Sanaa Lathan Is Having A “No Weave No Make Up" Summer And Shows Off Her Natural
Uh ooh, Alicia Keys, done started something now! A few weeks ago Alicia Keys wrote an open letter explaining why she doesn’t want to wear makeup anymore, and it seems as if other celebs are following suit.

We all get to a point in our lives (especially girls) where we try to be perfect.
Does it start somewhere in second grade after picture day when you wear your frizzy hair out ’cause your mama says it’s beautiful but all your “friends” laugh at you?
You grab the brush and gel and pull your beautiful big hair back into the tightest ponytail you possibly can to contain your unique hair in a bun — hiding a piece of who you are in order to fit into a picture of what others seem to see as perfection.
Then she goes on to talk about her music and how it inspired her to walk away from makeup altogether. She even attended her last award show without even a drop of makeup on and she looked awesome. At the end of the essay she said:
I hope to God it’s a revolution.
‘Cause I don’t want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing.

Sanaa got a ton of support from her followers who were all here for it, letting her know that they also want to make changes to their own lives:
It looks beautiful I’m trying to get enough courage to start locking my natural hair I’m tired of the weaves* and wigs* and stuff like that and I’m using a new product and it seems to be someone working I just what you wish it work quicker but I like the natural look and happy for you.
