Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi beautiful today we're watching people get korean digital perms and if you have no idea what that is, i don't blame you, because neither do i i mean. I have an idea. I know what it looks like. I know it's very interesting also. I have no idea how it works. I don't know what this whole contraption is that they put on people's heads. The entire thing is mind-blowing you're gon na be like why and why are we doing it? But that also makes me very intrigued. I am very open to learning new techniques. I actually love learning new techniques. So let's do it shall we, by the way i just launched a jewelry collection with vitali, i'm obsessed. Obviously i created it. All of these pieces come in silver and gold, i'm so excited um to have been able to create something for you guys to wear. You know i'm obsessed with jewelry. I always have chains on and i always wanted to create a pearl necklace that had half chains on it with a little pendant x. Like it's such a dream, i can't wait to see you guys wearing it. So if you would like to check out the collection, it's linked right here, first video up is by ryza katawi and um. We'Re gon na check it out she's, getting a digital perm, whew. First up shampoo, okay, the usual process for a perm. Oh, this salon is not kidding with the ppe we're doing layers right yeah. It looks like too heavy and like very hard to maintain us no volume, we're already getting weird here. There'S things i already don't know so she's getting a root perm, which i'm pretty sure it is a way of giving her like volume at the top of her head. I mean that's what it looks like, so i'm gon na go with that. This is art man. This is seriously art. What is this digital is so recently reusing the like a little bit length. Why is it called digital using heat or something so destructive like this, so she's saying that a digital perm just means that you're using heat through the perm rods, to make a process faster, as well as like the digital aspect, comes from there being a digital screen On that heat, thingy bobber machine thing, this thing looks like it's about to perform surgery. On her i mean she literally looks like she's in a surgical office about to get something done and there's about to be machine. Working on her like this is scary. I'M interested though oh hell, no we're gon na, have to make this contraption look a little bit. Cuter you're telling me strangers. They just walk in and they're like. I want a digital apartment, you put them in this chamber, you put them in this torture device. I mean you, do you whatever gets you that money girl but like this is scary? Okay, we're neutralizing. This is artistry, though i will say this is beautifully done. The wrapping on this is impeccable. She has two people working on her at one time i mean it's beautiful, i mean she's, getting the little root bump going on and then she's getting the curls in the ends. I feel like it's gon na, be a really great result and i'm excited to see how well the digital perm like curls the hair. Is it like tight curls? Is it loose? Is it somewhere in between? I don't know wow. This looks mad uncomfortable, oh whoa, those curls look beautiful. I love a good perm when you take those rods out and you have an actual like spiral. Curl you're, like look at the volume on her roots too. It'S looking delicious. Okay, now we're drying the hair with something else. That'S digital, so we'll leave this on for 15 minutes, apparently like in order to blow dry this, you literally just twist the hair as you blow dry, and it gives you like gorgeous curls, slash waves. You really don't don't have to do anything to your hair. That'S amazing! Oh my god. Look at my hair yeah. It looks so beautiful if you want to sound, bigger or something you can just twist out like that. Do you see the volume she has? She did not even get a blowout guys, she got a rough dry and her hair looks this good. This is crazy. This is today's post treatment knocking perm. Oh it looks wonderful, oh guys, look at the gorgeous body on her hair wow. Okay. What is that? What is that a torch? Is this something that you recommend or worth it? In my opinion, if you're looking for volume for structure for effortless hair, but again 100, yes, i am obsessed. Are you kidding me that looks like her natural hair texture and i am living for it like absolutely to die for gorgeous fabulous? That was beautiful, except i still really want to know more about what a digital perm is. Let'S go to the next video and hopefully that helps us next up. We have mr gai tang. What'S up guy how you doing amy, i think she has some type of color in her hair, so this is gon na be a paranormal creativity situation. So there are different rods here, there's like some bigger some smaller different sizes, as you can see here, and the bigger one kind of has this little. What do you call this like usb type of attachment? So you can stick it inside of the the tentacles okay, that looks like an auxiliary jack, not a usb. Nevertheless, it's weird very intriguing. Indeed, i mean i want to put that on my head. I want to get the waves. I want these things on my head and i want to get the waves, because this looks weird and i like weird things, so you guys can kind of attach it into that into the tentacles. And then you get your digital purpose set. So i'm excited to see how this works and i can't wait to share with you guys. Okay, this machine looks a lot more aesthetically