What Would You Think If You Saw This Warning On Your Rental Office Door?

Have you all seen this photo floating around on your timelines yet? Social media has been going crazy over this picture and some of the comments have been hilarious to say the least.

Before we get to the funny part though, what would you think if you saw this on the rental office door of your apartment complex?

To be honest, I wasn’t offended, I actually thought, “wow, that’s bold of them!” I have seen memes with warnings directed at black women about wearing their bonnets in public because people think it’s inappropriate.

It is almost like wearing your pajamas and Tweety Bird bed slippers to Walmart to go grocery shopping. Personally I agree with the idea that if you are going out then you should take the bonnet off but I think posting that picture on an office door was #teamtoomuch.

On that particular picture the comments varied, some women agreed with the note:

I don’t like to see these worn out either it just looks so ratchet and ghetto. Just like do rags and sagging pants.

Then there was this comment that questioned the priorities of the rental offics:

Whoever made this sign is worried about the wrong thing. Despite the fact that women (presumably black) are coming into the office to do simple tasks like pay their rent, etc – everyone cares what is on their head. I don’t see that setting anyone back years. In fact, I think they are being responsible by placing their business first and not their looks.

I see nothing wrong with going to the store to buy groceries for your family, paying your rent, anything you need to do BEFORE you do your hair.

I see clear priorities. You could have the best ? most beautiful, perfectly done hair and still have neglected your personal responsibilities.. and it would count for nothing. THAT would set you back. Also, if the sign was for employees they probably would’ve had a meeting or sent out a notice regarding the new dress code change, not a huge sign like this one.

Others thought it was just funny saying if you want the rent before 7am this is what you are going to get so deal with it. What do you think about the note? Did they take things too far with the picture or are they justified?
