So basically, I told her that I wanted to keep my sideburns right and I also told her that I wanted to be able to still like to cut it down course, but still be able to. Somebody is finally going to be getting a haircut. I made an appointment to cut my hair today. Finally, because I just feel like my hair is pretty dead, it's pretty thin and it just needs a new shape, so I booked an appointment with salon shade. I found her on Instagram she's in Toronto. Her her Instagram is Siobhan your stylist I'll just leave it right here, but anyway I got the kids ready. I had to bring the kids to my mom's house so that she can watch the kids. While I get my hair done and then yeah. So I'm gon na take you guys, along with me, I'm gon na cover as much as I can and yeah. I just want to show you guys like how I got my hair cut and maybe I'll I'll tell you guys like how what I explained to the stylist about how my Hollie want my hair cut. I don't normally do actual pictures, but, like I'll tell you so yeah come along with me all right. So, let's go. Are you guys all ready? Yes, hi Cassie hi mommy Mike hi, Mikey? Okay, let's go the first thing we did was based around my hairline and my ears, so this is um. The base is going to protect my scalp and my skin from the relaxer when it's time to relax right now she is pre cutting my hair because we're going to relax the sides so her cutting my hair at this point is just going to save on the Amount of product she's going to have to use, I believe and yeah, so I think she's gon na require her to use less product, basically, if anyone's a stylist just comment below why I'm stylist, like the pre cut before relaxer. I think that's the main point, though so yeah, so we are not doing a full relaxer today, where we did a partial relaxer and a partial relaxer is a lot better, because the hair on the top, I miss a part that doesn't get relaxed, but it causes For more volume and more body in the hair and then obviously the part, that's getting relaxed, it's gon na look more laid, and you know more selecting more fresh, and on top of that, I already relaxed my hair about three weeks prior. So it wasn't too bad. It wasn't like it was dying to be relaxed, so you know it just wasn't completely necessary the relaxer that she used. It was a firm. I saw her use a firm. I'Ve never used it before, but I know it is a good relaxer. It'S like a professional brand, so you know she has good products that you know. It'S really good. You know makes me feel confident about the products that she's using in my hair - and you know it's not gon na, be some cheap, cheap stuff. You know yeah but yeah, so so she's going ahead with the partial relaxer I once she put it through my hair. She did comb it through. So that's something that I do as well at home. So he put the relaxer on the hair and then you just kind of lightly comb everything through after it was combed through. I sat for an additional about five to seven minutes until you know, there's liver tingle, but not to the point where I'm dying, but she did have a timer so that helped and now I'm just rinsing out the relaxer, the person who's renting out my relaxer she's, Not the stylist, it seems, I think, she's her assistant. She could be a stylist, but I'm just not sure so she could. She was more like her styling assistant, so yeah. She was really good. She was really friendly. She was really professional. I like that, and also she has hands from God when she was washing. My hair, I was literally like I was like melting away. I don't know if it's, because no one's touched sculpting a long time, but it felt so good if I could drool. I probably would, but my eyes were rolling to the back of my head and I even had to comment till I heard all that so much. I couldn't keep it in like if I did not tell her how good the head, massage felt I'd be a hater because I was like who so anyway, I washed up she's washed up the relaxer, I'm pretty sure she used neutralizing shampoo. She washed my hair about three to four times in total, so it mostly been a combination of neutralizing shampoo and most likely a moisturizing shampoo after, but I'm not completely sure. So, don't quote me on it. I couldn't really see what was going on yeah, and so once she put, she put some conditioner in and she used the brush to kind of brush it through that felt really good on my scalp as well. I can't lie so yeah that felt really really good. I had to compliment her like i should have just got. Shoulda gave her a tip, because that was one of the best parts of my salon experience, but anyway, the next thing I did was color my hair. I used a jet-black, I'm. I think it was a semi-permanent color, I'm not too sure I didn't ask. I all I said was that I wanted to do a rinse, but I hope hopefully he was with an understanding that it was semi-permanent. But if not it's okay, I mean I just need to be more careful when I'm relaxing, because I know like permanent color and relaxer. Don'T mix don't mix well, but whatever it was, it was really dark. It was like super strong super staining. So that's how it looked when I was applying the color and I did go under the dryer with going to the heat for about. I think it was like 15 minutes 20 minutes yeah. So I washed that out and now the stylist