Vloggg | Trying New Curly Hair Products, Valentine Day Nails + Giveaway Winner :)

There'S a world inside my head, i get lost in me from time to time wow. So so me so do hello guys and welcome back to my channel and welcome back to another video i feel like i haven't, set up this dust for what feels like forever. Even though i you know do my work here most of the time, but i haven't vlogged here in a while ever since i got like that little suction situation, i just been enjoying doing my makeup and just getting ready by a window, and so we are back Sitting at my desk, i just had the best start to my day. Today is monday. We were away for the weekend. Luckily we left the house clean, so i didn't have to worry about cleaning this morning. It was just so nice to come home to a clean space and just resetting getting my mind right for this week. I had the ultimate self-care day today. I literally lasted about two hours in the shower and i know that's a little bit excessive, but i just had to have my knee time, like i literally completely detoxified myself, my hair my mind, my body, just everything was just so deserving and well needed because this Weekend the last stop we did was we went to the pool so after the pool. We just went straight home after that. You know you like rinse off in the shower, but i didn't like power and last night i was too tired to take a shower, so that sounds a little nasty, but chlorine was in my hair and on my body i literally showered like three times like i Scrubbed myself, i washed my hair, but it was just great, like i literally feel like i'm in the best mood possible. I am going to be doing the whitening strip, but i wanted to kind of fill you guys in on what the day is looking like for today. Like i said today's monday, even though it was just a weekend, you guys it literally felt like we were away for like a week and a half or something like time was going by so slow. It was so relaxing like it was the best and so much needed, so it is definitely safe to say i have the best birthday ever and i'm just so incredibly grateful to have a husband like him, so that literally set the tone for this week, and i Am overjoyed okay, i'm just overjoyed, so i wanted to do a couple of things with you guys today, i'm gon na be doing my hair. You guys that chlorine, my hair, has not seen or felt chlorine in over a year because last year i did not go to the pool or the beach like, not even once, and so i didn't realize, like how damaging chlorine is to your hair. Like literally my hair felt like hay and being that i didn't rinse it off and like it basically sat in my hair for a long period of time. I think that's why my hair was so so dry, so i had to do a repairing treatment and a moisturizing treatment and my hair feels so much better. I am going to do a wash and go, but i am going to re-wash my hair. I would say in like two days just because i do want to do another intense, deep conditioner under heat this time, because i took a long shower and exfoliated shaved all that good stuff. I was able to let those two sit in my hair for a long time, but he i feel like is always the best and just penetrates the shines better. So my hair feels soft, but it does have potential to be softer. I also want to make my husband a flan as a little thank you. He loves blanc, that's like his favorite dessert and it's been a minute since he's he's had one. So i think i have all of the ingredients to make one. So i am going to be doing that it's later on in the day, so i don't have like the entire day to like take my sweet time and do everything so the plan is, i am going to style, my hair, wet plop, make the flung and then I'Ll dry, my hair - i also have to edit a couple of videos that just didn't get to edit this weekend, just because apparently the lord was just like girl you're not working this weekend, so my computer was messed up. I lost footage. It was just hot mess. So i just put the laptop away and was like you know what i'm just gon na live in the moment and not work. So i did it, but now i have to so. I'M gon na go ahead and do that and of course bring you guys along with today's adventure. First things: first, i have to figure out what i'm going to use to style. My hair, i think i do want to layer today. I'Ve been doing a lightweight wash and go for the past. I would say a couple of weeks and i actually want something. That'S going to give me moisture. You know not that lightweight wash angles, don't give me moisture, but i feel like the moisture, leaves within like a day and then like the next day. My hair is not as like moisturizing what i mean okay, so i got oh, my god. It looks so crazy. My hair looks crazy, but i'm gon na be trying new products for this video. I'M gon na be using the texture id daily, moisturizing cream and then i'm gon na be pairing it up with the texture id curls styling custard. I haven't used any of these products before these are new products, so i'm excited to see how my hair is going to react with it. I'M also going to be styling with this paddle denman brush situation, because i don't know i want to try something different with styling, so i'm going to be speeding this up, because you guys already know how i style my hair. I will give you guys feedback on these products based on application. How my hair is going. Do i see frizz all that good stuff, so i'm gon na turn on some worship? Music. Listen to that indulge in that, while i style my hair. So so far, i'm not mad at the product combination or how my hair looks. I think i actually have to put a little bit of custard on this strand over here, because it's looking a little friendly, okay, better. The only feedback i would have to say is that the styling cream, the daily moisturizing cream, does feel really nice on my hands. But when i put it on my hair, i feel like my hair doesn't get moisturized. So i feel like that caused me to use a little too much product, because i kept going back for seconds in almost every section that i was applying the product to so that's the only thing it's just. It was a weird thing like in my hand, it was really thick and creamy, but on my hair my hair didn't feel like it was getting moisturized. That is my feedback on the styler. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how my hair dries in terms of the custard. I really like the custard. I don't feel like. I was heavy-handed with a custard which is nice. A little bit did go a long way. I was intentionally applying it in every section which i can see. I did a good job at doing that, because, literally not one hair has frizz on it, which is always a good sign when your hair is wet and there is no frizz that just shows that when you dry it, if you dry it properly, you're gon na Have a really nice and juicy wash and go so. I'M gon na take this cotton t-shirt that i have over here and i'm just gon na wet plop my hair and then we're gon na go do some blonde. So this is what my hair is looking like. Right now it is fully dry. I did go ahead and use some of the moroccan oil. What is this called moroccan oil treatment oil? This is what it looks like i sprayed some in my hand, i mean i pumped some in my hand and then i scrunched out the little crunch. Wasn'T really you know a cast, but i did use it to separate my curls as well. I do feel like i could separate just a tad bit more for a little bit more volume here on this side, but the curls are super defined and they look really nice and i'm surprised this is definitely more of like a lighter weight wash and go for The consistency of the cream, i thought my hair was going to be a little bit more like way down. I mean i kind of feel like i have to separate a little bit more. Let me separate some more just to get the full gaze of my hair because i feel like right now. It still looks a little too you know, and i want it to be a little bit more out. So i'm having a hard time trying to figure out parting situation, the middle part looks a little weird. I don't know why. I made myself a coffee, because the one i had this morning was not good. I think i'm gon na just clip the front, because i think it's just the front. That'S looking a little weird, because when i don't use the denman brush, i probably should have used the denman brush in the front of my hair. So i can get a little bit more shrinkage, but when i use just like my fingers or like a paddle brush, i don't have as much shrinkage. So i feel, like the front, looks weird so tomorrow i might refresh and use the demon brush, but for today i think i'm just gon na put a little clippy. I think this is so much better because i was not liking the way it was falling. So i just brushed the front of it - did like a little twist and left out the back so that we have kind of like a little hairstyle going on. But this is literally what i always do when i do a wash and go, and i don't like how the front kind of falls. It falls a little weird. I just do this and i'm good for a couple of days. I also made another cup of coffee, because the one that i had this morning did not taste good at all. I did not like it, i didn't drink it, and so here we are, we tried again and this one tastes so freaking good. So i think we are on the road to learning how to do iced coffee with like real coffee, because i was struggling for the longest. It is definitely an acquired taste because it is more watery, but adding less water. To my like coffee maker thing has definitely helped so so much. I am back and i just had a quick change of outfit because we had some visitors. So i'm back and i'm going to show you guys what i got in the mail and it's all hair products, so i'm going to show you guys, but first and foremost, i wanted to show you guys this hoodie. Are you kidding me how stinking cute is this? Hoodie - i don't remember where, like who gifted it to me, it wasn't a pr mail. I will look up all the information i'll put it on the screen. I also link it in the description box below, but it's a perfect representation of dominicans, which i love, because i'm dominican in case you didn't know, i'm 100 dominican and i love the rolos. I love the flag, it's just it's so beautiful. So i wanted to show you guys the little suction situation that i'm actually using right now. That'S why you guys are seeing more of the background. I actually have my camera suctioned to the window right now, so it lets me have more perspective, and it's been my favorite these past couple of weeks, especially for vlogging, so that i don't bore you guys and you guys get different perspective like the rooms, my home And all that stuff, which i thoroughly enjoy a switch in background, that's like my favorite thing. I always like to pay attention to people's backgrounds when i'm watching a video just because it shows their style, and so this little suction situation is actually this guy right here. I ordered a second one, because i have two different cameras that i use one that's more heavier and i got it on amazon and it looks like this. It holds up to a hundred pounds which is really promising, because my cameras are pretty heavy, so 100 pounds is a lot yeah. So i wanted to share that. I got it from amazon, so i will be linking it down below for you guys in case you want to vlog or put your camera on something else, uh other than a tripod, so you have more like flexibility. So this is the only thing. That'S not hair product related, but i thought it was worth mentioning because it's literally my latest obsession of all time like i love it so much. I took it on my trip with me and i was able to put it on the window and vlog. This next package is from ulta and i purchased these products myself. Oh my god, the box was wonderful. I purchased these myself, and this is from my favorite brand of deep conditioners, which is naughty. I have been raving about them for a while now, because my hair needed a hydrating conditioner, but i definitely will be using this. This is the naughty to the rescue, moisturizing, intense and moisturizing treatment. I love this so much. I'Ve been looking for this product for so long. I went to a couple cvs's trying to find it, and then i went on ulta's website and they have it in ulta. So i got three of them because i'm so extra and i can never just buy one thing - i always have to buy multiples. So i'm fully stocked with these treatments and they actually are stackable, which is really neat, and it's also a clean brand cruelty. Free vegan friendly it has no parabens, no sulfates and no silicone. So if you guys follow the curly girl method, this is going to be perfect for you, because it gives you all of the moisturization shine the moisture, curl bounce back that your hair needs. I can't read about it enough, like it's one of those deep conditioners, that you definitely need to have in your stash and then i also picked up the wave hello curl, defining taming cream. I did a video on this. I i believe it was