All right guys, so you know kids these days want all the hair on top left alone and they want it short on the sides, or at least mom wants to short on the sides. I'M gon na show you guys how to accomplish that today, i'm gon na start off by saturating the hair we're gon na, get it sectioned off nice and clean start off with some scissor work and then we'll come in and do a nice taper underneath i'm going To section from the crown to the recession on each side go ahead and get the top pulled out of the way that way we can come in and do our block graduation. Next, i'm using my comb to find his head shape the top of his occipital bone. That'S where i want this to land, i'm going to leave a little bit longer in the back, i'm just coming in with blood graduation setting my first foundation my guideline. This is going to connect the top to this length right here and then we're going to be able to bring our clipper in underneath. So i'm just going to work a nice clean line from the back to the front of one side, then we'll go back to the back and work our way around to the other side. Setting that guideline in and then we'll connect the top to it. Now we can connect the top to the side, so we're going to split it down the middle. Take it to each side in the back, we're going to connect it exactly to the line that we set from the beginning and as we work our way towards the front, we will go ahead and leave it a little bit longer by pivoting our fingers out and Leaving the longest part in the front, oh now that we have the top connected to the sides, we can pull the top up. We'Re gon na have a guide from each side where it will start to fall out of my fingers and for this cut i want a textured look, so we're just gon na work. Our way across doing some point, cutting making everything, nice and consistent our longest points should be consistent and our shortest points should be consistent as well, and the angle of your scissors will accomplish that. So you guys just work our way across and, as we work our way to the front, it's going to get a little bit longer and we'll do the same thing working our way from back to front i'm going to tackle the very front. It is hanging in his eyes, so i'm just going to comb it down. You guys can see the guide from the side where we started. I'M just going to point cut my way across cleaning it up it's longest in the middle right between his eyes. So just want to clean it up and give a nice lay in the front where it lays right above his eyebrows. Now that we're done with that, i'm going to come in and do a loose blow dryer. I just want to get everything laying down and i want the hair to be dry, so my clipperwork can feed right into it. Now i'm gon na come in with my number four and i'm gon na feed straight up off the head right into that weight line. That we created we're gon na cut the whole side down to a number four. We should be connected to the top, which is the hardest part, and then we can come in and do a taper on the bottom now to make it a little bit easier. I'M going to go ahead and fade down to a number three, so i'm just flicking up into the four the four connected to the top. Now we're going to connect the three to the four and then we can come in and set our ball guideline and start our tape. I'M going to set my guideline with my slimline pros: i'm going to go ahead and punch it in ball out everything underneath then we'll come in with our shaver and get it down the skin before we start our first step now, for our first step, we're going To go about a half an inch with the snap fx from babelist set in our guideline, and then we can start to work it out from the bottom. So you see i flicked the line out with the slim lines. I was able to flick it out pretty well and not leave a harsh line. I came in next with my clipper halfway open and took out anything that was left behind now we're up to a one guard, all the way open we're going up. Another half inch we're gon na set in that guideline and now the clipper is closed and we're working that line out now you can see that line is not going away. The half guard is going to hit the sweet spot to take that line all the way out, and then we can continue to connect the rest of the haircut together. Now remember: we started with the number four faded down to a number three, so this number two should flick right into the number three softening up that guideline above the open one, and we will come in next with the one and a half halfway open and it's Going to be the sweet spot between those two sections and it should bring everything together now we're going to work on that last line with the one and a half it is halfway open, we're lighting up that line if we need to continue to work our way Down and polish anything up, we can't now i'm going to clean up the c cup guys. These are the beveled snap fx, with the dlc 2.0 blade i've been using them for a while. You guys know. I didn't really love the dlc blade before, but you guys can see that these things are hidden. I'M gon na go ahead and hit the line around the ears guys. The bottom of the neck is still too long. I'M not gon na mess with all of that. Right now we'll go ahead and do the taper, and then we can clean that up. You guys can see. My middle finger is against his cheek, allowing me to pivot that trimmer around in a nice perfect circle and get a nice line up around the ear. Now we're going to move on to the back taper guys some exact steps. We already cut it down to a three now we're going to come in and start our ball guideline and we'll continue to work our way up. So you guys follow along with the cover guy down below, and i want to ask you guys for some feedback, guys i've been doing a lot more scissor work. I learned a lot in joshua, p's class of just setting foundations and shape of haircuts, and i personally like to do it, but some of it is a little bit more advanced. So you guys leave me some feedback and let me know, are you guys enjoying this content? Do you like learning these systems, or would you rather me show a more basic way to go about this haircut? You know i cut the top first on most haircuts. I noticed a lot of people click out of the video, and so if i need to adjust how i'm teaching, please let me know in the comment section down below, but if you guys are enjoying this scissor work, i'm going to continue to bring more. So you guys just let me know what you want to see. You guys can see haircuts all day the fade work, the clipper work, that's on every video on youtube, so just try to bring something different, but if it's not what you guys want to see, i would appreciate you guys. Let me know down below and let me know if you have any other haircuts or any other topics. You want me to touch on guys, i'm taking some time away from the shop so that i can really focus on youtube. I want to bring you guys the value that you need. So please leave me some feedback. Like i said. Let me know what topics you want me to touch on some tools. You guys want to see some haircuts. You guys want to see - and i will try to bring that forward in the future, so now that we're done with the taper guys, i'm gon na apply some statement. Grooming spray guys this is just kind of a heat protectant and it's also going to bring a little bit of hold, but we're going to add some products in here as well. So right now, i'm adding marmara space wax. You guys already know. That'S my favorite product! I'M going to add that in the hair before we come in and do the final blow dry now i'm going to come in using my diffuser and my fingers guys i'm just basically going to scrunch the hair once it's kind of dry, you guys can use it Like a curl sponge, as you can see, and just kind of twist it around and bring out that texture in the hair, so we're really trying to bring that out, bring that curl back out, give it a nice finish style. So he just doesn't have all this hair sitting up on top of his head all right guys! There'S the finished cut nice long, textured top! You know all the kids want their hair, like this. These days cut down to a three on the sides with a bald taper, nice and easy. I hope you guys took something away from it. If you guys like this video, do me a favor smash that thumbs up guys we're still pushing the 50k i'm hoping to get there soon, and i need some feedback on the channel. So leave me a comment down below if you guys aren't subscribed. Now is the time to subscribe, and let me know what you guys want to see next hope you guys like this haircut as always guys. I appreciate all of you that watch my videos and support the channel and i will catch you guys next time.

