4 Cute Easter Hairstyles For Your Little Princesses

Hey Y’all! So it’s that time again, you know that day where you have to dye 50,000 eggs or worry about that tummy ache that your little ones will probably have later on from candy overload. Yes, if you have not already figured it out I am talking about Easter!

Now while I’m pretty sure that you guys might not have to worry about the 50,000 vinegar dye laden eggs, you might be wondering, how am I going to do my mini-me’s hair this year for Easter? Okay so the answer to this question might be a ‘maybe’ because I know plenty of moms (including my own) who know just how her hair is going to look a month in advance (NO LIE). But for my ladies (and at home papas) who have no clue on what to do for your princess(es) hair, we have found four wonderful hairstyles you can try for this upcoming Easter.

1. Super Easy Finger Coils Bun

This is a pretty unique hairstyle if you want to switch it up a bit. It is a basic bun but the twists are created doing finger coils. This hairstyle is perfect for little ones with medium  to long hair. Youtuber DiscoveringNatural shows us how to achieve this beauty of a bun below.

Tools and Prep: For this style you will need an elastic ponytail holder and moisturizer to apply to her hair beforehand.

This hairstyle should be done on semi stretched to fully stretched hair. You can do this via braids, bantu knots, twists, banding, or African threading. If you would like to stretch the hair via heat, make sure that you do not fully stretch the curls or you might not be able to achieve the finger coils.

2.Twist and Rows Hairstyle

This hairstyle is perfect for those of you who do not know whether you want to do braids or twists, because you get  the best of both worlds. Youtuber Tiffany of TiffanyNicholsDesign shows us how to create this lovely hairstyle below. Since this hairstyle is created with the help of Marley braiding hair, this style can be executed on any length of hair.

For those moms who aren’t too keen on using extensions* on your little one, you can still try the style without the Marley hair. Additionally if you are not too experienced with cornrows just do flat twists instead.

Tools and Prep: For this style you will need a moisturizer and pomade, (Tiffany uses Entwine Couture products to achieve the style, but you can use any moisturizer and pomade that suits your daughter’s hair needs), one pack of Marley braiding hair, hair clips and clamps, perm rods*, and a rat tail comb* for parting.

This hairstyle should be done on fully stretched hair. You can do this via braids, bantu knots, twists, banding, or African threading. You can also use the blow-drying tension method to stretch hair as well.

3. Curly Braided Mowhawk

Who doesn’t love a mowhawk, especially a braided one? This style is perfect for moms who have little tomboyettes on their hands. It’s not too girly where they would feel as if you are taking away their identity, kids! smh, but girly enough where mommy will be satisfied. Youtuber 11mjsmommy shows us how to execute this style below.  Again feel free to substitute the corn rows for flat twists.

Tools and Prep: For this style you will need to have pre-moisturized hair, setting lotion (11mjsmommy uses Design Essentials Setting Lotion, but any setting lotion would do), Olive oil* or any hair oil* of your choice, and Eco Styler* Olive Oil* gel or any gel of your choice

This hairstyle can be done on shrunken hair but works better on fully stretched hair. You can stretch her hair via braids, bantu knots, twists, banding, or African threading. You can also use the tension blow dry method to stretch the hair as well.

4. Updo with Spiral Curls

Last but certainly not least we have an updo with gorgeous little curls. Now it wouldn’t be an Easter hairstyle post if curls were not included now would it? This hairstyle really made me reminisce on when I was younger because my mom/aunt made sure that my Easter hairstyle would contain either lots and lots of barrettes or lots and lots of curls. Ms Martini showcases her mommy hair skills on Ken Ken’s hair via youtube vlog CurlyUnCurly in the video below.

Tools and Prep: For this style you will need pre-moisturized hair, perm rods*, hair clips, and a rat tail comb* for parting.
