4 Ways To Use Instagram To Document Your Hair Journey

We are always looking at ways to document our own hair journey as well as share with our audience ways that they can document theirs as well.

We have had a few questions from you all about new ways to document the journey that will add value and most of all fun to the whole process.

If you want my opinion, I would say hands down use Instagram! Instagram is not new by any means but of all the social platforms I think it is most suited for documenting your hair journey either privately with a few friends or publicly making new friends along the way.

How to use Instagram effectively for your hair journey

1. Use the caption section to describe your pictures

The caption section can be used to describe the picture, the hair style if you are having a good hair day or a bad one. The caption section is like your little mini journal entry for that particular day!

2. Post a selfie every day

The more pictures you post the easier it will be to track your progress so do not hesitate to pull out your cell phone for a quick daily selfie.

Take pictures of all angles, I prefer three angles since the app allows for three pictures across. That way you get a bit of a uniformed look if you are into that sort of thing.

3. Post hairsprations

I know your Instagram is pretty much for you but there is nothing wrong with showing a little love to the styles that you want to try from other women you admire.

I am a huge fan of video so I use an Instagram repost app to repost videos that I love to my Instagram especially of styles I want to try myself.

4. Use the hashtag feature to find other styles

I love hashtags because you can find so many inspirational styles and women using hashtags that are relevant to what you want to find. So if you want to see styles with 4Chair, search the hashtag “#4chair”. You can also find accounts that you can follow for even more inspiration.

Instagram is the app that you can give a lot to and get a lot from, so if you are new to social media and you want to share or document your hair journey, I highly recommend starting with Instagram.
