Welcome back you guys, for the last time, I'm filming in 2016, but the very first video of 2017, and today, I'm bringing you the top 10 best short hairstyles of 2016 from my channel. So the very first one is definitely the most highly requested and talked about in my channel. You guys always ask, even though I actually filmed it, it was actually my very first video that I filmed horrible haha. It is pretty bad, so it's basically how do I curl my hair with a strainer? Of course you will need a hair straightener, not a curling iron, but here's a quick tip if you have sure to her than mine or even just short, hair like this. It'S actually easier to curl your hair with a stringer rather than curling iron. I promise it's a lot easier, especially the hair is in the back. So this is a GHD, platinum, hair styler in white. This one is incredible because it's very preventative to breaking and damaging your hair, just because the highest heat setting it goes up to, I think, is about 360 or 365 Fahrenheit. I will link everything down below. This is a really really great one. I love this one and you will need some heat protectant and that's about it. Maybe a comb or something to brush your hair out. You guys ready for the difficult part of this tutorial. I'M telling you. I warned you it's really hard. You grab your heated straightener and also this one, a perk heats up within like two seconds great, and no I'm not sponsored. I just love it so much so what you do is you grab a section of hair and hold it with my opposite hand, which is left and then once I my right hand, I'm taking the straightener downwards, so I clamp it down. With my with my hand, I assist it and I twist the straightener going away from my face. You can do it once or you can do it twice just like so and let go you see that so I'm grabbing another section this time I'll show you even slower. You grab the straightener, you take it downwards. You clamp it you twist it away once twice. Then you bring it all the way down, it does a job for you, it's a lot faster than a curling iron, but I think it's a little bit more damaging than a curling iron, just because you're clamping all of your hair through the straightener, but the results Are gorgeous it takes you like twice as fast than a curling iron. Alright, it's the next section. I usually like to do this in three to four sections. Just because I want to make sure all of my hair gets the love it deserves, and this usually takes me, I would say, maybe like five to seven minutes, not even because it's so fast, I'm doing exact same thing and the layer up above. But this time I'm going to start alternating the curls. It'S always the hair in the front. It'S going away from the face, so this one I'm gon na, do it towards my face. So the same thing same technique, clamp it down, but I'm taking it towards my face. Very oh for the very last section of hair. I like to start it about like 3/4 of the way down 3/4 of the way down 3/4 of the way up, and just take it away from my face just like that. That way, I'm not really disturbing the root section of the front and then I'll wait for all the curls to set a cool off, and then I go back in with my fingers. Not a brush and just kind of messy it up a little bit and separate the curls and literate. How much it's very simple usually takes me five to seven minutes and these curls last a very long time like throughout the day, the next day, the day after that, unless it's extremely humid, then nothing lasts next, most requested and most loved is the milkmaid braid, whereas The milkmaid come from what is that first thing you want to do is split your hair right down the middle, because you want to equal sections for the braids, so you're going to take it from the front all the way to the very back of your head. Alright, so for the milkmaid braid, you can use any braid that you want, but I always stick with a Dutch braid, because I think it's the most beautiful texture that it gives for this particular hairstyle get a section from the very front I'm going to divide it Into three sections, so a Dutch braid is where you take the section underneath the middle, the outer section just like that underneath and now we're going to start adding hair. So one more time underneath so before you switch over the suburban start. Adding here and I like to take smaller sections at first when I start off the braid and add it right to the middle, tighten it underneath hold and we're going to start. Adding hair from the middle part so grab a section of hair and add it to the middle clean it up and tighten. So you see that one more time underneath add hair from underneath the braid cuz. There'S no hair on the side, so we're taking here from underneath and adding it to the middle clean it up. Let go take the outer section underneath and Ed hair from the side of the from the side of the pad just high from the side of the braid, so grab a section of hair and underneath and continue doing this. Your middle party line is going to be your guide line of where you have to grab the hair and the milkmaid. I like to keep it close closer to my actual frame of the face and when you have no more hair left to add just braid it to as much as you can down and repeat, do exactly the same thing. On the other side and, like I said, the parting line is what really helps me figure out where the braid is going to go, because I can't really see where I'm grabbing the hair from the back. So I kind of feel around to where the parting line is that's. Why I like to take this hair and pin it up, so I will also bring it over to the other side. Oh yeah Pippi Longstocking. If you know how to braid, it is ridiculously easy because you don't have to be precise or perfect, because it's one of those hairstyles that's supposed to look very effortless but still put together. So what I'm going