Hey guys welcome back to my channel and in today's video we are going to talk about which of these hair colors works for your hair type. There is definitely a technique and color that is perfect for your hair type. Now the tricky part is when there is something that is so trendy, and i know that balayage and ombre and sombre and smoked out roots. I know that that's been around for a long time, but that is still what is being requested. Aside from like the micro trends, but the overall trend is like a softness and something that looks really natural, i'm going to start with the first and probably kind of one of the most difficult, and this is for those fine hair clients and finer hair can be Absolutely beautiful oftentimes people that have fine hair actually have a lot of hair. So in some ways we can actually use that to our advantage and give you something: that's really beautiful. What i've also seen is a lot of clients that come in who have already gotten their hair balayaged and it's so not what they want, and they show me a picture that like this is what i want instead, where, where the colors start, it's not soft. There'S almost a distinct line, and this often happens when someone who has finer hair and maybe less hair, and the reason for that is in order to have a kind of chunkier piece, the more hairs per kind of square inch. The more you have to work with to create a ton of softness, so imagine say a panel of like five rows and i have to make that go up and down, but really smooth. Now. Imagine 500 panels. That'S a lot easier to make. That line. Almost look! Blurred, rather than if i just have five, i know that's extreme exaggeration, but just to kind of help. You visually understand why it is a more difficult to to give that softness, especially at the root. So what i recommend for someone with finer hair is either kind of starting a little bit lower. So it gives us a lot more space and range up here in order to give you a lot of that softness, because in that space we can incorporate basically a mixture of say, baby lights and some balayage, and then with that it creates a ton of softness. Now my point isn't to say that someone with fine hair and even very little hair that you can never achieve a very soft look. You absolutely can it's just not necessarily going to look like that picture that you've probably brought in of someone who has extremely thick hair, and that is one thing that is just so common and again. I'Ve talked to other hairdressers and they've definitely expressed the same feelings that oftentimes your clients will bring in pictures that are the complete opposite of their hair, and it's true i mean i, i definitely fall into this as well, but we all want what we don't have. So it's the girl that has you know extremely you know thick coarse, curly, hair, we'll bring in this picture of this girl that has like 10 hairs on her head and it's just like so soft kind of limp, just kind of sitting there on her head and She'S, like i want this haircut and i'm like that, that is the haircut you have, but oftentimes they'll see it as the color or the cut, and this is in no way to steer you away from your hair goals. So say you have a finer thin hair. I'M not saying that you can never achieve. You know this softness um of this kind of ombre or balayaged. Look. It just means that it may take more than one session in order to create like spontaneity and really an incredible softness. Basically, the way it occurs in nature is not done overnight. It'S not done in one session or one sitting, balayage or kind of a rooted look, looks more and more beautiful over time, because if you think about it, if you add, say a couple of baby lights, then that grows out and then so. This is down here. But even more diffused, because each hair actually does grow at different pace, so it that line will be even softer. So, on top of that, then you're adding more pieces that are again at different starting points, and it's with that over time that you keep adding just so much variation that ends up making. That line so beautifully soft and just really natural. Looking at the end of the day, that's all it's really mimicking is softness that occurs in nature. So, basically imagine a little girl who you know her. Hair ends are pretty blonde and it's been basically lightened by the sun, because she has such soft delicate, baby hair and that's incredibly technical to get down in one session, so my advice would be if you are going for this. Look for the first time. I would definitely recommend that you get a mixture of both so say if you still want say some roots and you want kind of your balayage to start there or lower um, just ask for a mixture of both balayage and a few baby lights. That combination will automatically diffuse that line a lot more and just make it that much more soft, now kind of on the other side of the spectrum, that is the girls that come in with really thick more coarse, hair and often times they want the highlights. All the way to the roots and oftentimes, i will see clients coming in with sort of this look where it looks really chunky just because that person has a lot more hair. So a few highlights kind of goes a long way so clients with thicker fuller hair. I actually do recommend a more rudy, more relaxed, look, basically the opposite of what what a finer hair person would need, and the reason for that again to give you a visual to understand. Why is much like clothing when we wear black clothes or dark clothes? It'S pretty slimming, whereas when we wear white or really bright colors, it makes the area appear larger. Also, the same way when you highlight and contour you contour the areas that you want to make slimmer, you highlight the areas that you want to make come forth. So you're kind of doing the same thing with hair. So if someone has, you know, fuller, thicker, hair, adding less of that blonde or um kind of piecing it out more will actually give them a very balanced look without adding a ton of volume to their already voluminous hair. There'S also another topic very similar to what we're talking about today, that i've never touched on, and i'm wondering if you guys would be interested in and that is specifically adding lightness to certain areas of the hair to better suit. Your face shape. Whether you want to enhance certain features or whether you want to conceal certain features so say someone that has maybe a wider jaw or not as chiseled of a jaw and they kind of want to conceal oftentimes women will kind of want longer, hair and oftentimes that, Like if you think of it like profile, that's not actually doing much justice to that shape, and so knowing, where to add color, can be incredibly beneficial to really make your features pop. It really give you more control as to what you want to enhance and what you would much rather conceal. So i hope that today's video has kind of helped. You understand if you've tried one of these techniques and it just hasn't worked for your hair. Hopefully, you understand a little bit better now, which will help you understand what it is you need to ask for in the future, so on what you can expect in the next couple of weeks um in terms of videos, i have another hair, color technique, video coming And i've partnered with redken, you guys, are really loving those type of videos, because they are definitely done more from a professional perspective and really showing you kind of more in-depth techniques and because it is now spring, i wanted to do either kind of a spring lookbook Um - and maybe i could do more of like a like spring trends, where i kind of just sit here and explain like what is kind of trending like what i like like what i've bought um or if you guys want to see like actual put together outfits Um of me trying them on i've also had a couple requests and they've definitely been coming in more this week for some reason - and that is other hairdressers asking me to do um kind of outfits that i wear to the salon. So if that is something that you guys would like to see, um, let me know - or let me know which of those kind of fashion videos you would rather see so anyway. Thank you guys for sticking around uh. I love you and i'll. See you next. Video bye, you

