How To Create A Fluffy Heart Braid | 2019 Valentine’S Day Hairstyles
You are going to LOVE this new heart hairstyle that’s PERFECT for #ValentinesDay! What I love about this look is that it appears super intricate and fancy… but it’s actually SO EASY to do! What do you think??

Step 1: Pull the hair up into an elastic (start about an inch above the ear).
Step 2: Find the center of the elastic, make a hole, and flip the hair in the elastic from the bottom, towards the ceiling.
Step 3: Divide the ponytail into 3 even pieces.
Step 4: Starting with the right section, create a normal, 3 strand braid.
Step 5: Pull the OUTSIDE edges of the braid (pancake them), and secure with an elasitc.
Step 6: Repeat step 5 on the left section.
Step 7: Take the middle section of the ponytail and backcomb the base slightly (to make fluffier).
Step 8: Join the right & left braided sections to the middle section of the ponytail, and secure with an elastic.
Step 9: Really tug at the base of the ponytail to make tighter, and create the desired heart shape.
Items Needed: Elastics, comb, hairspray (if desired)

Don'T you know that you're beautiful ♪, Hey everyone, I'm Mindy McKnight from Cute Girls, Hairstyles and I'm here with Kilee my niece, who also has lovely golden hair. You're like Rapunzel, in real life, with the blonde long flowy hair.? But guess what guys It's January? Which means it's time to start doing some heart, hairstyles yay.. Before we get on to the fluffy heart braid I wan na just take it one thing, really quick.. If you haven't been to Brooklyn and Bailey's shop site lately, you guys should go check it out because they have a whole bunch of new product.. First of all, you guys know we love our scrunchies, but we have Valentine's sets put together now on the website that you can get, but we also are selling all the pom-poms.. You guys saw Brooklyn and Bailey wear these in a couple pictures and everyone freaked out on these pom-poms., And we also have even some heart clips super Valentiney.. There'S a ton more over there.. I don't have time to show you all of them, but you can click the link in the description box below to go check it all out.. Now, let's go show'em how to do the fluffy heart, braid., Yes.. Okay, to start this hairstyle, what I've done is pulled her hair up into an elastic at the top, and you can see I've left roughly an inch above each ear, and I left some little face-framing pieces down just to soften the look too., I'm gon na show You how to do this not using a Topsy Tail in case you don't have one.. You basically just find the center of the elastic, create a little hole using your fingers and you go all the way. Through. So can see how my finger is down here. So you just make a nice little hole and then you're just gon na flip that hair right through the hole and we're going from the bottom up towards the ceiling on this flip.. What it gives you by doing that is this nice little lift.! You see how it has that nice little lift to it. That'S exactly what we're looking for in this hairstyle. Once you've done, that you can take this section and you're gon na divide off one little side piece here and one little side piece on the left.. Try to get'em about is even as possible: check'em. (, serene music, ), Okay, and once you have the two little pieces to the side like this, then you are going to take this middle part and for now just elastic it out of the way or you can Clip it out of the way or whatever works. Okay, so we're gon na start with this right section.. What we want to do is create a three-strand braid, so we're gon na. Take this one little section. We have divide it into three strands that are even and then go ahead and do a normal braid. (, serene music ) And I'm not doing super tight braid., I'm not doing super loose.. I would just say it's medium., Like I'm, not doing crazy, crazy, tight either. When you get to about here, then I'm gon na go back and I'm just gon na pull the edges.. So I'm really gon na pool, but I'm just pulling one little side edge. If possible., Let's see all the way up, pull. And then, as I go farther up some of these pieces down here, I have to go back and re-tug pancake'em all the way. Up. (, serene music ). You can just see just going back and making sure every piece has a nice little pancaked feel to it like that. And then I'm just gon na secure it with an elastic. Okay. So we're gon na repeat on this left side. Too. So divide the hair into three even strands and then just do a regular braid.. Then you get about here, go back and again just grab those outside edges. And you can see I'm only doing the outside edge., I'm not doing the inside edge of both sides. You'll, see why in a minute, but for now just do that.. Now we're gon na secure that with an elastic as well. While we work on the middle for a second., Okay, this middle piece - we just want really nice and straight and smooth, but also fluffy, so I'm gon na go back in and I'm just gon na add a little back combing to this top part right here right At the base., I'm gon na do two sections here, because I really want it to like puff up and be fluffy.. Then I'm just gon na go back and smooth it, because I want it smooth too. And when you feel like you, have as much fluff or height as you want, then just kind of gather it with your fingers.. I'M gon na take just a tiny little bit of wax spray and spray it on there to just help with the she's got some flyaways, because her hair is so fine. Like this, and then I'm gon na take this piece and add it in, and this piece And add it in like this and then I'm gon na take another elastic and secure it all at the bottom.. Now I'm just gon na secure it all together for right now and then I'll remove those other two elastics that you can see.. This is just an easier way to do it all at once., Then you can go back and just ... (, serene music, ). Okay, when you get to this point, you need to go back and just re-tug any sections that, for any reason, have come less fluffed and then what I do is just go. Take my fingers right at the top and really give that a pull, because that's gon na give you a lot better heart, shape. Comb the ends out and there you have a fluffy heart, hairstyle.: Okay, guys, let's do the final spin. (, serene music ) Such a Cute heart, I love it..
