We have come to the realization that the purple trend isn’t going anywhere and since we all love it so much why not explore some ways we can add it to our hair and have a bit of fun. In this post we want to show you how you can add purple to a variety of styles whether you want to be bold with the color or slightly subtle.

For instance our first featured image above was a picture we found on Instagram where the color was added to the bottom layer of the clients hair and then styled after a blow out and press. Adding the color to the bottom half of the hair with a slight gradient is absolutely gorgeous and gives the style a very unique twist.

2. The purple fade

I call this the purple fade! The color is added on the very ends of the hair with more of it concentrated at the front. The hair was then shaped into a fade. This is a pretty bold take on the style and not for the faint of heart.

3. Purple highlights

If you are more of a slightly conservative girl like many of us are, you can take the highlights approach to your color. @bstyled85 did just that mixing purple with her dark hair, concentrating more highlights at the crown for a fierce look.

We are oh so loving the gradient bob these days and this lady used purple and blue together to give her bob even more pop than it already has. Who knew purple and blue highlights could look so amazing together. It helps when you  have a sharp hair cut to pull it all together.

The color almost looks temporary which is what many of us are doing to preserve our curls. It just goes to show that you can still have fun without any of the commitment of permanent color.

@salonnoa added purple to her very short hair and then styled it in finger waves. This is a bold move and not all of us can pull it off. If you think you can then we say by all means give it a shot, this is just another style option for those of us with shorter tresses.