to do now, I'm gon na pull apart this braid. Just a little bit, I don't want it to be too crazy, thick or big. I want the braid to be a little bit more distinguished. Let'S put it that way, you can actually leave the braids like this. I sometimes do it's really cute, but what I like to finish it off and actually make it the milkmaid braid. I just take the ends and crisscross them in the very back kind of in the middle of the back of my head and just pin them down with bobby pins and there we have it for the milkmaid braid. I love this one, especially for like everyday workouts, because this stays in place and I've actually slept with this hairstyle many countless times in the morning. It'S still just as good right babe. It'S amazing proof'less hairstyle. The first thing I'm going to do is create a little pompadour in the front. Papa door is a little bump just to give volume to the front of my face like right here. That'S what I want to have, so you can use a little bit of assistance. This is the pompadour comb. This one is incredible: it's it's really really good actually or you can just do it on your own, just like how I usually do it, and this teasing brush is amazing. I will have everything linked in the description box. There we go. It'S nice and tight, spread my hair out and then we're going to bring it over the comb you see like does a job for you, so for the faux hawk or the full braid. All you have to do is kind of, like your French braiding, your entire hair down the middle, so first you're gon na grab a section right below the little pompadour we're going to meet them up the top in the middle. Just like so, and we're going to tie it off with a clear elastic, we're going to do one more ponytail right behind it, make sure you're going to use a little hair clip just to clip the hair away, I'm going to grab a section right behind it. As close as possible to it and tie that section off as well, let go the first one. You take the very first ponytail and you split it right in half and bring the ponytail right behind it towards the front. So you see that it's going right through the middle hold it like this in the middle. Take this ponytail and clip clamp it down. So you take this these two sections and you bring them towards the back. We'Re going to grab another section and we're going to include these two sections right here with this section that I'm creating right now, so it creates a one big section. So you see these two sections are included with this section. You take all of it together and you tie it down with a clear elastic. So once it's tied down we're going to do the same thing, split it down the middle and now because we don't have a ponytail in the back. We'Re going to take this one! That we pinned away and the from the front we take it and we bring it towards the back. Just like so, and then these two school it will bring them towards the front. So this one becomes, the back portion now grab a section and include that ponytail tie it off with a clear elastic, so I'm just going to continue doing this until I have no more hair left to add. So this is where it kind of looks, really boring. Once it's completely tied off altogether - and this is where or when the magic happens, my favorite part you're, going to start pulling apart. The full braid on the very outer portions of the little sections that we just created just like a regular braid. And this is what it looks like when the fulbright is pulled apart and I feel like every section, it'll kind of looks like a little heart. I love it alright, so you have this little part right here, a little tail right here, I'm going to you can leave it like that or what I like to do actually like to roll upwards and hide it underneath of the hairstyle and just clip it away With a couple of mini bobby pins and to finish it off, this is totally optional. I'M going to add a little bit of sparkle right here, because I feel like it's missing something. This is from Nordstrom I'll. Have it linked down below what I do? Take the two little prongs and just shove them right in and there you have it for my third short hairstyle. It'S definitely one of my top ten I've worn this hairstyle countless times throughout this year, and I always always get compliments whenever I wear this. So this next one is definitely a hairstyle that I go to when I want something extremely extremely simple, but still very pretty very feminine and something out of my face and up so this one, I'm using the double headband. I get this one at Walgreens and this isn't the only place I've ever seen them from Walgreens, it's very, very nice. It holds on very, very tight because it has like this rubber on the opposite side that holds onto your hair, so it doesn't slip to all the day at all over my neck first and I'm going to make sure to bring it all my hair going towards The back and then I take this hair right here. That'S right! Next to my ears and you're, just going to take you behind make sure my headband is underneath all of my hair in the back bring it up. This is great kind of like sucks in your face. If you want like that, Botox look and then I just bring the second one towards the back. These have changed my life. These are the little twist ease the screws I like to call them from my hair. My hair screws I'll split it right in half kind of like a updo like a hack up two, and this is not supposed to be perfect whatsoever - just mess it up whatever you want to do, and just kind of give it like a little twist one two, Then just bring it around, so I just take two bobby pins and I just secure it in the back. So then, what I do for the lower portion of my hair - I split it into two sections and actually just kind of twist it in a way bring it up to the little mini, bobby, pin and secure like that and screw it in and then do the Exact same thing