pleasing. I will say right now: we're pre-treating the hair with the ats amino matrix. It'S a pre-treatment to even out the porosity, and this is a crucial step to maintain the integrity of the hair, because her ends are very porous um. If you take a look at her ends here, the porosity are very, very dry, so the pre-treatment stage is a must. My favorite thing about being a stylist is like it's the only place where you can just tell somebody that their hair is just destroyed. You'Re, like your ends, they're dry, they're, crusty, they're, gon na fall off. They look terrible and like the client, doesn't care they're like okay, yeah, you're right cut it all off. I'M like hi girl. I got you and she's gon na go back in and apply the stronger formula up there, which i think is really really smart. Okay, so you can literally like mix these formulas. You can use this stronger formula on the roots and the lighter formula on the ends that way your hair's integrity stays intact during this whole process and guys, if you're gon na do a perm. Please be careful because it is very harsh to your hair. Pretty much. No matter what type of perm you do, it's very harsh i should say, because it is literally snapping the bonds of your hair and reforming them into a different shape. It can really destroy your hair and that's why we don't recommend doing it with people who have like bleached, hair or compromised hair in general. So, okay, we're going in and we're doing the most satisfying part of all we're rolling that up. Oh and they're doing it to her root, so she's gon na get a lot of bounce in her hair, she's gon na get that curl the bounce, the goodness also a different thing with these perms, is like all of these crisscrosses, normally like with a regular perm. You wouldn't want to crisscross stuff that much you'll end up with like lines in the hair. I don't know how they stop it. From doing that, i mean she might just end up with lines in her hair. I don't know it's important that all of the jack is on one side, so when you plug it into the digital per machine, you can actually put and plug it in all here. So it doesn't get all tangled up something about having electricity connected to your wet hair running through rods feels a little dangerous for me, maybe not for you, but for me i don't know it feels a little scary. It'S a little like i don't know so. You'Re dragging it lower so she'll be a little bit straighter at the top and most of the curl be at the bottom. So if you want the curl to be higher in different areas, you can move the curl higher up here. Take a look at the finish product. Take a look at the rubber band here most you guys will be freaking out right now. Thinking the rubber band will create a crease, yes and the perm of the curl, but it actually doesn't it's only the revolution of the curl. That'S wrapped inside of this clay rod is where you're gon na see the curl texas place. That'S pretty cool, so the girls are putting these heat protectant pads on and what they do here. It creates a steam incubation inside of each rod which protects the hair. I know i know what you guys are thinking. This seems to be like a lot of work. Literally though i thought they were done we're on to like step 15. - oh my god. This is a lot, the best part when they connect all the aux cords to her head and it just starts playing music she's like her head starts shaking because the music's so loud. This is spooky man, i'm gon na. Do it guys i'm gon na push the button? Oh she's gon na blow up just kidding. This is a smaller rod than the topper area, so we're gon na take these out, make it a little bit loose and blend in with the others? Okay, because you don't want them to be tight at the bottom, oh it's time to take them out. My favorite part, the most satisfying part of all. So we want those to be softer right down on the ends whoa, when you pull out from the rod, it always looks scary tight, but what you'll realize is it's going to look more natural after it loosens up? I wonder why that is because, like with regular perms, it usually stays how it looks. We just neutralized it and did a treatment on it. That is so pretty and you can see the natural curl her hair was damp here. So it looks really really pretty wow and, like i said earlier, it's kind of healthier now than it was before it does. It looks better. I was gon na say that what what is the sorcery? You can't believe it huh look at this. Look at that. Look at that texture, wow! That'S sick! Look at that natural curl! That'S a natural curl texture, it's digital perm, but it looks natural. It is so pretty. I'M obsessed what i want that. I want everything, but i can't have everything that is incredible. I literally want a digital perm immediately makes my hair's too short and too damaged to do that. So i can't, unfortunately, shall we watch one more. Let'S just do it right. This video is by tina young. Look how healthy it is. She'S, never colored her hair. So this is a hairdresser's dream. It seems like everybody's kind of getting different versions of this perm, so it's really cool to see all the different variations and ways you can get a digital perm like if i were y'all out there, i'd be going digital. The perm cream, also known as the perm softener, is applied about two inches away from her roots. This helps to maintain her natural root volume and doesn't make the hair too flat, basically breaks up the bonds in the hair so that it can be molded into another shape. If you go in