School Work Experience Week! I Worked In A Salon! | Rosie Mcclelland

Maybe at the end of the week, i'll finish and my hair would be like a different color. I feel like it'd look cool like that with like a black color shopping for work experience, and then you got taken out by a pigeon, i'm quite nervous about tomorrow, because i don't really know what to expect. If i'm going to be sweeping the floors. If i'm going straight in, i might be washing somebody's hair on the first day and mom has told me that i actually need to like put my phone away in like my bag. So i'm not allowed to use it throughout the day. I'M in the staff room - and they just said that i can like wash somebody's hair, help put like extensions in i brought you can kind of see in the sprinkles ones glaze and the strawberry and cream ones. That'S the only donut, that's left so me and charlie. If they eat me on it, hey guys it's rosie and welcome back to my channel, so for today's video this week, i'm actually starting my work experience and, of course, i'm going to take you guys with me so guys work experience is basically where your school sends. You out for a week to an actual company to like have a job just for a week and you can either let the school pick for you or you can get your own placement and i have actually decided to get my own placement and i'm going to Be working at a salon so guys before we get on with this video, don't forget to subscribe to my channel and click that notification bell. So you don't miss any of my videos just like this one and stay tuned all the way to the end, because i am going to be taking you guys throughout my whole week me going shopping today for the clothes, because, obviously i need some new clothes me Doing the work my first day me actually in the salon doing everything - i'm literally just i'm so excited so i'm gon na take you with me anyways. I need to get some new outfits and they said trendy and fashionable so so the salon that i'm going to actually does all different beauty stuff from hair nails, makeup waxing lashes, literally everything. So i'm going to be helping like all of them different departments which is going to be really fun and i'll be doing the stock cupboard seeing all of the new products i'll be making teas coffees um, we'll target talking to new people, maybe i'll, be working at The desk - maybe i can even like dye, someone's hair, but my mum. Let me actually tell you this story, because this has actually got me a bit scared. But basically my mum went to a salon for her work experience and she was washing somebody's head, but she forgot to like move them back a bit more so that their neck was touching like the basin and all of the ladies back got absolutely drenched with water. So if i'm washing somebody's hair, i don't want to make that mistake, but i do actually want to get my hair dyed brown, so maybe at the end of the week i'll finish and my hair would be like a different color. Actually, no, that would be a different video, so stay tuned, so the owner of the salon has actually texted my mum, and she has said that i need to wear clothes that are trendy comfortable and a bit smart um, but they need to be dark just in Case i like spill any products down me, so i need to go out today. Mum'S gon na take me out and we're going to go shopping for new clothes right. Okay, guys we are in the car on our way to the shops and first up as per it's, going to be primark, because who doesn't love primark um and i just need to go primark because it's got so much stuff. And i don't even know if i'm going to wear like any of these clothes again, so we've got to get like um nice looking clothes, but they've got to be decent to wear yeah, not related, but i lost my sunnies the other day and they've got the Same ones in here so again not related, but i do like these clips. These trousers, i feel, would look cool. I know they don't look like much, but if i styled them up, you know i feel like they would look cool, so i'm getting them anyways they're. Only seven pounds found black jeans. I definitely need these. I feel like it'd, look cool like that with like a black color, all right, so we're walking down and we might try it it's not actually funny. This pigeon has flew right across our face. Probably this case. If i wouldn't have moved it, would it hit my face shopping for work experience and then you got taken out by a pigeon, not click pave new socks from nike and now we're going on h m. I want this, but i don't know if i can get it off there, so guys, i'm back home now and i've set everything out so that it's ready for when i go to work experience which is tomorrow - and i want to show you my outfit for tomorrow. So this is one of my outfits. I have these shorts they're like little tailored shorts. I thought they're quite cute and then what i'm going to do is i've got this top. So