Elise Pavek: The hardest part for me is finding a hair stylist who actually knows the techniques that they say they do. I’ve gone in asking for balayage multiple times to different salons and instead of having the product painted on the hair in a flattering v-shape like I’ve seen in your videos- they go straight in with scattered highlights. Frustrating when I ask specifically if they are familiar with these techniques!

Aneta Markowska: Both. I would love to see you actually working on client. Transformation on client with your tips. I know it's hard to make this type of videos but it would help us hairdressers learn maybe something new because we all have our favourite techniques that we seem to stick to. It's nice to see what others do

Thasha Thiru: 0:44 For people with fine hair 5:17 For people with thick hair

Cassidy Czepczynski: I’m getting my hair done on Thursday and going to a very expensive, and highly regarded place, because I have been so disappointed with my hair lately. This video was SO educational and helpful!!!! Thank you!! I have thinning hair that I’m currently fighting with and I am always asking for “balayage,” but this video has taught me more about what to actually ask for. To be honest, I just want to first and foremost look like I have as much hair as possible. Secondly, I want to be blonder. Luckily, I think being blonder helps with having a appearance of more hair. But if you have any tips on how to ask for color or cut, please let me know!!! I have been dealing with progressively thinning hair for a few years and sometimes it feels truly devastating. I have a pretty good attitude about it now and consider myself pretty realistic when it comes to what my hair will look like after a visit to the salon vs what I wish it would come out like, but I would love to learn more about what to ask for!

Breezy F: Listening to you educate so in-depth on the topic of hair and break down the process itself to where its comprehensive and helpful, really shows you how some stylists actually dont know crap about hair and what styles work or why they don’t. And often why we end up with the opposite of what we pay so much money for to get, then have to fix sometimes over and over again with the stylist making up an excuse as to why you cant have whats in the picture! Thank you...wish there were more stylists with your knowledge. It would sure make coloring easier lol.