she's just actually cutting my hair, like I guess it's called a wet cut. I don't know I need to learn. I think I want to learn how to cut short hair, but anyway she's cutting it while it's wet and yeah. So that's what's going on right now. I know I told her that I wanted to keep my sideburn, so she was very like she was making sure that she absolutely didn't cut but cut it. I can tell she's, particularly she combed it out. She moved it out the way and she kind of cutting around it sounds like. Yes, I've had an experience where I asked to keep my sideburns and the stylist caught it by accident, because she didn't really keep that in mind. So she was very aware that I wanted my sideburns, so I thank you for that Siobhan. If you're listening so yeah she's just cutting away, we were probably having like a short conversation about most likely social media and Instagram, and I think I was talking about her daughter. Her daughter was so well behaved. I was so surprised because I usually kids, her age they're, all over the place, they're running up and down they're nagging, but no her daughter. It was pretty good. So I was impressed by her anyway we're wrapping with here now she used a lot of buddy coconut oil wrapping lotion and it's not really good and obviously gave me a good wrap. So I live. I really like that. I might actually try it myself. I think she normally uses uses Nairobi. We I think she mentioned that I'm not too sure, but I think that's something that we were discussing. She was Nairobi, but I guess she didn't have any so she ended up using the laughter body, which was perfectly fine. I like that as well, so I asked for my part to be on the opposite side so because I wanted on the opposite side on the left side, because I wanted my part on the left side. She actually wrapped it on the opposite side. So apparently, when you part it and wrap it on the side that you don't wear it on, it causes for a better style. You kind of just flip it back over, so hope that makes sense, anyways I'll, explain in another video if it doesn't but yeah. So she used wrap strips the mega wrap strips, so these are the ones I use at home as well, and she used two pieces of those to wrap my hair and yeah. So that's you know pretty much the gist of what's going on right now I did go under the dryer for a while. You know how the salon goes. You need to go under, make sure your wrap is dry and because not causes for a better rap. Okay. So hair was dry now so, as you can see, she's coming my hair to the opposite side of of where she molded it of how she molded it because she was explaining that it causes for a better fall like it falls better see like even at this Point I was like you know I can literally get up and go and I'll be fine right now, like I just look, I love the rap and the rap and the coma looks really good, just like that, so, but obviously there's some more cutting. That needs to be done, but and and styling of course, so she's just cleaning up the cut a little bit more there isn't much to do. I was I was pretty happy with the shape, which is why I'm doing these weird ass faces, but yeah she's. Just you know doing her thing cutting. I think I was trying to convince her that you know I could go just like this, because really I was kind of in a rush. I should have set my appointment a little bit earlier. I had to go to my sister's birthday, my niece's birthday party, but that's my problem, not hers. So yes, she's combing it and she's cutting she's not doing too much, because the shape is already there from the pre-cut and from the wet cut as well. So it wasn't too much that was required and, as you can see, she's still continuing to be mindful of my sideburns. She did end up cutting some down a bit because it was kind of sick and she she used a razor comb at one point to kind of just thin it out, so that it wasn't too chunky or too bulky and also like for the back. We we didn't use so much. We didn't use like a clipper to outline it too much, especially at the bottom. I wanted a softer like a soft cut, not such a not such a sharp cut at the back. I don't know if I'm explaining it properly, but she did outline the side of like the sides at the back a little bit, but not so much at the bottom. If that makes sense, yes, so yeah, so she's, just cutting away, obviously doing her thing so that you can see here that she's, just using the outliner just to do the sides and very lately not to like not to defined, is still one. I still wanted it to look soft, okay and now she's just started she's just um, flattening my hair. It looks like it's a pencil flat. I especially for the sides, because they're a lot shorter and if you have short hair - and you start your hair on your own, a pencil, fine, it's like really good for detailing. So it's something it's good to have really the one I have is from read by kiss it's really hot. It doesn't have temperature control, but anyway, that's neither here nor there so she's still still styling and curling. My hair, while were chatting away - and this is just a preview of the back - obviously so it's very tightly curled right now, but she's not gon na leave it like that. So, to like finish off static, my hair, I'm pretty sure she used biosilk, the bio silk serum and she