How To Do A Fierce Dookie Braid

hqdefault (1)Yet another simple, protective style that is fierce, and has been rocked by many celebrities. The Dookie Ponytail Braid is achieved by using any kind of braiding hair. It doesn’t even have to be that expensive; just use regular Kanekalon hair.

You may need a quick style to put together before you go out for a night out in the city with the girls, or with your man, perhaps? This hairstyle can compliment any fierce outfit, as well as compliment your makeup. We’ve all seen Beyoncé with this style quite a few times. Bring out the freakin’ goddess in you!

So you will need:

Braiding Hair.

Styling gel.

Brush.

Hair ties*.

Flat iron* (optional).

Satin scarf.

Firstly, start off with clean hair and put your hair up into a high ponytail using gel and your brush. Tie the scarf around your head to lay down your edges and fly-aways.  If needs be, flat iron* the ponytail. If you are natural, this is a necessary step, because this will help to disguise your hair underneath the braiding hair (if it decides to peek through).

Secondly, grab the pack of braiding hair (open it of course),  and determine how big you want your Dookie Braid. For me, the bigger the better, but your choice is your choice. Use the entire bundle of hair, if you are trying to achieve the big Dookie Braid.

Thirdly, wrap the bundle around your ponytail, and proceed as if your hair is the third strand of the entire braid. Braid all the way down until you get to the end, or if you want the end to be left as is, use a hair tie it at your stopping point.

And BAM! There you go; if you want a more natural look, trimming the ends will make it look more natural. Check out this video right here to get a visual demonstration:
