3 Natural-Looking Natural Hair Wigs Under $50

wigs

I think all of us can agree that we love to change our hair up from time to time. We add color, install mermaid length poetic justice braids, flat iron* straight, the point is we love to experiment with different looks and why not?

Our beautiful hair textures whether kinky*, curly, or wavy allows for us to have transformations that rivals even Optimus Prime himself. With that said, wigs* are one of the easiest and fastest ways to transform our hair to any style that we can imagine especially when we do not feel like changing our own hair..

I think however that the biggest issues for us, especially us natural hair ladies is one finding a wig that can look natural enough to be mistaken for our natural hair textures and two finding a wig that doesn’t cost half of your rent . Below we have three wigs* for you that without a doubt would be mistaken for your “real hair” and would not break the bank.

1. It’s a Wig- Human Hair Afro Curl
Now, for me this wig is one of the closest that I have seen to kinky* hair that did not cost an arm or a leg. Matter of fact, it is very similar to the short Solange wig you can check it out and compare for yourself. Here are a few pros and cons on this beautiful unit.

Price: $44.89 (w/o taxes) at hairwigharlem.com
Type: 100% Human Hair Full-Cap Wig (No Lace)

Pros

►It’s a human hair wig so it lasts just about forever.

►It can be manipulated a bit more than synthetic hair and the curls come back just by wetting it.

►It’s a full cap, this is mostly for the ladies who are easily irritated by the lace in lace wigs*.

►Its low-medium density which is great for women who aren’t fans of super big Diana Ross hair.

Cons

►A lot of women that have reported excessive shedding which can be a pain in the rear.

►Because it is a lace free wig, you have no parting options and you will most likely have to take a bit of your own hair out around the edges if you want to wear it pulled back.

►For the ladies who like big “gone with the wind” fab hair this unit will not provide that, but you could fluff it out to create the appearance of higher density if you are not worried about compromising definition.

2. Beshe Drew

Now most of us that are familiar with the wig world are familiar with the Beshe Drew wig*. Without a doubt, this unit is one of the most loved units for natural ladies or just ladies who want to rock a natural hair look.

Price: 27.95 (w/o taxes) at elevatestyles.com

Type: Synthetic Lace Front Wig

108163496Pros

►It looks great out of the box and you can pretty much put a side part in this baby and it would look “going out” ready.

►It has a “human hair” look and feel to it. The Beshe Drew unit does not feel or look like synthetic hair in my opinion. To make it look even more natural, you can easily tone down the shine that it does have by using a bit or cornstarch. It gives it a sheen that is similar to our own natural hair.

►It is a lace front so you can pretty much tuck all of your hair underneath the unit without worrying about leave out since the lace can give the appearance of a natural hairline.

►It gives you Diana Ross Hair and is definitely THE big hair wig, so for our ladies that love big hair this unit is great.

Cons

►It can appear to be a bit boxy. Beshe Drew does not really have a “shape” to it so you might have to do some layering to reduce the boxiness.

3. R&B Collection All Star Wivez Coil Style

The RNB All Star Wivez Coil Style is the new kid on the block. While there has not been too may reviews on this unit I can see it becoming a favorite among many women who love or would like to try out wearing wigs*.

Price: 23.14 (w/o taxes) at elevatestyles.com
Type: Synthetic Full-Cap Wig* (No Lace)

Pros

►For the quality of the wig*, $24.00 is an extremely good price. I’ve seen wigs that look like this cost at least 110.00 so I would definitely call this a “steal”. This is a great wig for those who have a tight budget and would like to experience wearing a nice wig without putting holes in the pockets.

►It is already layered which makes easy to get up and go.

►This means practically little to no doctoring. In my opinion, the only change one might make is cutting the bangs down a bit especially if you do not like hair in your face.

►It’s full cap. Like I mentioned above, this would work for ladies who do not like the feeling of the lace in lace wigs*.

Cons

►Styling is limited due to it being a full cap wig.The means that you would not be able to create parts, however if you wouldn’t mind wearing this unit as is then this wouldn’t really be a con, huh?
