Would You Remove Your Weave For Your Man? - Kandi Burruss Removes Her Weave For Todd

The internet is asking the question “Would you take your weave out for your man?” and here is why. Kandi Burrus, the famed housewife that we all know and love, posted the above picture on Instagram. In the picture, she is clearly not wearing her signature weave and she tells her audience that she did it for Todd.

In the caption she wrote:

it took 4 and a half years for @todd167 to see me take out my weave for more than a day. Now he doesn’t want me to put it back in. #HealthyHair pic. On set press by @derekjhair #realhairdontcare

The responses to her post were interesting to say the least, most of them praising Todd for saying what he felt:

That’s sad it took that long. Happy you took that sh*t out, its not even popping anymore.

I think this is awesome and he is right you don’t need it, you are beautiful with or without it.

I will be the first to answer the question because for me it is an easy one. Absolutely I would but that is because I never wear a weave anyway.

Some women might feel a little different and say they would take it out for themselves and not for a man especially if they are not married or seeing said guy for any long period of time.

If we put the whole guy argument aside for a second, I think that taking out the weave* and wearing your natural hair is good for the soul.

It allows your hair and scalp to breathe a bit and you can get to know your real hair again. The only time weave becomes a serious problem is when it is used as a crutch and you just cannot see yourself without one.

With that said under what circumstances would you remove your weave? And, would you remove your weave* for your man? Comment below!
