Hey guys in this video I'm going to show you how to do this cute and sweet heart braid. This hairstyle will work on medium to long hair and it's really easy to do so. If you know how to do a basic 3 strand, braid, then you're ready to go since we will be using hot tools, you want to apply heat protectant all over your hair brush it out and wait a few minutes for it to dry to keep this hairstyle. Looking nice, I'm going to straighten my hair first, so I'm going to use my nume megastar flat iron. This flat iron comes in many different colors. I chose hot pink because it's perfect for Valentine's Day and for this hair tutorial. But aside from being cute, it works really well, it has turbulent and ceramic plates and it also has a digital temperature setting. That goes all the way up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Next, I'm going to run the flat irons down the mid section of my hair, and what this will do is it will smooth out that area and eliminate flyaway. Now that your hair is straight, you want to grab a chunk of hair in the area above your ears and divide it into three equal sections. Next, create a three strand: braid, that's about six inches in length and tie it with an elastic band. Now, leave about a two inch gap between the braids and pick up another section of hair at the same level and about the same amount divide it into three equal sections and again do a regular three strand braid. When you tie off the second braid, make sure that it's at the same level as the first braid, otherwise your heart won't look symmetrical to create the heart. You want to grab the first braid and you want to press it against your head and turn it clockwise. So this is basically half the heart, and once you have it in a shape like this, you want to secure it with a bobby. If your bobby pin is showing the no worries - because you can always fix it later - just pin it in place and do the exact same thing on the opposite side, but this time you're going to wrap it around counterclockwise. Now you want to close your heart by connecting the ends together and tying it off with another elastic band. Finally, remove the two previous elastic bands and feel free to fix your heart braid, so that all the bobby pins are concealed. You could wear this braid with straight hair, but I'm going to curl the ends to make it look more romantic to curl your hair with a flat iron. You want to turn the flat iron 360 degrees then run it down. If you want to type a pro, you want to run it down slowly, but if you want a loose curl, you might want to do it at my speed again, you want to put your hair in between your Flatiron turn, it 360 degrees and when you turn It 360 degrees the unship, stick right back out, so you want to grab. It then run your front iron down.
