Hey guys, it's me aka Nicky May 2003 and I'm so excited because in this video I'm coming to you with a collaboration with five other natural hair bloggers in Atlanta and we're coming to share some ideas for Valentine's Day. Natural hair styles. So keep watching for how I do my style and then definitely check out the links at the end for the other five vloggers. So the first thing I'm doing here is just moisturizing, my hair using peak curls, leave-in conditioner and, as you can see, I like to work in sections that makes it a lot easier to work with now that I've moisturized all the sections of my hair. I'M now going back and adding a little bit more of the leave-in conditioner, along with the curls souffle cream, which is what I'm going to use to braid a portion of each section. So, as you can see, I'm not braiding my hair. All the way down to the ends, I'm leaving several inches free at the ends and I'm adding a little bit more of the leave-in conditioner, as well as the curls souffle, and just really saturating my ends, detangling them well and then I'm going to roll them. With my flexi rods now I'm all rolled up and I'm gon na sleep in these overnight to let them air dry. So now it's time to take down these flexi rods and I'm going to be using the curls curl elixir as an oil just to decrease frizz. As I take down these rollers now that all the rods are out, all I'm doing is separating my braids making sure I have some of that boil on my fingertips to carefully separate the curl at the end, and really all I'm doing is just unbraided, I'm not Even separating any of those sections from the braid further because my hair was a little damp after taking the rods out, so I had enough fullness and I didn't need to separate any further. So this is the final look after reading all of the sections, I hope you guys enjoyed and if we're thinking about trying this or some other new style for Valentine's Day. Definitely let me know where you're trying out in the comment section below also don't forget to check out the rest of the Atlanta bloggers to see their Valentine's Day styles as well. Thank you. So much for watching and I'll see you guys next time, bye.

Iriss Delgadillo: Hi Mae! I love your vids and I think this one was very inspirational. Also, taking the rods out when the hair slightly damp is an advantage if you want volume right away! Plus sometimes waiting for hair to dry takes too long! "Aint nobody got time fo dat!" lol ;) Thanks for sharing <3

Erika Kay: I love this look! Not every style has to be ultra defined and smooth. I like seeing natural texture in styles!

Yellow: This style looks awesome. Your hair is so bouncy and shiny! Thanks for sharing :)

Yellow: Your hair turned out so soft and beautiful! Thanks for the video!

Christal Williams: This came out really cute. I loved the look.

NaturallyRoro: I LOVE IT! It's not too defined on the shaft and it has a nice curl at the end

Timeless Tarot with Nina: What an awesome hairstyle! Love the volume it created. :)

M A E L I N G: Hey guys! Forgot to add that this style was done on hair that was previously stretched out from a twist out. You can definitely try this on freshly washed hair too!

nappyroots215: so cute!!! love this!!! you are soooo my hair twin! length and texture (my hair may be a tad thicker)... I am soooo doing this style tonight!

Shante Frazier: This is absolutely lovely!!! I love it and can't wait to get my relaxed hair cut off, I'm just nervous about how I am going to wear it since Im in the military and styles are limited. Also, random question, where in Atlanta did you get your undergrad degree from?

theladybu: Love, love, love the style! How long did the entire process take?

DearEmma: Thank you for this hairstyle I think I'm going to try with twist instead of braid :) !!

ShazzieBe: Mae, you look very pretty with this style!

Tiffany Paige: I braid my hair the exact same way, it's funny to see everyone commenting on it. I never thought anything was wrong with it, it's efficient enough for me! Lol

Starr Foster: It looks amazing as always:-)

Ambi Nicole: That was absolutely gorgeous!

galactic: wow, your hair has gotten so long! i'm in a total style slump right now, so i'm pretty much in a state where i could use as many (style) tutorials as possible. awesome job here :)

potterylady1: Love this style!!!!

Miss. LeneyBean: I was not expecting it to look like this & I say that in a good way! I like that it was less defined because it was so full & sultry perfect for Valentine's day IMO! Do you mind doing a brief review on the Curls products (such as scale 1-10 overall and if you would buy the line or not?) The products smell SO GOOD but I have so many products I have to be more selective haha. Awesome vid, love your channel! Happy Valentine's Day!

Jazmine Carney: You make braiding look HARD!! Lolol.. Beautiful style!! I'm def gonna try this.. <3

NikaMcGuin: love the style :3 i probably would do it with twists though so the end curl wouldn't look so different from the rest. Its probably way more stretched with braids though.

TrishsMom: Love this!!! You look lovely! :)

Shae: I like it Mae!! Big and fluffy!!

DMORECURIOUSDMY: Mae, Mae, Mae! I liked the volume that you got from this style. I would love for you to do it again, but this time, allow it to dry properly, start with two or three strand twists instead of the braids and maybe you could use a product that will give you a little bit of hold especially at the ends. As usual you were smiling throughout... :-) :-) :-) If you do decide on doing this again in the same way, once it dries properly more of your creativity will come out in the style. Peace Mae.

Toi Adams: This style is really HOT! Thanks for sharing.

Yolanda6218: I love your nails, May! :-)

NAT: This is my favorite look

Anneka Tamara: nikki and KnottiKurl's videos are the best

TABLE TALK with ROBIN: Hi Mae. I love your vids. Have learned much from you ( I think my hair texture is similar to yours. Question, Is this style on fresh-washed or blown-out hair? Thx for your response. Robin

desert__climbergrl: I braid my hair like that too....it does take some time but that's the way I was taught.

sweetstarbabyy: Beautiful!

zheahra: Hey, Nikkimae!!!! Girl, you hair is looking good. Awh, get it now!!!! Hawtnesss!!!!

Jaxx ♡: Great video Queen!

Electric Jiggy Janet: Oh ok Mae I had a feeling you ran out of time. You're one of the best Youtube Naturals so it had to be something out of you control. But with a face as pretty as yours, you still ended up looking hot for your night out! Thanks for responding!

Ashley Morton: by the way, I noticed how pretty your nails are. How do you keep them so long and healthy?

Shantae Durden: You may get your desired result if you unbraid by braiding in the opposite direction. It is super easy and less manipulatuon leaves your hair very neat. If that explanation is unclear, email me and I'll send a video

sweetstarbabyy: Mae, do you routinely twist your hair when dry? Or wet?

M A E L I N G: totally agree! I was limited on the time, which is why I just worked with what I got : )

Crysta7969: Do you really like the tangle teezer? I heard that at first it's great but over time your hair develops more split ends

Jasmine Nichole Art A: fahck! i need my hair to grow like 6 more inches for it to look even remotely close to that... sigh. it looks really great and so thick!

laylakay: Nice, love the fullness!!

Kimberly Lewis: I cant wait to see how you do your hair for your wedding....are you going to style it or will you let someone? Do you think you will do a tutorial?

hollaanddecent712: its called a tangle teezer. u can buy it at sallys beauty supply.