Shayne Ashley: I would love to hear about lightened placements and how to bring attention to our best bits! (No one wants to make a double chin more noticable!) Im thinking of getting balayage pieces around my face , in an attempt to blend in grey hair a little better and if I knew where to place them, it would help me greatly.

Angela Hawkins: A huge thank you for this video! I now know that I need to ask for baby lights with my balayage to get the color I want. My last stylist basically gave me an ombre even though I had said that I wanted more blonde towards the roots. The only blonde highlights I got was right in the front of my hair. I look like a skunk when I put my hair up. Going to a new styist that I have had a consultation with and understands what I want. I will be reiterating that I want baby lights with balayage when sitting in the chair before she starts.

Leah Damron: I feel like you're the only person on YouTube shedding light on this (applying balayage on fine hair) subject. I totally agree, my own hair is really fine and hard to get a soft line when you bring the blonde up too high... THANKS SILVIA

Joanne Adamidou: You are being really informative overall and particularly on how to have balayage + babylights for the first time to start creating that soft natural look. Thank you so much.

Laura Parmentier: Definitely some outfits that you wear to work in the salon! I love your channel, I'm still a student hairdresser and your explanations are really clear and interesting, it helps me a lot! Can't wait for your next video with Redken :)

Ronda Byers: This was great. So informative! All these examples made so much sense! This should be a series talking about different cuts, styles etc. By the way what is sombre? Ombré mixed with what?

Jess VR: Great explanation regarding patience with hair goals and the analogy of things taking time to naturally occur like they would outdoors. Excellent vid! Thanks for posting :)

Fabiana Di Camillo: I love how honest and real you are when you talk about hair!

Amy Laframboise: This was so so so helpful!! I’ve realized I need/want a mixture of both baby lights and balayage. My hair is fine but I have a dense scalp so loooots of it!

Late Bloom: Just what I thought! I have fine hair and was thinking to get a mixture of the two, babylights and balayage. I love how you explained everything in detail, very helpful video!

Lina Ver: So I actually found this video AFTER having the balayage done because I wanted to check if I got what I wanted because it looks different than the pictures I've seen. And now I understand that I am the perfect example that you mention - I have a lot but thin hair and the pictures I've seen and loved are with thick hair. and what my hairdresser did is exactly what you say - she did balayage with highlights (she even mentioned them at the time and I was suprised then). Shortly, I am happy I found a good hairdresser who knows what she's doing and does what's best for me. But my initial ignorance, lol

suru01: Hi Elle! I'm 32 and will be dyeing my hair for the first time soon. I love my natural color but grays are starting to show up in pictures so it's time :( What would be the best approach for just covering grays and maybe a bit of balayage? Do I have to dye my entire head of hair? thank you!!

wonderandwanderco: Just found your channel and have already watched so many videos! So glad I found you! You are so thorough, informative and easy to listen to! Love your vids

リリ: Thank you for your videos! I’ve been looking up some balayage styles and was wonder whether it’s possible to have a balayage with black hair without bleaching? Maybe with some other color like a dark red or brown instead? Or is it difficult for the color to show up?

Gig Life With Lexi: Awesome video, thank you! Since most DIY ers use box colors, Can you do a video on why you don't recommend those as well as hair painting kits? Would love to know more about this. :) xo

motttsable: I’m lucky cause my hairdresser is incredible and she is so awesome at balayage ( which is what I get most of the time ) and she always know exactly what she’s talking about. I’m thinking of getting a full head of highlights

Lesley St Germain: I say yes to all the fashion idea videos! Always love all your videos!

Sarah D: I got partial highlights done and my hair turned out PLATINUM blonde. Underneath was so dark. She had to eventually add more highlights underneath and smudge the root to make it less bright. I still think its WAY too blonde - like white, and I wanted a dirty/natural blonde. Can i tone this down to a different colour? or will it look too ashy?