to straighten your hair or to have your hair rebonded, it's pretty much. The same thing, this solution helps to break up those natural bonds in your hair first, so that, if you want your hair straight or curly, it can be molded into those shapes zen's hair is then wrapped up and left for five minutes. Jameson comes to check on how the hair is processing. He does another knot test this time. He wants to see if the hair stays in a knot, because that means the hair perm softener is working. He also does a bend test to see if the hair stays bent after folding it. These are little tests. He does along the way, just to make sure the hair is processing and in the right condition before we move on to the next step, so we're breaking the bonds, but the hair is laid down straight. This whole thing is very confusing because everybody's doing it differently, he said that we probably needed to wait another five minutes, but to speed things up, he's going to use this heat machine. It kind of reminded me of when you know when you have super bleached hair and it becomes like this stringy stretchy texture when it's wet. It reminded me of that. Oh my god. I don't like that at all. That would freak me out. I'M sorry, literally, the porosity of her hair is just completely up and on purpose but um. Nevertheless, you see the guy stretching her hair out and how stretchy it was scary. We'Re going to apply another layer of the perm cream just to ensure that it's in the right condition before we apply the next step. This is spooky bingo. We are good to go. The perm cream is thoroughly washed off. This is the most odd per moment. I'Ve ever seen we are washing this off. Wouldn'T this make her hair straight, i'm so lost and her hair is blow-dried eyes once the hair is completely dry. Jameson is going in with a straightener just to smooth out the top section, as i mentioned before, zen has a natural wave at the top, so to make the perm look neater he's going to straighten out those parts. Okay, so he's basically giving her like a permanent straightening treatment in combination with a perm, okay, artsy again, you can do this thing so many ways. It seems like there's two sizes here, some medium ones and a slightly larger roller. It'S going to start off with the back sectioning some hair and then wetting the ends with a hair, protectant spray. Then jameson sandwiches, the hair between two pieces of perm paper, and he neatly rolls the hair up. He stops about midway or just a little bit higher than midway yo. This guy's got the hands of a god. This piece goes over the roller to prevent any indentations, and then the hair is secured with a rubber band. He makes it look so easy you guys. It'S not that easy and the comb, oh, that is satisfying. I will say i love these little hair, blankets. It'S my favorite part. You just got ta like tuck the hair in like now we're ready to plug the rollers into this machine. This just helps to heat up each roller to about 85 degrees celsius. I feel like i'll, never get used to how scary this machine is. After that, the rollers are ready to come out. Look at those sexy, curls jameson is going in with the straightener now just to smooth out the top section. So there's no weed bumps anywhere we're almost done with the process, we're neutralizing and we're about to see the final result. Oh i'm so stoked. Next, a foam perm neutralizer is used on the ends. It does the same thing, but this is a lighter version, so it's going to hold the curl. Still, it's not going to add too much weight that the curls straighten out. She needs to dry the roots of her hair completely before moving on to the mid section and ends for those sections. She has two options: she can either twist them and then let them air dry naturally or she can twist and blow dry as she goes. The way this guy's just whipping that hair around, like it's impressive, i'm intimidated, and i want him to do my hair. Well, the fringe jameson also shared a few two then to the left then to the right and then let it cool over the face or hit it with some cool air to quickly cool it down then blow back the hair and that's going to create volume. You'Re telling me this is just a rough dry. Finally, some hair serum is applied to smooth and add shine and ta-da what i'm actually amazed as to how easy it was to style her hair. That was without a round brush like he used just his hands to do that. What zen's hair looks amazing and it's still very soft and healthy to touch it doesn't feel dry or overly processed. Oh, my god, it looks stunning, oh my god. Well, if that didn't leave you wanting a um korean perm, i don't know what will i mean like that? Was the coolest thing ever if you have the hair for it, you better get on that that was. I just saw my life flash before my eyes. I thought i was gon na die. I almost just fell off my chair anyways. That was super cool obsessed. I want to learn how to do this better. That was everything i could have asked for. If you guys like check out the jewelry that i have on right now, it is part of my vitelli collection that i designed and i'm very excited about it so check it out linked below. Also follow me everywhere else here on my social media handles including x, mondo and x, model color, my hair, color and hair care brands, they're also linked below for you, if you'd like to check them out. That is all for today guys. Thank you so much for watching, don't forget to live your extra life and i'll see you next time. Bye, beautiful! You