on the other side twist a little bit and bring it to the opposite side. Basically, crisscross them in the back, and it just creates something very pretty and it looks like you took a very long time to do, but yeah it's still messy and yet it's very, very pretty and feminine and girly. So number five is going to be a crazy one, but it's definitely one of my favorites, obviously because it made it into this video and it's the really crazy full hawk. That is ridiculously easy. What I'm gon na do is create a mini pompadour right in the front. I don't want it too big. My big, I mean wide. I don't want to take it too wide. I'M just gon na take a little section in the front and give it a little tease and then just pin it back with bobby pins. Just like the faux hawk we're going to grab sections from the very front and bring them towards the top make sure you smooth down the sides, take your clear elastic and tie it off once all of it through and then the second time we're going. To put it halfway through so you're going to tie it off like so let me kind of like a half ponytail top, not looking thing we're going to exact same thing. Put it once all through and then take about halfway and tie it off like so so. You'Ll get like a half top nut. You want to make sure you keep them in the same row going down. So I'm going to continue doing this. You guys it's this simple, so I have a total of six sections. Now, let's start paying them together. So all you do to connect them and to create that really crazy. Looking fo Hawk, is you take the section from underneath and the section from up top and you just connect them. One two take them both together and just to your scalp, and all you have to do is just play around with the shape and size that you want to create, with your faux, hawk and just be creative. That'S why I love this one every single time. I do it it's slightly different than the previous one to make an even better transition take out the bobby pins from the pompadour, because the hair is already nice and tight, because it's pulled in right here. Take it out kind of puff it up even more. To give it you a more dramatic look in the front and there we have it for the very dramatic knotted faux hawk love it love it so much. It feels good when you do this feels very funky. So number six is going to be a really awesome. When I loved wearing this one in the summer honestly, all year round, is the double braided like upside down top knot. So I have actually decided I'm going to do a single top knot, because I've been loving the double lately and I want to change it up. A bit it's basically the same concept with a double as well, so I'm just going to grab all of this. This is going to be for the top net, so I'm just taking this hair and I'm pinning it away for now. So what you want to do, is you bend over you'll flip your head over and make sure you're brushing hair going towards the top of your head? So your hair doesn't have any crazy bumps and you can do any bridge you want. You can do a Dutch braid, fishtail braid, a French braid. I chose for the Dutch braid just because I like the texture and the definition and dimension it gives to the actual whole hairstyle. So what you do is you grab a section of hair from the very bottom of your head, which is your neck grab, a small section divide it into three and go underneath the middle portion and then start adding hair from each side of your head from your Ear then you make sure you go all the way to the very top or where you parted the line to begin for your mini top knot to the very top once your brain is complete, we're going to take apart this top section and you can do whatever You want so grab your hair and then make sure you incorporate the braid into the top nut from underneath I'm going to tie it off first with a clear elastic and then I'm going to do a little twist around and secure it down with another clear elastic Right, on top of it, just one select that and then go back over and just kind of start picking it apart it to create the desire, type and size, and then I'm going to just pin it all down with bobby pins. This one is perfect for shorter hair. If you like that top knot look, but you can't get this shorter, hair right here. Look. The lower layer is up bright, it that's the solution, it is gorgeous. It'S very girly and it's up out of your face number seven. Is probably Andres what top one of the top favorites top favorites? It'S very very pretty. I think it's a very romantic, so this one we're going to do the double french braided updo, since all of the hair is involved. So what I'm going to do is create a nice low or very deep parting line on my right side. It'S my baby hairs work with me, divide it into three sections and we're going to bring the sections over the middle. The outer sections, so one hold over the middle so now we're going to add hair, I'm going to drop it. Take a section hold it to clean it up and bring it over the middle. Do the same thing. On the other side, I'm going to hold this one, because I'm dealing more hair back here, drop it grab the section of hair and bring it over the middle so make sure you bring your braid like towards the back, I'm actually going to switch my hands for This hold it, i braided my hair going towards the back look around my neck and then I met my braid in the middle and then without adding any hair. I just finished braiding it off, because I want to have some hair left over for my right side. As well, so I'm going to do the same thing: braid it with a French style braid or you can do something crazy. Do like a Dutch braid on the other side or a fishtail braid, whatever you want, get crazy with it. So now what we do is we're going to pull apart the braid as messy and as crazy as we can from the front and want a lot of volume happening right here, especially the