Two Simple Tips to Having Hair that Gives You The Look of A Star

“How can I get my hair to look like that of a Hollywood Star’s?”  is a question that I am often asked once people realize that I am a hair stylist who works on major Hollywood Movies.

Some people would expect that the answer to this question is very complicated and expensive. There are of course many tricks of varying degrees that can be put in place to give one’s hair that Hollywood Star glow. However there are also a couple of steps one can take that are relatively simple to pull off. Below I will give two basic tips that pretty much anyone can do that will go a long way toward that goal.

Tip One: Purchase And Use Quality Shampoos And Conditioners

The shampoo and conditioner you use is vitally important to the health of your hair.  My first tip is to purchase and use quality shampoos and conditioners that are sulfate and paraben free.

The absence of these waxes will help you to have healthier hair which in turn will make your hair appear brighter. Healthier, brighter hair is a strong component to creating and maintaining a “starlike” glow.

Tip Two: Purchase And Use Quality Curling Irons*, Blow Dryers* and Flat Irons

Another suggestion toward getting the look of a Hollywood star is to purchase and use quality curling irons*, blow dryers* and flat irons*.  All irons and dryers are not created equal in terms of how they dispense heat. Quality irons and dryers will create heat that will spread evenly across your hair. My suggestion is to use ceramic curling and flat irons*.

In addition to spreading heat evenly they will be a great aid in avoiding burning your hair. If straight hair is what you desire a high quality flat iron will provide enormous assistance in reaching that goal.

Similarly a high quality curling iron* will provide more flattering curls if that is the direction you want to go.  This in turn will better help you in creating a “head turning” look.

There are many other tips that can help you attain that “starlike” look, these are a couple that I usually tell people to put in place as a start. How you shampoo and condition is vitally important to your hair no matter how you wear your hair.