Rachele Lewis: I just want a day of Brad doing my hair with all his products and telling me how beautiful I am is that really too much to ask

Amber Williamson: I worked for a Korean woman that owned a salon (which I later managed). There was a Korean woman that was my aged that worked there as well. I learned SO MUCH. The education and training they receive in Korea is FAAARRR more advanced than anything we receive in the U.S. I was fortunate enough to learn some of the techniques from the other Korean stylist. She had the digital machine like the one in Guy Tangs video and the last one you showed. I assisted with a lot of the perms she performed on her Asian clientele. It was very involved. Again, I was fortunate to have those opportunities to learn more advanced techniques. It is very involved. There is a lot to learn. Asian hair is some of the most difficult hair to work with. I could go on and on about what we did, different techniques, products, clients, their hair, what most desire for their hair….SO MUCH! It’s incredible. I cannot express how much I appreciate their culture and how incredibly grateful I am that I was given the trust to learn what I did.

Candice Rose: That’s like the perm everyone wants but all stylists say cannot be achieved. Love!!

Nikki Cooper: I've always hated my naturally curly hair. But after seeing what people do to themselves just to get the curly hair I have every day makes me appreciate it a little bit more... It's still a pain in the ass though

Nunya1101: I never realized that ‘digital perm’ is a Korean thing. With our natural straight hair, we Asians are obsessed with making curls. When we say we’re going to the hair salon it is taken granted that we’re getting a perm of some sort. :)

♡ᴋᴀᴛʏᴀ♡: I used to be a fan, but after watching this masterpiece, I'm a whole air conditioner

E L: Interesting to see this old technique gain a spotlight again. Got my first digi-perm in the early 2000's and even then I remember it was old technology lol. But my curls lasted so long like 6mo minimum (and my hair hates holding any shape). However curling technique matters a lot since looking back, some digital perms can yield curls from another era and definitely look more old fashioned. Nice to see the technique has somewhat updated itself here to yield a fresher look.

Meoni Bergara: Digital perms are now common treatments in the Philippines! I used to feel so pressured to keep my thick naturally wavy-ish straight-ish hair stick straight due to dominant western beauty standards in Asia. But I decided to get one done in high school and that was the first time I felt like my hair was beautiful. Since then, I’ve been trying to transition my hair back to its natural waviness even after the digital perm “wore off” and I ended up cutting it. I’m all for embracing your natural hair and this was one of the turning points that lead to it.

Maryann Anderson: Okay, I'm 247 years old but I can actually remember when we had those strange looking perm machines in this country. Each curler was attached to a cord that was attached to a machine and enough heat was generated to "set" the curl. I never had my hair done on one of those machines; I just saw them in salons. I did a double take when I saw that perm machine in the first part of this video. Takes me WAAAAY back. I've heard that there's nothing new under the sun and THIS certainly isn't new. It may be new in Korea but the last one I saw in this country was in the mid-60's. I think on the ones in this country the curler was actually a part of the machine but on the Korean model the curlers are separate. How tight the curl is depends on how long you leave the curler in. Just take them out sooner if you want a loose curl and leave them in longer if you want a tight curl. I never thought I would ever see one of these monstrosities again.

Amanda M: I died laughing when Brad almost falls out of his chair at the end and reacts the way he did. I watched it atleast five times. Love this video and the Korean Perm. And Brad, you have a stellar personality that just draws my attention to you so easily. You're awesome.

Elaine Cho: I have been getting digital perms and straights for over 20 years and can honestly tell you that they can literally give you whatever look you want. Also, you really don’t need to dry your hair. You can air dry it and just twist it a few times with your fingers and it will look stunning. Same with the straight.

Kim Elise Flute: Yay Tina! I love how Brad barely interrupted her video, she explained the process so clearly

Joyce Herrera: I actually had digital perm before from 2012 to 2019. Every year i always have my hair refreshed but ive finally moved on from perming because i already bleached my hair lol. Digital perm is really gorgeous and less maintenance (for me) i just twist and scrunch my hair after every shower and just apply hair product for it to stay the whole day.

