My Hair Story - Dawn

Forgive the strong ‘informercial’ tone message of this hair story but I thought it was worth including because Dawn’s hair is absolutely gorgeous and obviously thriving under her ulra simple regimen.

Are you relaxed, natural, texturized or texlaxed? Natural

What’s your story, how did you get to where you are? Three years ago I did what most black women do when they want to go natural “The Big Chop”. At first it was really hard understanding how I needed to take care of my hair, but it then just made sense.

During my years of experience with mostly bad hair care products, I finally found the perfect shampoo, conditioner, and cream mixture for beautiful healthy hair and twists. For me having healthy hair was my main concern but the biggest benefit was that my hair has grown significantly all in one length. Yeah!

My secret is the American Twistology Twist Kit, which I created and use every month.

What is your regimen at the moment? First I twist my hair and keep it in for 3 to 4 weeks, then I untwist my hair and then wear the twist out style for a week, then re-twist.

And your favourite product? American Twistology: The In home twist and twist out kit.

This is not favorite product because I am the founder but because I love my hair and it works. It is currently selling on Ebay and Amazon.

What’s your signature style? The Twist and Twist Out style with cute pins, flowers or just natural.

What is the best tip you have learned to protect your ends? With my twist style, I trim my hair once every six months.