i'm going to put that on and then i'm going to put this like over the top of it so that you can see the color and you can see kind of the sleeves and then i'm i want to add this into it somewhere. I don't know if it's going to be on my head like attached here somewhere, i don't know, but then i've got my jordans and i might click my hair up with that like clip there, because i think that would look quite cute. I had this in my wardrobe and i've got this top because they said quite dark colors, but they said trendy, so i'm gon na wear these cargos with that top, because i think that would look quite cute with these buffalos. This is the actual outfit that i'm wearing tomorrow for the first day, and i was thinking i brought this headband from primark and i thought if i had like, maybe like two little bits down here and i put it like in there. I think it would look. Quite cute, and then i have these, which i bought from primark - this top is from zara and i thought that would be quite cute and then loads of them wear bands. In there i was debating whether to wear my vans or my jordans. I decided to go with vans, but we'll see in the morning like what goes with everything but anyways. That'S what i've got tomorrow and i'll show you tomorrow morning when i'm getting ready and doing all my hair and makeup. So they are some of my outfits. For my days at work experience, i'm obviously going with an all-black one tomorrow, so i can kind of get the vibe of like the people in there. So if they're wearing like bright colors or if they're wearing, like all black i'll, probably just go with their vibe instead, so i'm not set on all of these outfits but um, i'm quite nervous about tomorrow, because i don't really know what to expect. If i'm going to be sweeping the floors, if i'm going straight in, i might be washing somebody's hair on the first day. You never know, but i don't really know what to expect. So i'm just going to get there at 9 30 in the morning and just go with it and i'll be vlogging just on my phone um there, so that's exciting, so guys anyway. I need to go to sleep because i need to have a good rest and i'll see you guys in the morning when you'll be following me along my whole week at work. Experience nice good morning guys it's the first day of work experience so where the salon is there's like loads of shops, but i'm like quite confused. Do i have to bring my own lunch or like? Is there a lunch break where i can like go out and get maybe like a greg sausage roll or like something to eat um, i just don't know so i'll just get there and then, if not, i can just quickly run down to greg's get a sausage Roll that's my alarm to wake up, but um yeah. I need to get ready blacktop that i showed you guys last night, these leggings and then i've chosen to wear my vans with it and well, i didn't actually choose mum, chose um, yeah and then makeup looks like this i'll open this window now, so you can See wait for it to focus makeup. I'Ve only gone like makeup and then hair, i'm just leaving it natural because i, like my natural hair. So this is the full look. Okay, guys currently i'm in the car on my way to the salon to do work, experience and i'm just going to show you what i've got so i have my bag. It'S got. My epipen inhaler some little snacks because i do get quite hungry and i've got six pounds um just for like lunch money. If i want to go down to a greg's, because it's only one pound for a sausage roll which is pretty decent and then i have my massive water bottle, this is my um sodastream. I love sparkling water, fun fact about me: most people don't like sparkling water, but i absolutely love it. So i've got that 840 milliliters nearly a liter, so i'm gon na drink all that today, um and mum has told me that i actually need to. Like put my phone away in like my bag, so i'm not allowed to use it throughout the day um. So that's going to be quite challenging for me. Obviously, i'm going to do vlogs and stuff, but i'm not allowed to like text any of my friends um, but yeah i'm really excited. Overall, i've got the sheila on as well. I just thought why not, but i don't think i need it, because it's quite hot um but yeah i'm really excited but anyways, i'm gon na go and then i'll see you once i am in or about to go in the salon. Okay, by the way, i just need to tell you this. Obviously it's my first day in the salon and i am allowed to film in there, but i don't know how i'm going to feel like if i'm going to feel like nervous or like a bit funny to film in there. So i'm just going to get as much content as i can on the first day with me feeling like comfortable in doing that and then on the second day i'll be more comfortable with filming and everything. But i do know the people there, which is good. I can't wait for you guys to see the salon. It'S a lovely salon and um. I'M gon na be doing this all