Sava Shares His Opinion On Why Black Men Hate Natural Hair

Women Like what they hear and men like what they see, so women wear makeup and men lie

I think its pretty interesting how the guys are starting to make their opinions known about how they feel about natural hair. More and more we are starting to include our partners on our journey teaching them our ‘language’ and getting them to understand our position. Some of us are even calling them out on national TV, which isn’t meant to be mean but it is also meant to say “hey, we really think this is important!”.

I found Sava while cruising YouTube, and I thought his perspective was pretty cool but something we kind of know but never really thought about. In a previous post we discussed how we can include guys in our natural journey but what about what men are going through internally.

Do you think that men even though they are very visual creatures have some sort of self hate and so they cannot appreciate our hair? I think if the guys weighed in they would say, it isn’t that deep. But when you do have a guy that absolutely detests natural hair, what else can you infer if he has the same sort of hair growing from his own head?

Sava brings a male perspective to the discussion but also a African perspective because in that country they are still working on acceptance of natural hair if at all. I think I get his point, but I also think women are very visual too, and so we had to get there just like a man does. Yea we like to listen, but don’t get it twisted we like our man looking a certain way too.

Men are visual but human nature dictates that beauty is not just skin deep regardless of sex, after he sees you and likes what he sees, you will need to have a bit more to keep his attraction.

I liked his quote but when you get to a certain age, and lived a little life, makeup and lies are just not gonna cut it. Perception is a problem across the human race, how we all perceive standards of beauty what we have been taught as a man or a woman has to be re done.