Ashley Jester: Brad is like the only person that I believe when he says I'm beautiful. I know it sounds silly but it's just something about the way he says it. Thank you Brad! Also, so glad you didn't fall off your chair!

LY TAYLOR: I got a digital perm done a few years ago and it was the ONLY time I was happy with a perm. It kept the shape pretty long too. But the process also took FOREVER!!!

xXkira: Got a digital perm a few years back in Japan and I loved that with the digital perm you can choose what kind of curls or waves you want.

Jenna Marie: "I want everything, but I can't have everything." Same Brad, same.

Shelby Williams: Brad you always make me laugh. Your so unapologetically yourself and it’s so refreshing! You turn my day around. And your so relatable, ‘ I want everything but I can’t have everything ’ your just pure awesome sauce

RaeRae: I got a digital perm on my virgin hair so I wouldn't have to do much with my hair when travelling for business, and it was the most amazing hair I've ever had. Looked great, so easy to maintain. Unfortunately I got it at the end of February 2020. 20 days later, I was in lockdown, no more business trips. I had 6 months of great hair in zoom calls. There were plenty of places offering it here in Sydney and it was only a couple of hundred dollars, would 100% recommend.

Lisa Rice: It still blows my mind that people pay money to have some texture, when I spent my entire life hating my curls. Now I love them!

Diamond Wedding Studios: Watching your videos as a beauty school drop out makes me feel like I probably shouldn't have dropped out because literally, I screamed at the last video and we both "oh my goddddd"ed at the same moments. Her hair in the last one was just SO beautiful, so healthy, bouncy, shiny! I feel so much passion towards hair in general because I have a lot of thick, COARSE hair. I wanted a perm so badly as a child but no hairdressers would do it because they said it would "ruin" my hair. My hair has been bleached to oblivion and back with 40 vol, my hair is near indestructable. It makes me sad I missed out on my childhood dreams of volume and curl because this method apparently wasn't available back then!

Dianna Porter: This is literally an updated version of perm machines from the 40-50. Anyone who is licensed or knows hair history should recognize this ‍♀️

QUARTERMASTEREMI6: I have thick, somewhat wavy Asian (Korean) hair, and my mum loved the results of how natural the curls came out! If you’re able to, I’d highly recommend you try it out if you can! ❤️

Sarah Gray: Me: never heard of Korean digital perks. But since it’s a Brad Mondo reacts video, I am totally here for it!

littlemissmel88: I've been debating about cutting my hair short, but after this I want a Korean perm! That hair looked so amazing! Just afraid my straight ass hair would fall out so quickly after all that work.

Cheryl Masaveg: I am SO excited for this because, this is Exactly what I've been wanting for myself. I've been considering getting a perm for some time. I have Very healthy hair and kids.. this is a dream come true. It's going to give me the curl I want as well as the ease of doing it every day. What more could you want, honestly!?

: lol i JUST did these digital perms last thursday i’ve been doing perms like this since i was 4 yrs old so i never thought this technique would feel so new to foreigners the feeling of your hair being pulled upwards and the moment the hairdresser unravels the thingys it’s SO satisfying so happy you discussed this in your channel

Julie S: We all had digi perms when I lived in Japan, they are amazing! Super easy to take care of, even if you are bad with hair stuff and they always look so natural!

Claire Severson: Brad seems like the nicest person, he calls everyone beautiful no matter race or gender. I also am so jealous of his brothers, I mean having a brother that is this good at hair would be amazing.

Jen: This is the kind of thing that revs my engine. When I was in cosmetology school back in the 90's, we studied the history of perms. The earliest perms in America used a heat delivery system very similar to these, but with much more potential for damage. If I had stayed in the business, I would probably have been a perm specialist. I still give my mom perms 25 years later.

Jenn K: I’ve had two great regular perms over the last few years that gave me amazing texture. This looks like a fantastic option for the next one…I wonder if the perm smell is similar though?

Jessica Pereira: I would love it if brad did a video on curl creams, hair oils, leave in conditioners etc. Maybe some brands that are hyped or celeb brands like pattern beauty Would love to know which ones work in his view and the ingredients to look out for!

