This is a very cute Valentine's Day hairstyle for girls of all ages, and it is really easy to do! It is a simple topsy tailed ponytail, divided into, slightly twisted and brought down to form a hanging heart. I promise you will get lots of compliments on this one!

Hi guys., So we're nearing Valentine's Day and we've decided to film some of our favorite Valentine hairdos. And this one is called Teen Hanging Heart.. I almost forgot the name of it.. This one is one we've done on the website before, but we've never filmed it.. So this morning we're going to shoot the video., So her hair last night was in braids., So I just have brush her hair out and it's just the curls from the braids left over and I thought it looked pretty so we're going to leave it that way. Today. And I've parted her hair on the left.. You can part it on either side just depending on where you want to part. Turn your head. This way, please.. Now I'm going to take my rat tail comb --! That'S a comb with this pointy metal, part on the end -- and I'm going to just divide a section of hair. That'S the shape of like a rectangle.. It doesn't have to be exact. Just a good one.. So when you've got your section of hair, then I'm going to take a clear elastic rubber, band., I'm going to wrap it around the hair., Pull it away from the head a little bit. So it's a little bit loose.! I'M going to take my small topsy tail., But you can use your fingers too. If you need to. And I'm going to go in backwards., So today, I'm going to take the end from bottom to top. Instead of the other way, around. Pull the hair through flip. It under and tighten it. So now you have is the little flip of the topsy tail, but it's heading up.. Now I'm going to divide that hair into two sections. And I'm going to take --. What I use is Garnier Fructis --. It'S called fiber gum. And it's basically just a molding sort of like pomade. Kind of feels like slime almost. And I'm going to run it down her hair strands. And when it dries it just hardens a little bit and it keeps the hair held together.. I'M going to do both strands. Doesn't take very much just a tiny bit.. You can use pomade to do this too. Or mousse.. Whatever you have on hand. Now, I'm going to shape my heart. Sorry honey. And when you've got the shape of your heart. Take another elastic and put it in., And this is going to tug on the heart when you initially put this in and that's OK. So put another elastic at the bottom. And then just take those two pieces and reset your heart. And there you go. And another Cute thing to do would be to put a little red ribbon at the bottom or a pink ribbon., Or you can just leave it plain. There. You have a cute hanging, heart. And just walk around school and everyone cannotice their Valentine's'do

alyssers: hey mindy! love this idea, I'm going to use it on my sister for valentines day! if you want to try a new way to get your daughters hair curly try putting mouse in their hair when it is wet and then french braiding it and leaving it over night. I've been doing it to my hair the past couple of days and I love it!

thelovelybandgeek: @mtrenchFTW3 not at all. i take two fingers and take a small amount and then put it into my palm and warm it up between both hands/fingers and then run it through the fresh curls. it also helps them loosen up a bit, but if i want tighter girls i scrunch it instead.

Awix42: You should try to part her chunk of hair in a V shape or upsidedown triangle then you wouldn't see the hair scalp through the heart it would give a much cleaner look.
