as it did the first day we had it. It'S definitely a bit frizzier yeah after the first couple wears the [ __ ] got naughty like real naughty, but i feel like it's the same with awesome daycare, but it felt so soft in the beginning. I know it's gone a bit naughty, but i think a way you can combat that is get a synthetic wig spray that helps you like comb out, the kinks or i've even heard fabric conditioner in water in a spray bottle and spray that on the hair, let's Put it on i'm going to do a sped up bit for this, because i feel like this video is really long already. What you're going to want to do is grip it right above your bubble. Now you need to make sure you're holding both the velcro ends and make sure you fold them. Look at my double chin fold them all the way under whilst you're wrapping. It doesn't make sense right now, but it will i promise so when you pull it under grab that with a bit of the velcro and make sure the velcros meet like this. Did you get me boom now wrap again, it's a miracle. So there we go. I mean i'm sure i could have done a better attempt, but this is it. Let me zoom you out. Oh boy, it's long, it's very long from the top of my head. It'S like hitting all the way past the titties like this would fully cover areola. Do you know what i mean like i said before? If it was my hair color, it would be gorgeous it's catching on my necklace it'd be stunning, my actual hair, it kind of gets. Well, you can see it right here. I don't know if you can really see the coloring properly, but if your hair was the same color as this you'll see it all well, to be honest, you don't even really see my natural hair because you've wrapped it round it kind of masks it. So i could definitely go outside with this and get away with it. It'S definitely like when you look at my roots and you look at the pencil they're different colors. It is what it is. What i will say is they're heavy. I don't know if i could wear this for a full night, because it is heavy i feel, like you, just need to put it on in the right way, so that you know it doesn't hit on your skull too much like on your scalp. It can really be quite painful with where the clip is so you need to be careful of that, but this is what this looks like. It does look amazing i've taken pictures and i'll pop them up on the screen yeah for what it is. Definitely not bad and it's definitely a look. We got there in the end, applying it now, i'm going to put the other one on just to show you what it looks like. What i will say is if the velcro gets stuck on your natural hair. It hurts because it's like ripping it out, babe this hair. It does shed everywhere like if you brush it out a lot of hair comes out. That is one thing that i didn't really expect, but it is very full like for synthetic hair, so i guess it's kind of a given. This is still very soft because i've not really used it, whereas the other one i've put on a good few times. You can heavily see the color difference on this one, but i love this style like because it's so full and thick like, and i have very thin hair naturally so having something that's like so full and thick is like. I feel like a princess. This is what it looks like. As you can see, my natural hair is kind of just blending on into it yeah it's kind of lost in the middle, so this one is like hitting more here again, it's like the flicky out style, yeah man. I think it's cute, i like it. I don't know if this one will get as knotty as the other one, because it's a more straight style, it probably will they're not made to last forever. This one does feel less heavy, though than that one obviously, because that is a lot more hair. I could probably wear this on a night out, happily enough, okay and then now we have the wig, so it's lace front we're going to need to cut the lace. Put it on all of that stuff, so hopefully it looks cute you see like how quickly they just get like all knotted up, but when you brush it, you end up with like a trail of hair everywhere, but it's just coming out of it. Like do. You know what i mean and that i find that very annoying. The wig, like i said i love the packaging inside of here. We have the wig right here we have a wig cap and we also have this lovely little. How to apply your wig life is short, make every hair flick fabulous. It basically has a how to apply the wigs. It says: prep, your hair, the flatter your hair is against your head. The better the wig will look, you can braid or pin your hair back. Tie into a little pony and wrap around into a flat bone or mold it against your head using gel and securing with hair grips. A wig cap can be also used to help keep your hair neat and in place now. Usually, what i do, i'm not very good at break up like braiding, my hair and obviously i can't braid from the root. Usually i just shove it all into a wig cap and hope for the best i feel like low bun doesn't work, though, because it ends up clunky at the back of your head. So i'm just going to really shove it all into our wig cap, because it's straight it's and i have thin hair. Anyway, it's not going to be that much so i'll shove it on a wig cap. Then we can put the wig on. Basically, a wig cap is just like a stocking. So oh there's two on here: three, no two! You got two wig caps. It'S basically like a tight for your head. Before i put it on. Let me show you: the wig comes in like a slow, fishnet lunch. Lady realness yet again and there's some tissue paper in there. Okay, so we've basically got like a long. It'S like a lob like a long bob blonde with a dark root, the hair closer. That'S the root, the lace, i would say it's kind of a brownie color, but we can fix that just a frontal, so it has clips in the back. It has the adjuster straps, but it's just the lace front. It goes back to about here. So it's not that bad and plus it's short anyway, so you wouldn't really be tying this up. Anyway. I'Ve had a couple wigs before just for fun, so i'm no by no means a wig expert, but i have friends