Pulled Back Hairstyle With Braid Detail Easy Hairstyle

8. Let your hair downI love the tv show Game Of Thrones. Apart from the wonderful writing and plot twists, I absolutely adore the ethereal platinum blond Daenerys Targaryen (Khalisi) and how she wears her hair. Of course that it’s a lace wig* that they put on Emilia Clarke who plays her, but the show has a great way of sucking you into the storyline.

After my recent realization that shrunken braid outs were causing as much breakage as wash and go’s it became evident that doing the braid outs on blown out hair was the best work-around solution.

The problem with this method however is that the braid out looks great on day one and day two but by the third day, the definition has all but gone. If this has happened to you, your options are either to re-braid your hair or find a way to style your glorified afro as it is.

Excess manipulation of your strands will be the death of your length goals so avoiding re-braiding all your hair is the ideal solution. Here is a pictorial of how to re-create this pretty pulled back style to stretch your hairdo for a few days longer. The style works best with medium to long lengths.

How to do the style:

You will need a flower clip and two bobby pins

You will need:

A flower clip

Two bobby pins*.

separate a section and braid until close to the end

Separate a section of hair at the front above your temple and clip the rest of the hair aside. Braid that section until close to the ends.

separate another section and braid as before

Grab another section of hair this time near your temple and braid as before. These are the completed braids. Repeat this process on the other side of your head. You may want to tie your hair into a low ponytail to get it out of the way for the next step.

Pin the braids together

Combine the top two braids on either side of your head and tie them into a loose knot at the back of your head. Dont double knot, just use a bobby pin to hold the braids in place. Combine the bottom two braids as above and use another bobby pin to secure the braids in place.

Add a blue flower clip to hide the two knots and bobby pins*. Actually pick whatever color flower you like!

The finished look, pulled back hairstyle

Voila! Let your hair down!

Because you are not really looking to save curls per se with this style, keeping it overnight is as easy as tying your loose hair into a low pony and covering it with a satin scarf (or sleep on a satin pillowcase* without the scarf) overnight.  Remove the flower clip at bed time and reattach it in the morning.

I have done this style with 3 or 4 braids on either side of my head and it looks even better with more braids!