early 2020 or ending of 2019. I had the best wash and go just by using their leave-in and this styling cream. Literally my wash and go lasted me a good five days no refreshing. My curls were super defined i'll, put like a picture right here or like a video of my curls using this product but girl. I am absolutely obsessed with it and i love it so much so. I did restock on that. Oh here it is. This is the yeah. This is actually the leave-in conditioner that i used to style. My hair, i think the wave hello is the xylem cream yeah. I think i used that one too. I think it was the leave-in and the styling cream that i used together and my results were to die for so i did restock on that. I haven't used this in a while because i didn't have any so. I bought two of each the curling cream and the leave-in. I haven't bought products from so tentacles and i would say, over a year and a half i think, i'm lying. I bought some products in the fall. Now that i remember, i bought some products in the fall, like their fault collection i bought. I can't believe it's not pumpkin, but ever since then i haven't purchased from tentacles and i saw they came out with a new line or like new products. So i wanted to test it out because i love me so tentacles they're, just so good, so i had to stock up on some of their newbies. This is the soul. Tanaco'S rice, vitamin healthy hair milk got two of those just in case. I really liked it because botanicals inventory you want. Sometimes you know if you buy something - it's probably not going to be in stock. The next time you check. So i got to just in case and then i got the hair to the rescue. Afrovedic not go clay play co-wash, so this is a co-wash from so tentacles. I don't think they've ever had a co-wash before i was like what i need to try it. So i got that and then last but not least, i got the can't believe. It'S not butter brow and twist out from the rice water line as well. That is what i got from zotanical and i'm excited to use all of these products, probably next wash day, definitely use the naughty, and i want to try out the hair milk with the styling cream. I'M excited to do that as a wash and go so definitely stay tuned for that, because i will be using it sometime this week when it's time to redo my hair. So that is enough for all of the new hair products that we're going to be using. In 2021, hey guys, okay, so it's actually a couple of days later. Well, not really a couple days just two days later today is wednesday. Yesterday i didn't vlog at all, i mean: what are you doing? This guy is trying to bite my nails. Look at this say hello, say: look how big i've gotten sam's such a big boy, now see. Look how big! I am you big boy. This guy has no respect he climbs on my desk. He climbs on the dining table. He has no respect, oh yeah. So yesterday i didn't vlog at all, because i wasn't doing much literally just spent the day editing and then i did my nails because i was doing a live with julia like we did a valentine's day theme hairstyle situation. I had like kind of like fresh girls, so i should have planned my week better because if i would have not had fresh curls, i would have probably been a little bit more intentional with my hairstyle, but i didn't want to mess up the curls. So i just did some twisties in the front and i took it off and now i just put this like. Luckily, the curls are still intact tomorrow. I'Ll probably have to like refresh a little bit. If i want like to rock the front, but i think they look pretty good the reason i'm mentioning the live is because, because the live was valentine's day theme, i wanted to do my nails like valentine's day, and i am so obsessed with the way my nails Came out, hopefully, the camera is focusing on them, but i think they look so pretty simple. Yet pretty i wanted to do the little red french manicure i've seen people do the red tips, but i wanted to do it slightly different by like doing it at an angle, instead of like your traditional across the entire nail, and so that's what i did and I'M like inspired to do this all the time by like adding a pop of color and like doing things differently, or maybe like layering colors. This is a dip powder manicure, which is what i only do now. I tried poly gel, not a fan but dip powder and the gel method. I can do my nails in under and in about an hour and a half ish. I just didn't film it which i should have filmed it, because, honestly, it was more like a try and error. I wasn't sure how it was going to come out and typically when i do my nails, i'm in like my zone like doing my nails, is very therapeutic for me. So i know you guys want to see how i do my nails and i do have videos that i've done in the past before i'll link. My nail video down below. I just do a different technique now, which i think works better for me, but for the most part it's the same concept. Now i feel, like i mastered the solid color manicure now i want to start getting into designing and doing like minimal, yet super aesthetic, looking nails so i'm gon na be working on that for 2021 and we're sticking to almond shaped nails. It'S super trendy in 2020 and i see it's carrying over to this year and i love it. I wish i would have done almond shaped nails before it's just hard to like master the shape comment down below what you guys wear. Do you wear your nails, squared or rounded or almond shaped? I wanted to mention the five minute journal, which you guys have already seen me post about it earlier in the video, but the five minute journal was something i've seen circulating so much on youtube and instagram, and i finally decided to give in and give it a Shot and i love it - 2021 has been a year where i started to journal. I bought myself a journal and i just write my thoughts on paper and not necessarily so much my thoughts. I do it more as in like a written prayer, that's kind of how i've been doing it and i like it. It'S helped me so much, but now i'm adding something else to my routine, and i do like this. I'Ve done it for a couple days now and i just have to stay consistent. I also have a planner here that helps me keep myself on track. I did digital planning a lot last year and for some reason this year i kind of wanted to get a little bit more artsy, more hands-on, and i love markers love just like the whole. I decided to write down what i have to do for the month and stuff like that, so i'm getting back into doing that so in honor of valentine's day this month.