Isabell J.: Brad, I got a digital perm in LA (mid length, unbleached, thick Korean hair) and it took 4 hours. Took tons of selfie while in the machine. My hair retained the perm smell for a week after but my hair was/still K-drama worthy.

Coconut Gelato: I’ve had this done several times. In the states, I’ve payed between $180-250 for medium length hair and this process takes 5-7 hours to do. The results have always been worth it to me since it looks so natural.

Denice Detroit: Yayaah!! I'm definitely perching the merch on your jewellery. I love jewellery to, but unfortunately haven't be able to treat myself lately. So yeah, definitely going to treat myself. Loving the new merch Brad. Thank you. X❤️

Sandiva Valentine: Omg, Brad. I think you need to indulge your urge to learn about Korean perming. I love how excited you are about it and how intense your reactions are !!!

coolcat8b: Those perms came out beautifully. However, I must point out they were done on Asian hair, which is thicker and is known for being able to withstand a ton of treatment. If I was to have that last perm (deconstruct/reconstruct the hair bonds, twist, heat steam, brush and set) done to me, my hair would be fried.

Blah de Blah: This technique has been around for years. I’m really surprised as a popular hair guy Brad has never heard of it.

Alisa Madoo: I just recently discovered Brad and the few videos I’ve seen I think he had the sweetest most charming demeanor. Honestly it is so dang soothing.

Morgan Malker: OMG. These results literally took my breath away they made my brain tingle

Laura Dulwich: I love how Brad is always willing to learn!

Beer Elf: It looks like a safer version of the Nestle perm from the 1920s! I've seen pictures of it but it always looked incredibly dangerous.

Chrystal Thornton: This looks a lot like the old-fashioned perm machines of the 40's and 50's. When I was a kid I used to see them in beauty shops but never had the pleasure(?) myself.

Sonya B.: OMG as a hairdresser that last technique had me gasping in horror at first and then I was in COMPLETE AWE. that man is a perm god! what a beautiful result! xO

Rachel Y: I love your reaction videos! This digital perm thing is something else! Also your shirt gave me major Clueless vibes and I think I need to watch that movie now! You look amazing! As you always do!

Twisted Stitches: That last “straightening/perm” looks just absolutely amazing! It’s like after you take a million hrs to blow out then wand the hair, but it’s a rough easy dry and viola perfect style! Oh if I were a younger girl!

Juliane: i love my korean digital perms! they last super long and look great. I love how I just have to wash my hair and then do nothing to it for the style to come out

Heather Green: I love that people want their hair to look like my natural hair! I’m still getting use to being okay with my natural hair!

Cindy S: The beauty school I went to had one of the old perm machines, just for us to learn the history of perming, this reminds me of it.

KellzKillz: I’ve had the last one done but my hair was curly to straight, took 6 hours about 600$ every 6 months I’d go in to get the roots touch3d up and it was half price just cuz it was only the roots that grew out this time….but they left the stuff on that breaks ur bond too long & I tried to tell them & my hair started breaking off, everywhere I got it for free, & never did the treatment again but they use formaldehyde to break the bonds, & it is a smell I will never forget they had to have the doors open for hours cuz it was so bad…I could always smell it in the shower it was a light scent of formaldehyde & to this day I still can smell that hint of chemical every time I’m washing my hair In the shower…ughh but for some reason my hair went from bushy lion sheep hair to straight over the years totally weird texture completely changed & the wave and curls are non existent scary right?.?

Komerican10: Korean Digital perms have been around for 20+ years. It’s the best. You get that curled and blowout look 24/7!!

Ailis Roman: Brad is the ultimate hype friend we all need! And with stunning hair cutting skills and supplies we can access, he really makes sure we are always looking and feeling our best

Adraboran Davis-Blake: Ok I officially LOVE Brad!! I just discovered him and have watched almost half his videos. He is so fun!!

Paint in Veins: "I want everything, but I can't have everything..." Brad Mondo, 2021. Most relatable quote of the year.

aznbabeeo: I’ve been getting digital perms in Korea since 2007. They are awesome! It takes a while but you can get beautiful ringlets just by blow drying. In Korea they tell you to use essence which is like a gel that has nourishment in it. Wish I could get it in the states but it’s soo expensive.

