Here is a cute hairstyle for Valentine's Day! It takes 5 minutes to do, and will guarantee compliments from many on this holiday or any other occasion!

-Ok. We're going to do a Valentine's, hairdo today.. This is called the flip-through braided heart. And I have wet her hair down slightly. And then I have just parted just about her ear line, all the way around her head from ear to ear.. So it's maybe two thirds of her hair is in the top, and one third is down below., And now I'm going to take that hair and just comb it into a pony, tail. And the key to using a Topsy Tail or any time you do. The flip-through hairdos is just make sure that you do loose ponytails. The looser the ponytail, the less it's going to hurt your child.. So I'm just going to pull this rubber band back a little and you can see. I have at least a finger's width between they ponytail holder and her hair. And that's going to help. OK.. So normally, when you use a Topsy Tail, which is this little red tool, you stick it in going down.. Today, I'm going to reverse it., I'm going to stick it in going up., So it's backwards. And then you pull the hair into the little circle. And then you just pull the hair through. And the little Topsy Tail flips the hair for you.. My girls think that the Topsy Tail hurts a little less than me pulling it through with my fingers, but you can use your fingers. So now, at the top, I'm going to divide her hair in half.. Can you hold that sweetie Thanks. And I'm just going to form a braid with both sides., These Valentine hairdos? They get a lot of comments. They're, really fun when they're shaped. OK.. Can you hold that end? Thank you. So form another braid.. So you'll have two braids coming out the top.. My stomach keeps growling.. I haven't had breakfast yet this morning. OK. Hold that one for me. Babe. OK. Now take the rest of the hair and I'm going to wet it just a smidge so that it's --. I just think wetting. It helps keep the fly aways in a little bit better.. But if you prefer dry do dry., It doesn't make any difference. Gather it up into a ponytail at the bottom and then add the heart end in. And you can see it's going to shape and create your little heart. And you can kind of pull that up. A little, if you want. Then secure it with a rubber band., Then you can go back and just --. I like to just leave it.. But if you want a more dramatic heart, you can even bobby pin it out a little bit. And then I add a cute little red ribbon., Give it a little more Valentiney feel., A pink ribbon would work too. And there you have your braided heart.