that wear wigs and i've watched them many times put wigs on. So let's take some of their wisdom today. Honestly, there's no tactic for this. I literally put it on my head and shoved my hair inside it. It'S not beautiful. I look like mr burns, but you know we get on with it. Life goes on, but if you were gon na actually do this and wear it out. You should probably braid your hair or just have it sit in close to your head. Do i mean like that is what's going to make the wig look natural when it sits close to your head? I have a [ __ ] massive head to put on the wig, just literally tip your head under, go like that, and just put it on okay, oh, this is very stretchy. This is a good stretch. Okay, this is how yeah this is very, very full. We need to straighten this out a little bit. I look like someone's mom. We need to cut this lace off. The hair is very thick and full. I'M just going to cut the lace directly at the hairline. I'M going to do that right now, i'm not going to be doing like a customization to this today, like i'm not going to be plucking the hairline or anything like that today. This is literally just to put it on and show you if you were to get a wig like this, like a synthetic wig, you would want to customize it at home. What i mean by that is, pluck the hairline, so it looks more natural, maybe put some concealer in the hairline, so it would look like your scalp um. You probably want to get rid of some of the density. So maybe if you have a thinning tool like i have like a wig box here, something like this - it's basically like hair thinners, so it has a blade in it and you got out through the hair and just gets rid of some of the hair. So it feels more natural, it's not as thick and dense. So you'd want to do some stuff like that, but there's loads of videos on youtube about customizing. Wigs, don't be scared to cut the lace or even cut some of the hair like there we go. I really like how stretchy it is like when i put it on my big fat melon head like it feels nice. I feel crazy with all this hair, because it's just so thick, it's really getting in my [ __ ] grill mate. When it comes to synthetic hair, you should not use too much heat because, like at the end today, it's kind of plastic and you don't want to melt it off your head, so you can use heat just not too high and not too much. I'M just literally going to use heat to iron out like the kinks in the hair just from when it's been in the bag and that's straightened out really easily so i'm gon na go through and straighten this out. You could put a bit of dry shampoo through this to make it look less shiny, so there's lots of things you can do to like a synthetic wig like i said like right now. This is the ends. I think i'm gon na cut it. So it's dead blunt. What masters is it looks better now i don't know, even though i mean i'm no top pro hairdresser emma, i feel like a robot like i feel like a robot. Would have this hairstyle right. I'M going to straighten the other side, then i'll show you what it looks like in the end. I'Ve done a little bit to it like i've cut some of it. I'Ve like tried to thin some of it straightened it we've done a bit. Definitely a lot more. Could be done, but it doesn't look horrendous. I do actually quite like it um. Obviously, it's very like whoa, very soft and easy to comb through right now, but trust me as the weeks go on it'll get harder and harder to comb, which is where something like this comes in handy. A lot definitely need to debulk it still a bit. There'S a lot of volume, it feels just very big, i think as well. I wouldn't need to have my hair properly like flat to my head underneath, but i do quite like it especially now. I'Ve like made it into a blunt cut, but what i'm going to say is never getting synthetic wig out of the packet and put it on your head and walk out the door. Don'T do it to yourself babe. They need some preening to look like cute, like people can wear something wigs and look very [, __ ] cute, don't feel like you need to wear a human wig, especially if it's just for fun, it's a bit of fun in it. I definitely would wear this out once i've like customized it a bit more. I would definitely wear it out because of the way the roots are. It does look quite natural now, i'm looking at myself in the viewfinder and it's looking kind of cute. I might get on my computer to edit and look realize i like an idiot, but it is what it is final thoughts on lula bells. I like them. I do like them, i would definitely buy from them again with any kind of synthetic hair, you're always going to have tangle in you're, always going to have it shed in you're always going to have it not looking too natural, especially with wigs. It'S what you do with that, the ponytails. I do really like be aware, if you're getting a really long one, they are heavy because they're thick, it might be too much for your scalp, i'm not head sore, but it was like heavy for me and i don't know if i could wear it like all Night, so you might want to start with like a shorter one or just one. That'S not as bulky also when it comes to colors. I don't really know what to say and how to make sure you're getting the right. Color just definitely think it through before you buy one because, like i said, my color is not the right: it's not the right shade for my head. They do have a pretty good color chart, but obviously i wasn't paying attention that well, i would recommend them. I would because, like for synthetic hair like clipping ponytails and stuff, like that, you're not really going to be wearing it every single day, i feel like they will have like a night out kind of piece or like if you want to feel fancy fancy in the Daytime try out the fabric, conditioner method or have a look on google and see any kind of things that help to detangle synthetic wigs. I like it. We got that in the end, this video was lengthy. This video was a journey definitely from the beginning, because i just wasn't having a good time was uh.