Laura Deli: I wish more “professionals” who claim to be colour specialist would watch your videos because I swear watching these videos I understand more about hair than some hairdressers

Jo.K.: Whenever I want color effects (I've only had all color when the sun leaves my naturally off-black hair brassy, then I get jet-black with no blue double pigment) hairdressers always go for foil highlights. So I've just assumed that, that's all that'll work on my hair. Next month will be the first time I might go for one overall color in something - please anything else - than jet-black. My hair is straight, coarse with a thick diameter but quite sparse amount so I wear it med-long with soft layers on top with open "curtain bangs". On the other hand, if my husband wants "something on top like I've been a lot in the Sun", he'll say ,and they paint/bleach with a brush but don't cover his hair with foil or anything else. He has fine blond hair worn short and not much of it. My hairdresser has small children and works from home, I've even seen her in her PJs if I have a very early appointment.:D

Morgan Ashley: I wish I would have watched this before going to the salon. I usually dye/bleach my own hair and it has turned out really nice in the past, I've even gotten compliments from stylists that cut my hair. Now instead of updating my existing balayage I have some grey/brassy mix of a nightmare that doesn't look sun kissed at all. I'm freaking out.

Iam Who: I feel like i have learnt what my hair needs when i want a balayage style hair: 1. JUST babylights or teasing 2. with FOILS only, because without foils I get a part where my hair stays orange! So is it okay to go to a hairdresser and tell him: Please, i dont want the balayage technique and to use foils for every part that has bleach on? I would love to hear your opinion if its okay to ask for that when going to a salon ((:

Mckenzie Schafer: This video is so helpful! And yes please give us more! The idea you described for future videos would be amazing see.

Danikah Smith: I definitely want to see you doing more hair videos in action up close and personal in the salon your techniques and personality in your work.

viktorija sink: Id love to see you work at the salon and do a tutorial on a Balyage or ombré. I’m personally a visual learner and I’d love to see how you do it!! Xxo

Denelle Ball: I would love to see the summer trends! Love ellebangs!

Makeup Time With Kelly: I would love a video about how anyone can go blonde and it to look good without washing your face out! I went blonde probably around the year 2000 and i looked hideous! I looked so washed out and I swore I would never ever go blonde again and I haven't, yet...but I really want to find a way to and for it to look good. Also if there is certain types of people who should never go blonde then a video on that would be good to? Ever since Chloe Kardashian got her hair cut this year into that shorter platinum bob with the dark roots I've been wishing for her hair, so any help and ideas would be amazing! Much love❤️

Linda Buchanan: Definitely would like to see a vid on outfits you wear to the salon! I'm in Cosmo school now and we have salon days where we are allowed to wear all black with just a pop of color which can only be like shoes or some kind of accessory. I really struggle with coming up with fresh ideas on what to wear on those days because of how limited I sometimes feel my choices are. But I know that once I'm licensed finally and starting out in the industry looking for a salon to work at that a good amount of them (at least down here in FL where I live) have a dress code of basically all black. I'm trying to get ideas of how I can be fashionable and look fresh and creative but still follow the rules. I do feel like I see more and more salons these days though where they don't wear ALL black. Anyways, I'm rambling now! I vote yes all the way for that video! Also definitely can't wait to see more collabs with Redken! I toned my hair with Redken Shades EQ recently for the first time because I had been wanting to try their toners for a while now and if there is anyone I've ever watched on YouTube, when it comes to hair, I think I value your opinion and your experience more than anyone else's. I learned a lot from you before I even started beauty school last Jan and I feel that you explain things in such a way that makes it easy to understand. So I just want to thank you for that because you inspire me to keep going after something I'm passionate about! ❤

Livdonut 527: I'm so glad to find your videos, just hoping I can find the right person to work on my hair for once!! I always seem to get "stuck" w either the conservative one or the stubborn one that doesn't want to do what I want. Last girl actually said "flaming orange" about my hair and now I'm trying someone else - photo is not me LOL its my daughter ;)

Cassandra: Great video with good explanations! <3

Christina Di Manno: It is incredible to me how you have not aged one single bit in 5 years worth of videos. Anti-aging secrets PLEASE!

brooklyn24: This was exactly what I was looking for! I have an appointment in 2 days to lighten my hair and I didn't know if highlights or bayalge would be best. I have finer hair, but a lot of hair and have always gotten highlights that have grown out into a bayalge affect thanks to my amazing stylist. But I have a new stylist thanks to army life and she loves bayalge so I'm a bit nervous on what to expect vs what I want.