Chiquita Williams: I definitely appreciate the scissor work!! Keep it coming. I have been applying your technique when i cut and lord knows it has helped me out ALOT. We get all types of hair in our shop and i dont shy away from any of it. Im more confident when cutting straight hair because of you. Keep it up and keep it coming. Thank you

Ad Kutz Barber: This cut was insane Also been watching you for years now and your content is the best its been and your cuts have gone to another level your videos help and inspire me massively. I'm in a barber shop but still training to a high standard before fully being on the shop floor your videos have helped loads appreciate it.

Rob Cutz: I personally love watching the shear work. Going onto 3 yrs barbering and i still manage to learn gems about how you teach shear work especially with the sectioning! Thanks sean!

Martin Garcia Caro: As a hairdresser, I love the shear work. I really like that cut and style. Thanks Sean!

kuttzbyflo: Everything is perfect the way it is coming from someone who's still learning in barber school that shear work intro is too good

Jeffrey Polke: Love seeing the shear work. Something I’m always working on to get better and more comfortable with!

Retha Ali: Great work! Videos are perfect the way they are. This channel deserves much more then 50k, keep up the awesome content!

The Valet Barber: Love the scissor work, you explain it in a simple way!

Dante A. Chaudruc: The video formatting and the variety of topics are perfect. Wouldn't change anything about it. Love all the shear work!

Grant K.: I've got a group of six high school kids that come see me at one time once every couple of weeks that all get 2 3 fades with the long forward tops just like this and I always struggle to blend the long top into the clipper work. Definitely gonna try this.

Joe Sweet: Love the scissor work, it’s helping a lot of us who are trying to grow our skill set!

Charles Frank: Keep it up with the shear work!! you break down the steps well, alot of Youtubers don’t do that.

Christopher Smith: I like the way you do your sheer cuts. A lot of barbers on YouTube don’t break it down or show what they’re doing but once I found your channel I was hype. I say keep putting out the great videos

Dominic Lee: Ayo Mr. Sean, so I'm a self taught barber and been cutting for a couple years now. Still got plenty to learn and very willing to. You're definitely my favorite barber to watch and learn from. I'm 25 and I'm the Navy and just haven't had time yet to go to barber school and I feel so behind the curve man. Just feel like I'm missing out on the game ya know?? Wondering if you had any words of encouragement or anything

RobbasGaming: I've seen tapers/fades million times. I enjoy the scissors! I would appreciate a tutorial on how to set guidelines for different haircuts. Like, when should you have a mohawk guideline? When should guideline go from side to side, and then removing peaks and valleys along the mohawk. I'm a complete noob, and hobbyist

Levi Morgan: Fire cut. You know I'm loving the scissor work. Liking the new angles and stuff of the videos. Keep killin' it.

Blake P: That's a dope look. You killed it, as always!