Endo The Pain: When he was breaking the bonds in her hair, I was also terrified. I have seen this happen by accident in Cos school when someone would use a acid instead of alkaline. Its insane that he brought her to that extreme of a bond break. I was freaking out with Brad

Sarah S. : This is almost spot on of what I wanted when I was younger. I wanted Julia Roberts hair in pretty woman so bad! I wanted huge bouncy curls without having to spend hours on my hair each day. Still jealous of those curls. Lol!

Kenya Wiggin: I've ALWAYS wanted a perm, but this is the only I've seen where the hair looks healthier after. How much do these services run I wonder? I have fine virgin straight hair, ZERO volume

Jessica Black: This makes me think of the vintage permanent wave machine. It’s actually a very similar process except they say “digital” now. If you google vintage perm machine you will see pics that are basically the same.

tehdash: Sincerely, in my view (which can be fully misunderstood), the fact that Korean perm method has so many steps, before the final result, induces me to think that it is a less aggressive version in comparison to those with less fewer steps. Besides, all the care involved in the process, on each step, is a major plus.

Marissa Maté: Ive always wanted a perm Make your hair look like it was styled in a salon everyday ❤️

Ali MK: This just looks like a modern version of the old school perm machines they used back in the 40’s/50’s. Those ones were admittedly a little scarier to look at though.

Carolyn Lee: Hi Brad. I really appreciate your videos and have learned a lot from you. Thank you so much for being wonderful you! I do have a question. I permed my thick fine hair (white girl) in August. I also had bleached it a year ago and have been using box dye (my options were limited due to health problems). Now it smells like corn chips. I remember you mentioning the possibility of this happening because of a chemical reaction. What can I do to remove it? I've tried vinegar and baking soda so far. I also use conditioning treatments and great shampoo and conditioner and styling products. It still smells offal. Thank you for any assistance you can offer. Sorry so long.

VERONICA BENNETT: I’ve never even heard of this. The last lady’s hair do is exactly the process I want! Braaad you need to do this! I was at Newark airport on Friday. I thought of you :) I didn’t see any of your hair color, otherwise, I woulda gotten it!

MkaMee ML: Oh my!! When they brought out that creepy machine I laughed so so hard! Straight out of a horror movieHOWEVER, as I watched it totally proved me wrong. This machine is awesome. I'd actually try this

MarichelleP: I got one of these 10 years ago when I lived in China. It was the best perm I ever had, however during the process my hair did get super stretchy, I was expecting lots of damage but my hair felt great even months later.

Sydney Ptolemy: I want to get a Korean perm machine. I’d use it on myself as well my clients. Heart throb on that last lady, her hair turned out amazing

Ysh Rivera: I had this back in 2019 and I would absolutely do it again. Mine was even fluffier and more voluminous than the first one.

Inhyoung C: I got my first digital perm back in 2004, and i had BEAUTIFUL perm that last 6-10 months. LOVED the fact that i did not have to blow-dry my hair and all i had to do after showering is add small amount of mousse to keep it from frizzing.

Seyitan Olaifa: I love Brad Mondo. He does beautiful hair perfectly and he's so good at it. I doubt he even knows how good. Ps. I straightened my 3c / 4a hair with at Chatters ( which i rarely go to) just cause i loved the way Brad knows hair He also does his hairstyle well. I think the long at front and short at back with full hair will suit him perfectly. What do y'll think isnt he wonderful? Bunmi/Seyitan

karla malcolm: Brad you beauty, thanks so much for all you do, you always make me smile.

Joan Cox: Brad you are so hilarious! I enjoy watching your videos, and laugh throughout the whole thing

Chanda Chism: Thank you, Brad for this most educational video!

May Turner: As someone with naturally curly hair, it's crazy to me how much is involved to get curls on these ladies!!

Oonagh72: The original perms from like 1920 were just like this. Everything old is new again.

Tiffany W: These look like the best perms I've ever seen!