just used it to you know, put throughout my hair to give my hair like a nice little sheen like a nice shine, it was pretty like once you Put it in, I can tell the difference like it made my hair almost look like we've liked it give it such a nice. She - and I made it, look a lot healthier than it actually was. So I really liked that yeah and it gave it like a nice PC. Look like you can see like all the little fringes you know, sticking out so yeah anyways yeah. So far you know I was loving my hair and I'm loving my hair. My sideburns are pronounced as long as I have like the shape, and you know I have the cut then I can handle my hair like I just don't think I need to go to the stylist for us to get. You know a cut like a foundation so yeah that is Siobhan. I was trying to get her to say hi, but she was a little bit shy and this is her daughter on the right and her knees. They were so cute. They were well aware that the camera was there, so you know I had to keep their little clip in just in case they want to watch it later highs. I believe it in the stage yeah hi sage, okay yeah. She was, she was a dud she's. The one that was so well behaved, oh okay, so it's exactly 10:30 right now. So it's about 12 hours since I left the salon and I went to a birthday party. Basically, so you know obviously right right now we see, but I just want to show you guys, like my uncut, like more like a closer look up, my cut so yeah, so it looks like this yeah, so this is like my cut yes, so basically I went To the salon, the slug is called salon Shay by the way I went inside you know I met her. I met the stylist and you know we were talking a bit. She was asking about what kind of cut I want. So basically, I told her that I wanted to keep my sideburns right and I also told her that I wanted to be able to still like to cut it down, of course, but still be able to stop my hair using my fire. Yes, sister, yes, okay, so she also had me show me some pictures of this style or the shape that I wanted. So I show there are a couple pictures as well, but I'm not really I'm not really too fussy about like pictures and getting my hair exactly like the picture, because I know that everyone has a different head shape and who has a different face. A different look. So you're not gon na look exactly like the person in that picture, but it kind of it's defined gave her an idea. Cassie. I knew you could be so chatty. It'S still. It still kind of gave her an idea of what I was looking for. So so, basically what I did. I got a partial relaxer. I got a rinse swift, jet-black, hair, jeff, jet-black, hair color. So let me see Kanchan black semi-permanent color and I got a style, a cut in style, so partial relaxed, friends, cotton style and everything was under $ 100. Okay, say: hi, yes, a good night! Okay go yes! So everything was under $ 100 um yeah. I'M honestly, I love doing like a brand new woman. I felt so good. I knew that my fiance was gon na love. It cuz. He likes my shirt here and yeah. So overall, I was happy with my experience there um. If you want to check out their Instagram, I think I mentioned it already. Her Instagram is at Shivani our stylist, and she also has another page from her salon. Is a salon shake back to Mon shake so I'll, leave that here and she's here and she's in Toronto? So if you're looking for stylist kids, definitely check, I'm gon na do a nighttime Shorthair routine. Just to show you this! How I wrapped my hair before I go to bed and like what I do. Basically, what I do and I'll show you guys how it looks the next morning and how I you know how I style it the next morning with um like after wrapping it so yeah. Thank you guys so much for watching this video. Thank you so much for coming to the salon with me. It'S my very first one, I'm looking forward to doing more and others because it wasn't that bad to be honest, but it was gon na be kind of embarrassing, but I thought it was gon na be awkward, but it was pretty easy, but yeah see you guys In my next video, thank you guys for watching bye.

Banana X: She did that! I'm loving pixies, got mine cut back in October and dyed it black, the only thing I didn't like was the fresh perm on my natural hair, it was too fine and thin like, I should've asked not to have my top permed but other than that, I love it! Tamron Hall's pixie was my inspiration.

CC§Gemini: It’s easier to shape the cut when doing a precut before the relaxer because the relaxer stretches the hair. You can then shape the cut to perfection and style.

chanise bailey: It definitely has to be a semi permanent because demi just sits on the hair shaft and you can wash it out and your hair is back to normal with the semi it partly penetrates into the hair shaft and also sits on the hair which is why you have to really rinse but it lasts awhile and yeah I noticed in school when I played with colors dark colors including red it stains the skin so you have to use vaseline as a barrier cream but if the client is blond you slap it on with out barrier cream but out of habit I just do it with out thinking once the client told me I didn't have to do that because it won't stain her scalp ‍♀️ my bad

Lyn Brown: Love it....now I'm hating I cut my top shorter...but thank God, it does grow back...lol...
