Easy Little Girl Hairstyle | Valentines Day + Heart Part Hair

Quick style switch up this week into a heart-part hairstyle with twists. Took me about 20-25 minutes to do this and it should last 4-5 days w/o any touch ups.

I am styling her hair while it is dry because it is much easier to work with— but styling wet work too!

After a few days- I will unravel the twists for a twist out.

In this video, i'm going to show you guys how i did this heart part hairstyle with twist. There is no braiding required and start to finish. It took me about 20 minutes, so her hair is already clean, dry and stretched and i parted it in half front half and back half. Then i start by making a v for the back half, because that's where i'm going to do the heart i do suggest making the v part go down more because at the end of my hairstyle i felt like the v part or the part at the top Of the heart didn't come down far enough, so after i round out the edges of the v, i'm going to make a larger v connecting each end of the top part of the heart. This portion probably took longer than any other portion of this hairstyle just because it takes a while to get the parts nice and straight and even on both sides. I made sure that i took my time and didn't rush through this, because i really wanted to make this heart stand out after i was decently happy with how the heart looked, i put it in a bun and then i soon figured out that i actually wasn't Happy with how it looked on one side, you'll find that um many times when doing parts. If you put a portion of that in a ponytail or in a tighter section, it might change how the part looks so just adjust accordingly, but it doesn't have to be perfect now in this back part. I wanted to just do little twists up, but i figured out that my hair was a little bit too thick for this, so instead of doing just a little twisty where i just twist the hair in itself, i ended up doing a two strand flat twist. If you're not familiar with the difference between the two, i can make a video on that, but you do not have to do a two strand twist. If the hair is not super thick, you can just do a little twisty like a single twist. A braid will also work, but i really wanted to keep this hairstyle braid free because i'm always doing braids, and so i really like the simplicity and i think twists - can look a little bit more elegant sometimes so that was the look i was going for. If you've watched several of our videos, you'll know that i usually do make a small part in the front or at the beginning of the twist or braid. This just helps keep it look really neat, and i also do small sections, i'm grabbing with my fingers parting. It across adding it to the flat twist. This gives it that stitched look where you can sort of see on either side the parts going into the flat twist anytime, i'm braiding or twisting upwards. I make sure to clip a part of the hair off to the side and i'm taking off that clip whenever i am ready to do that portion. This just keeps the hair from getting really mixed up, and it also makes sure that you're grabbing and twisting in the right portion like you're, not um, starting to grab hair too far along on the twist now, i am smoothing all of the hair up into a Ponytail making sure that the ponytail is not too tight. Now i am going to add about eight or nine twists to this top portion of the ponytail. I'M not doing it any exact way, just parting out a piece of hair and making sure to try to make all the parts a similar size. I do like to brush the hair as i'm doing the twist. This makes sure that it is nice and smooth with no lumps and bumps, and it also makes a twist out much prettier looking and there's dad he came in to brush his teeth. I still have to do twists in the back part uh. The heart part that i put into a bun, i did accidentally delete those clips of the video, but it is the same as what i did in the front. I did way less twists in the back just because there was less hair in the back, but i am really happy with how this turned out. The heart doesn't look perfect, but overall maya loved it. So i loved it - and this will last about i'd, say five days with no touch-ups. You could also switch up the style by putting the top portion into a bun. You can add clips or bobbles maya did not want any bows or clips, but she liked the bun, and i do plan on doing a twist out for the last day or two of this hairstyle making different silly faces. All right. Can i finish this one. Let me do that real quick, thank you for watching