Amanda Webb: I have brown hair, of which I dye darker brown. But, I've also been blonde, of which I'm not opposed to doing again. I have had grays show up (of which I cover) for a long time. For now, it's just at the roots, but not all over. Which color technique would hide this better, and for a longer time?

My ZoeyGirl: Great video as usual I would love to see the strobing or contouring with kites or darks for my round gave. I have long, very thick hair that I just don’t have time to style it every day. Any advice would be so appreciated

J Knight: Thank you for this video... such an important video you did an excellent job explaining!

Jessica fowler: Great Video! A video where to add color to enhance your face shape would be great! I also love your season outfit videos.

Rachel Guerrero: Yes go over what lightness works for your face shape. Thank you for the informative tips

Puggy gaming: Learned my.lesson with balayage and fine hair, I've always done a lovely balayage but made my sectioned a little too big on my friend that has very fine hair and not much of it, she had a couple of lines (not as bad as the first pic) lesson learned and I fixed it with blended root drag .

C Ann: Thx for explaining the differences! Can you please do a video on different ways to style the back of your hair? I have mastered the front and am always unsure how to do the back. There is very little (to nothing) on Youtube. Occasionally I see the back of my hair in pictures and I am always unhappy with the look.

tbunnyshy l: My highlights and fine hair are nearly solid at this point. I know it’s wrong for fall and winter but I really look happier!

Karen Singing ASMR: I'd love to see that video about concealing big cheeks in a future video this is also an awesome one! Thank you

Kay Ramage: Thankyou so much, this is exactly what I needed to hear. I always know exactly what I want but don't know 'technically' what to ask for. I don't know where my hair needs coloured to shape my face best either.. my stylist knew what to do but moved away recently. Shouldn't my new stylist know where to apply color for shape?

Practical Drum Concepts with Heather Higley: I have a lot of fine hair and want to go ashy blonde. I have always had similar colour highlights, but haven't had them redone for a couple years so the roots are a substantial dark blonde/mousey brown- kind of looks ok though. Would it work if I got ash highlights again, and then asked for balayage of top roots in between getting more highlights? Is that better than just keeping on getting half head highlights? Is it more economical?

J K: Would love to see how you’d recommend colour placement to slim the face... thank you!

Boone Cricket: Thank you for this video. It helped me manage my expectations for my very fine and not a lot of hair.

AnnaBean: I have fine hair and a girl botched my first ombre, and curled it after to cover up the patchyness that she didn’t blend well, so now i always ask for straight hair after to check their work before i walk out.

Deanae Elizabeth: Yes do a video on concealing certain areas! I have very thick hair thinking of doing ombre because tired of doing roots with hair highlights every 4 months. My roots are dark blonde almost brown. What base should I tell my hair dresser having a few grays come through as I am 53 years old now just a few. lol

Sandy Daka SiS: Ty so much for all the fabulous tips and styles....this is my new obsession.... I can't wait to go balayage..... I'm so excited.... I love the eyebrows tips....Ive let mine grow out now it's time to try something new....ty do much ur dp beautiful and talented ....keep me posted

ArtofBeauti: My stylist gave me blonde highlights when I really wanted balayage. When I showed her a photo she said we can achieve it with highlights. Now I hate them. Its not blended. There’s a harsh line and bad contrast between the roots and my natural hair. What can ask for to have her fix it?

Lisa Longo: I would love to see a video on your thoughts and technique on Peek A Boo Highlights. I am thinking of doing something like that when my hair gets longer

HopePhotoG: This was super informative. Thank you !