Itzamary Salazar: Coming for my daily dose of, “hi beautiful”. ♥️

Emily Krohse: Brad looks amazing with the little bit of facial scruff he's rocking

Kat MamaPNW: I used to use the Goldwell press in the 80-90’s and they had great formulas that improved the hair integrity. If your in there chemically alter the hair you can also add good things back in. Better than the hair they came in with

April May: I got this done in hong kong on virgin hair and it looked phenomenal! The waves looked super natural and I just walked into a random street side salon so it didn't cost an arm and a leg. The machine is truly not scary at all. Just sit there and let the magic happen!!

Rad Lyn: I’m not interested in this at all but I loving watching brad talking about it

Retta Schild: It looks like a new version of the old perm machine before the invention of the cold wave. I had a 94 year old client that had her first perm when she was 10 with a similar process. It's funny how everything comes back around.

Nedbella: Yeah, I blow dry my Mum’s hair and just use my fingers. I find that it makes her natural wave more wavy and with more volume. Plus it’s like a massage for her head and she loves the relaxing feel.

SparklyYuki: Love your videos! They're so amazing that they even got a small cameo on Dutch television today

Lily Bryant: brad, i was just in your area and i kept telling my mom about how badly i wanted to meet you. i am an assistant at a hair salon and want to go into cosmetology so much. i’ve learned SO much from you and i love you and your personality and aesthetic and everything so much. thanks for doing what you do and making me happy every day, beautiful.

nena: i got a korean digital perm 2 years ago !! it went well and looked natural BUT it didn't loosen into loose waves as it grew out (and as the stylists said it would ), so my hair grew to a point to where half was straight and the other half was full on curly would i do it again? no

Janet Sherman: My daughter lived in Korea for two years, she brought back the most amazing hair and skin products. So sad we can't find it here!

Diana Zhanay: Follower for a long time and you almost killed me today! I had a cup of hot chocolate I was drinking and saw your life flash before your eyes and almost choked LMFAO. Love that you're so real and transparent in your videos! Most people would have edited that out. Lol Keep being a beautiful soul!

pineapple apple pie: Hey Brad! I've been considering doing one of your tutorials, but I'm a bit scared because my hair is super duper thin, and I'm not sure layering would do me good, or that the haircut would look similar on me. Would you ever consider doing a fine hair haircut tutorial?

Nipa: Brad having a hairgasm over the way the hairdresser combed the little hairs in, how he blowdried the hair and the final product. It looks amazing btw. I want that.

Sarah_j: That last transformation was gorgeous!! Literal hair goals!

Ella: The day just gets better when brad uploads!

AtOoM-11: I wish brah can do my curly hair, using his products— damn that would be like a dream, anyways keep going Brad ur just amazing, like seriously

Ashlyn M: If i could get a digital perm this convinced me! I've always been anti perm bc my family members always looked so bad but this looks great!

Badenixe 86: My god you're such a great guy ❤ A perfect model and entertainer, i love watching your videos! Best regards from switzerland

Heatherylou1990: I’ve had my hair permed three times. I prefer the natural wave to the tight ones. My uncle is a hairdresser so he did mine the first and third time and the second time I was living in aus at the time and I got salon to do it and it wasn’t great, I think because I was so used to my uncle doing my hair my whole life. When I go back to visit he always does it for me either a cut or colour. I asked for a perm last time to dry my hair out as it’s very oily

Weezie P: I personally think you could rock a perm like no other. Now I’d love to see you with a wiggy on that has gorgeous curls now lol I’ve been wanting a perm so bad for the past few months but I change my mind cause of how it fries my ends I want the perm to be a big trend again(not to sure if its popular rn) we need to make a lot of the 80s trends trendy again lol

Meek Is Not Weak: I’ve asked about this when I first learned about it nearly 10 years ago and NONE of my stylist friends knew what the heck I was talking about! My hair is nearly to my belt when standing and THICC, to get those ends curled (with my two inch barrel) is so exhausting and time consuming hence why I’d want a body wave. Who knows, maybe I’ll just cut it all off… Wouldn’t be the first time.

koreabae: There are literally people perming to get my natural texture ( My hair is like the second perm from guy tangs clip ) I’m speechless and finally feel pretty. But Tina’s friend Zen is what I want

Sakura Sai: I literally want a Korean digital perm so bad after watching this but the result it gives is literally my natural hair texture I got the same volume in the tips of my hair and defined curls, but I could definitely use some volume in my roots. A girl is balding up there at the age of 21
