Romantic Valentine's Day Escapes

Valentine’s Day is rapidly approaching, and let’s face it: for many of us, it hasn’t been the most romantic year or two. Intimate candlelit restaurants were temporarily shuttered and concerts have been few and far between. But finally, with falling virus rates and increased vaccinations, there is – dare we say it!? Light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. So what better time to plan a sweet getaway with your partner for Valentine’s Day? There is nothing like a little escape to liven up a relationship. But where to go? The destinations are endless: from a classic beach trip to a cozy cabin getaway. Read on to find the ideal vaca for you and your love to celebrate and unwind:
#1. Tropics
It’s highly likely that you and your beau could use a little bikini time. Turn up the heat with a southern destination: Mexico has a plethora of all-inclusive resorts if that’s your speed. Places like Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta are gorgeous and known for their well-priced flights. Are you more of an adventurous couple? Costa Rica has incredible hiking, ziplining, and surfing. If you’d prefer to stay more local, Florida has everything from the bohemian Keys to Miami Beach clubbing.
#2. Woodsy
Sure, tropical vacations are nice. But is there really anything more romantic than cozying up by a warm fire when the weather outside is frightful? The Northeastern US is known for tons of quaint small towns in Maine, Vermont, New York, and New Hampshire. Staycations can be surprisingly relaxing – there isn’t the added stress of traveling, packing, unpacking, and catching up on chores. Turn your ringer off and queue up Netflix. An intentional at-home weekend might be the perfect treat for you and your sweetie.