SunShine Rose: Mine is all natural Ombre. My photo is about a yr old after my last frost kit was at my son's wedding in mid Oct of 2017. So the light blonde is at the tips now and my roots down have turned finally. Im 56 with Cherokee blood. Most of us get the grey Ombre look early. She's right about it looking more natural with time. Its now grown half way down my back. I need to get a few inches off and say goodbye to my light blonde tips. Leaving it the Silvery platinum natural color all over. Now that ive veen getting complimented on my hair and asked who does it, im keeping it. Ive always said im gonna grow old naturally. Ive managed it with my hair. I need to do and update pic when I loose a few inches. Mine is definitely baby fine and im a grandmother for the 1st time to my 6 mo old baby gir pumkin. And now my daughter is expecting, so im fine with the color that fid come natural over time.

Sabrina Stovall: Great video!! I love them all !!! Any video from you is amazing !! ❤️

theotherkangaroo: I have fine hair & now know why highlights are best for me. Yes, I would like you to do a video about color placement to enhance facial features.

Melba Lemley: I would love to see a video on highlight placement to reduce or accentuate certain facial characteristics.

Karen Singing ASMR: Oh yes I'd love to see outfits to wear to the salon ️

Kimberly Urena: Hi!! I have a question: Do you recommend a person with little & fine hair to get a balayage? My hair is fine/thin & it falls a lot... i do weekly scalp treatments with natural products & apply oils to the ends of my hair. Currently my hair is a soft black/dark brown & I’d like to lighten it to a bright ash-y blonde with a balayage. I would it damage my hair a lot? Or should I be fine if I take proper care of it? Thank you!

Allanita22: Great advice!! Now I understand everything...thank you for sharing :)

Cassie Greulich: Im not even a hairdresser but i think the video of outfits you wear to the salon would be entertaining!!

Norma Garnica: I love your videos!! Can gray hair be blended into color Instead of covering gray?

Marie. Elaine: I have very curly hair and every time I go to a hair stylist they are always visibly shocked when they touch my hair. It’s always so funny because they all say the same thing “wow! You’re hair is SO soft!” I have what I consider fine hair (you can see a lot of my scalp when I put my hair back) but my hair is very long and the “bulk” of it is down by my neck. I completely agree with your above analysis! I noticed that when I get my hair lightened it always looks best when it grows out a little because it’s so hard to get those soft pieces near the top of my head!

Robin Dusch: Yes, a look book please!

Kylee Schewe: I have never had my hair done but have considered getting highlights (I have dark dark brown hair) trying to figure out what will work with my really fine hair.

cakes by Emma: I have watched your video first time and it is soooooo good ...the details you gave are outstanding .I always want to have some colour on my head but never get enough money to get those treatments...it's so expensive in london...:(

Zayda Saeed: I love ur vids ur such an inspiration ❤️

Marie Avila: I had a bad experience with getting my hair low lighted and now don't know what to do. My stylist is a friend and has recommended I let it fade but it is is so dark with low lights in now a brunette after being a beige blonde. I asked to make my low lights a tad darker not a brown color. Any suggestions? I feel ugly

Slie: I LOVE your entire look in this video, from makeup to your hair, even to your shirt! Do you remember where it's from??

LillyLuck88: Yes please! A week of work outfits and hair styles

Romans116: The softness has nothing to do with the location of where you start the lifting, it’s the technique and the application or hand of the artist. I’ve seen ombrés that looks like a line across the head on the lower shaft and the near the roots. Say for example you get a client with highlights starting at the root... when it grows out it looks ugly with a very harsh line resulting in the clients wanting to come back to get a retouch. So the theory of “natural look” comes over time is false.

Renee CA: So, my hair is super thick and course. I used to wear it fully hi-lighted, but have gone back to more of my dark blonde color with some natural ombre hi-lights. Well, now I'm getting grey, which is coming in silver. I'm thinking I need to go lighter, because doing my roots more than twice a year(my usual) isn't working with the silver/platinum! What would you suggest I do?

pbr fan: I learned so much watching this. Thank you

Vanessa Torres: Yessss please do the video where to highlight for face shapes! :)

Emily: Could you do a skincare video? Or maybe spring fragrances and body products? :)

anna madis: I would like the next video to be where you explain blonde highlights would be good for different face shapes. Especially square faces. ❤️

express yourself: Thank you for your videos, you are a real help for us non professional but interested people. Thank you.