HazeemKm: These contents are amazing man...Im not a professional barber ...But I do cut my family and my own hair and this do help me so so much ...Keep it up man we are loving it

BossMan Zay: I always enjoy your content. I know you asked for input in regards to whether or not we like content like this or if you need to make it easier to follow I.e step by step. Me personally I think you should just continue to grow as a content creator. If people come across your page and want to see remedial tutorials then they need to watch some of your older content you know? Most of the barbers who are watching your content enjoy watching the overall start to finish of the cut because we already understand the concept you know? Maybe even post a remedial chop on Tuesdays and straight up cuts on Thursday (just throwing out random dates) hopefully this came across genuine and not demanding. Love the work Sean

Jason Valdez: Enjoying the shear work. More of it is very appreciated thx. Dope cut

Jesus Joaquin: I will always continue to watch your videos Sean. Maybe just do less talking for the intro and get more to the point, if that makes sense. You've helped me a lot!!!

Mig Davinci: Sean you are super dope at cutting hair. Keep the videos coming especially the scissor cuts. But to be honest I know the babyliss weren’t cheap to purchase. But the blends aren’t coming out as good as when you use the rebels.

Shaina Shaina: Love seeing the scissor work. I have been looking for more videos that show more of that. Seems like everybody just wanna show fades and whatnot. Seen enough of those to pretty much understand a basic system, but the scissor work is interesting because it takes a little more thought and work and gives a really NICE finished STYLE as opposed to same old fade that everyone gets/sees.

AustinsCutz: Keep it up the growth is real, love seeing the shear work, if your dedicated to learn to fade you’ll get it fs but the shear work on the other hand man soo many different ways to do it

Brilee Stair: Brooo!!! Keep this kind of content coming. Need as much knowledge on that shear work as possible!

Cox13: I would love to see a fade down video, as many others i get lost between steps without guidelines... hope you can do that and explain how high/ low we should go with every step Thanks

Jesse Cruz: At least I enjoy sheer work, have learned a lot from you and a couple more from the tomb squad, not everybody fades with the same technique, demonstrate different styles, for beginners, lever open, half guard and one,how to start the cut with clipper instead of trimmer, different tips how to erase the skin line,a few simple designs kids are in to that as well, different cut styles and hair textures, all the good stuff, pro barber tips others don’t share, love the channel, love you’re work, thanks a lot success and best of wishes, keep them coming

Justin Gama: I appreciate the shear work for sure! keep being great

Desmond Mitchell: Nice cut ‍♂️ I'm loving my snap set to that dlc blade is definitely better then before @

Jordan Greenway: Love seeing the shear work!

Hector Ochoa: Love the shear work and explanation. Would love a video of how to do a fade with a sharp v on the back.

Brilee Stair: video as always‼️ how long does a cut like this take you when your not filming?

Jacob Wooten: Looks good man as always! You ever do any clipper over comb work? Something I want to learn more about in the barber industry. Not a lot of good videos that I could find on that.

-One -Love: Dope content, tutorial love it ❤️Cut!

Jesse Montes: Keep the shear work coming bro! Thank u!

forest gump: keep up the great work sean

Paul Cuts: Shear work is all good Sean, top cut as always

Justice Holiday: Keep up the scissor work the block graduation is appreciated, whether in the academy or YouTube

Joshua Cardona: bro keep doing more clipper work, not a lot of people show that and it’s what most barbers struggle with more imo

Ray Shortte: Definitely more scissor work man. There are plenty of fade vids out there like you say. It would also be cool to see some beard work.

Amya Morice: So Im new to starting off with the blunt graduation, i don’t exactly get it. In my head it seems like it would make things harder as far as blending it out, or maybe its not, i dont know, i haven’t tried it yet. But im all about what i can do to make any cut easier & best quality! Would you make an in depth video on it or if you already have one what is it called so i can find it! & maybe a video on the bang area & the best way to go about them. As well as ones with the crazy cowlicks up front. Cutting the bang area for whatever reason had always been my only problem that i still get insecure about. Ive never butchered anyones but its the one thing i take way too much time overthinking

Ad Kutz Barber: I would love a video about different patterns like a womens undercut patten I currently cut a women who has like love hearts but trying to learn more advance patterns and techniques Appreciate everything

X_ Ray: Enjoying this content very helpful for me

Fade Therapy: Hella clean

Telly Daniels Jr.: I’m fresh out of school you’ve basically been my teacher than the one at school

Marcus Davis: Great work

Ozaifa Rofique: More scissors work videos, it was helpful and clear asf

fuhook: production quality has been bril lately

cjay james: Did you clipper over comb to connect the block graduation to the #4/#2?

Paige of Stylez: I think most of us love the shear work. I think you should do a shear work for dummies video. IMHO

Paige of Stylez: Teach us about your Barber's eye. Nobody tells us what their thinking when they first look at a customer's head after the treatment/consultation, what head shapes make them think what and etc.

Tyler Washington: Great content. More scissors work and advanced haircuts

BLProductions: Awesome bro as usual

Kenny Geerman: Could you drop a tutorial maybe using the babyliss lo pro fx