bigger braid. So, let's pull it apart once both braids are pulled apart and it looks messy and crazy. That'S how we like it we're going to take this braid right here, the bigger one that has a lot more fullness and we're going to pick it up towards. On top like behind this little one right here, I'm going to bend the little ponytail or the very end portion of the break into the braid behind it and pin it with a bobby pin and then take this braid right here. That'S leftover! We'Re going to take it underneath the first one and do exact same thing, pin it into the braid and then just go back and just pull apart. The hair and the braid just to kind of make everything more uniform and there we have it for the double braided French updo. I love this one. It'S very pretty very feminine and very romantic. Number eight eight is going to be the double braided Dutch braids. I love this one. It makes me look so sporty and edgy. I love it. It'S amazing. So what you want to do is you want to have equal sections for each braid, so you just want to divide it right in Z, meted from the front to the back of your neck, the back of your neck to the back of your head. So I'm grabbing a small section kind of at a diagonal and divide it into three. Just like a regular braid for a Dutch braid, we're going to take it underneath the middle, without adding here underneath and as we're going to start adding hair taking sections underneath grab a section here, pulling it up and bring it underneath, and I'm always keeping the braid Going towards the back of my head and let's do exactly the same thing on the second one you're, basically just following the guideline that we created or that you created by creating that middle part. So, let's just kind of give it a nice little diagonal going from the front to the back of your head, so go is kind of at a diagonal which is my favorite part. Alright. So that's what it looks like when they're, both braided they're, nice and tight, makes me feel very sporty and powerful next one a box, something right now: boy, laughs! Aha, I don't know if that was, you can keep them nice and tight and sporty. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to pull it apart, just a little bit to make it a little bit more. Sometimes I can't see what I'm doing the back and it's a little bit crooked. What you got to do, pull it apart, a little bit here and there and just fix the unevenness unevenness yes yep and there you have it for the double dutch braids. I like to keep the top nice and sleek and tight for the braids and then slightly loosen them just a little bit going about halfway down. You can actually, you can roll them up the little ends that are sticking out to hide them or you can leave them down. Like I am aggressive number. Nine is obviously a headband, a braided headband of some sort, because I love my head bands that are braided. It is so simple, but yeah. It'S very. It looks a very intricate and looks like you actually tried really hard when in fact, really didn't first, I'm going to do is section off my hair, for where I want the headband to be so. I don't touch the rest of the hair, so we're going to grab a section of hair right above the ear we're going to split it into two since we're doing the twisted headband so right in two you're going to take the section you're going to twist them. The opposite way, so the outer sections going away and the front section is going towards the face. So what you going to do is just twist them. So the suburban start, adding hair we're only heading here to the first section, that's closest to the face so grab section of hair and add it to this front section and you're, always always holding the back one, give it a twist towards the face and we're going To give it a twist, stop add some hair to the front twist, give it a twist and bring it upwards and just continue doing this you're, always adding hair to the front section, give it a twist towards the face once or twice or three times twist them Together, once you get to the other side of the ear just twist a little bit more and just tie it off with a clear elastic, I'm not going to take it all the way down and then we're going to take the headband and we're just going to Pin it back with a bobby pin into the hair great right and it's so easy, and this one is so cute. I love that it's so simple, but yeah. It'S very, very, very pretty Nadella reminds me of very country s cuz. It has like the rope. I don't know, I don't know it's it's key. Oh it's cute. Let'S just put it that way and it's simple roller all make sense. Right and last but not least, I love incorporating my hair bands or headband with a very simple French twist. You guys know. I love those definitely has a really special place in my heart because my mom used to wear French twists all the time as I was growing up. So maybe that's why I've inherited this love French twists. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to grab the hair kind of into like a ponytail make sure the hair is all going towards the back if you have shorter hair than I do what I used to do, because it was too short to Put in a ponytail, I would just do a half updo with the French twist. So those are so pretty you guys what you can do once you have. The ponytail is you're, going to make a little twist going up once twice three times, you're going to have this little hair sticking out right here from the ponytail. Take your hair clip and just take it to a hair clip and bring it towards the side, and there you have it for the very simple French twist. This one is so cute. I always get so many compliments because it looks very pretty and very feminine. I don't know how many times I said feminine pretty cute adorable, simple, pretty beautiful, I mean they all are, let's admit it, and this concludes the best hairstyles of 2016.