Lily Uzunova: Yes, please cover color "contouring" ! :)

Petr Weigl: Thank you for such a well explained video. You’re beautiful!

Roxie Maria: EMERGENCY I NEED HELP!!!! So basically I got highlights 2 days ago the first day when it was styled, freshly dyed etc. It didn't look so bad after I washed it though I noticed the vibrance of the hair had faded away and it just looked ashy and damaged.I searched up videos on how to lighten it at home and came accross some home remedies and some chemical remedies.home remedies included honey, lemons, baking soda (question:which is most effective?) The chemical remedies I found were toners (question:how do I use them effectively and without damage also I dont want my hair to go back to its natural brown color plz help me!!!) And I am kind of stuck with a grey toned blonde until i figure out what to do.Also the lady who did my highlights barely separated my strands of hair so now it looks like from my shoulders to my lower back my hair is grey and from my roots to my shoulders my hair is dark brown it is very messed and i need helppp!!!! (P.S this was my first time dying my natural hair)

Boston Englehart: I used to be a brunette.. with like a chocolate brown but very dark... then last year in April.. I bleached my hair very slightly.. just at the ends.. my hair wasn't damaged.. then.. I did it again because my hair grew out and it kept getting more and more damaged.. my hair is extremely extremely thick and wavy and curly.. I want to become blonde like you are but maybe with a few more golden tones and smoked out roots but I'm scared that my hair will become completely damaged and stop growth.. I also would like to perm straighten my hair (it's what my hair dresser recommended because my hair is too thick) ... I was just wondering what you thought?

Nicole Martin: You are beyond talented and beautiful! Thanks for this! Showing my hairdresser!

Megan Malicki: Love this video thank you! Your next video idea sounds awesome

The Mrs NA: I have fine long hair, and I have never colored my hair before. I need to color it now bc I am getting gray. So what do I do since I want a natural look, but you suggested to start lower? I'm asking bc the gray obviously is from the root. Thank you!!

Noshes Kamz: Omg you are so beautiful- absolutely love your makeup.. especially this look. So glowy but light ❤️

Melissa Cooper Fit: Hi! Was the price range to get this done? One for the hair salon is asking me for $500 for the first session. Is that normal?

Cricket: I love you so much! You are such a class act. Love the in depth video's on balayage.

LoveHopeFaith: What Technique do you recommend to blend grey hair on dark brown hair?

Katebeautyx: I would love to see a video on which areas on the hair to lighten.

Lisa Tracey: I sooo wanna get my hair done by you. Wish I wasnt so far away. Big thanks from Ontario.

Tania L: Great video! What about people who have neither thin or very thick. What do you recommend for medium thickness hair please?

Andrea Garcia: I have thin hair and less hair, I’m wondering if you would recommend I get tape extensions prior to a balayage? My hair has probably been dyed once or twice my whole life lol for the same reason as stated above I understand extensions and bleach make your hair fall and thinner however I want to try something new I need a change and I’m the type that will do this probably just once or twice in a blue moon so in wondering if you’d recommend I get the extensions prior to color to achieve a nice balayage blend ?

Danielle Ryncavage: @ellebangs great video, thank you. Can you do a makeup tutorial on what you are wearing in this video. Your foundation and highlighter looks amazing!

GuCCii STaX: You are very good and easy to understand. Only if you had some visual examples throughout the talk it would have been perfect.. you get A+ anyway tho! Your amazing!! :)) ❤

Lynn Rose: You always provide good information. Thank you/

Mary Hernandez: All of the video ideas sound very interesting! I say make all of them

FRANKIE BABY: is that your natural base color at the roots? would you consider your hair to be a combo of balayage and babylights?? appreciate your answer sooo much thank you
