6 Hair Hacks To Save A Natural Hair Fail

Hair fails. We all have them. Waking up after you twisted your hair only to find that it’s not completely dry or your strands just didn’t want to cooperate and give you the definition you need.

Just because you have a bad hair day it doesn’t have to be the end of the world. Instead of crawling into a hole and refusing to step out, try one of these 6 fixes for a failed style.

1. Puff

Typically no matter how long your hair is you can easily slip on a stretchy headband* and push your hair back into a puff. Wet your hair to allow some definition and life come back into your strands and rock it proudly.

2. Redefine your coils

One of my best fixes for a failed twist out is to reposition each curl or section by redefining some strands. All you need is a little gel and then use your finger tips to finger coil the ends of the strands. This helps to tame frizz and bring life back into those wonky sections of hair.

3. Wash n’ Go

If you have the time consider doing a quick wash n’ go before you head out. This typically works for me towards the end of the week when my hair is dull and I really need to wash it but honestly don’t have the time for a full twist out. You’ll step out with a fresh style and no one will know you didn’t wake up like this!

4. Crown/Halo Twists

Crown twists is another favorite style for those bad hair days. Super easy to do and on top of that it’s a great protective style as well!

5. Hats

Depending on the occasion or where you’re going, one of the quickest fixes is throwing on a cute hat. Leave some of your strands out in the front or even two strand twist the front and let them hang.

6. Head Wraps

Head wraps are being seen more and more everyday because not only are they perfect for concealing your hair when it’s not cooperating, they are also extremely fashionable!