week, so i've got a whole week of filming with you guys, which is really exciting. So you can see my whole week at work. Experience really excited and, as i said, i think i might be getting my hair dyed brown, but i think that's a different video, so we'll see maybe this weekend day, one okay right. So it's like an hour in i'm in the staff room, and they just said that i can like wash somebody's hair help put like extensions in and stuff like that at the moment, i'm just watching and this lady called poppy and dye somebody's hair. Okay right, it's my lunch break and it's like 12, it's like 12, 45 um and i've like swept stuff, and they said that i can wash and blow dry somebody's hair if they come in and i put some tint on somebody's eyebrows. So that's quite cool um, but yeah, i'm getting a great snail right. I'Ve got my greg's in a league state. Now um, i'm walking to h m to get my to get my skirt all right, i'm going up now. I'Ve got my bag still at the moment, and i didn't know um, i'm in the kitchen and i've made myself a hot chocolate. I just washed somebody's hair and they said tomorrow, they're gon na get me like a doll and i'm gon na do like styles and everything i'm having so much fun right. Okay, so i've got like. I don't know. 15 minutes left until i'm going um yeah tomorrow is going to be even more fun, but i've had i've had a pretty decent day. To be honest, guys, i've just got back home go out to my room. My feet really hurt, but i need to get my outfit ready for tomorrow. I am so tired and my feet hurt so much apart from my feet, hurting so much. I'Ve literally had the best day ever also. It was mom's idea to wear vans because they're like trendy and everybody's wearing them at the moment, and i never really get to wear them, so i wore them today biggest mistake ever i'm never wearing them again. Um anyways moving on, i picked my outfit and i had like a good look around the salon and everybody is quite trendy um, but obviously i want to stay dark because, obviously i'm new in case i spill anything down myself. So i've actually chose that outfit over there, which i'll show you in a minute, but also i did actually get to tint someone's eyebrows today and i also got to wash somebody's hair, so that was really fun and tomorrow they said i can, as i said, they Said i can blow dry um and wash somebody's hair and wash some color out of someone's hair as well. So that's exciting. Anyway. Let me show you my outfit, so this is tomorrow's outfit. I actually tried it on and it's really nice just my buffalos and then cargos and this it's kind of like it's trendy, but then it's also really casual and then i've just got this jacket to go with it. It'S the same color as the shoes. So that's for tomorrow and that's for the next day i think, but i do need to chill out now so that my feet can rest so that i can actually walk in the morning because my feet hurt. So much. Is this what it's like to actually like? Do real life work my feet hurt so much i'm having to walk on the side of my foot like this, because this bit of my foot here is so tender, it's a joke. It hurts so much. I was actually on my feet for like eight hours today from half nine till half five and i'm not normally like that. I normally sit down for an hour every hour in the classroom, so you know i need to rest now guys. Anyway, we've got hard days of work tomorrow so day, two at work experience and i'm just getting ready. Okay right, here's my daily picture. I have these cargo pants on cargo trousers, this top, which is from fox, so these are from white books. These are from stratis various these are from buffalo and then this is from asanja. I'M just gon na wear this over the top yeah here's me, but it does look way better in person so guys. I'M downstairs now mommy's making me a crumpet at the moment and she's making me drink this, which is like a vitamin soaked in water and it actually tastes really nice, because i'm going to be on my feet all day. She said that i need to drink this. It'S quite sour: it's got like very citrusy taste to it and it's quite fizzy as well. It makes it fizzy, but um. Let me show you what's in my bag, so i have a drink because i actually left my soda stream there last night um. But it's just lucas a bottle um. This is my. I'Ve got a nectarine love nectarines, some jammy dodgers. In case i get hungry before my break. For my lunch break, my inhaler um my epipen, a lip gloss and then some spare change in case. I need it. Okay, guys so i've got a crumpet for breakfast mama's made me this and i don't think and like some of you actually know what a crumpet is, but basically it's a. I don't really know how to describe it. It kind of looks like a pancake on the inside. It'S got like loads of holes um, but it tastes like a piece of bread. It'S really cool, we just love crumpets here and then you put marmite on it, which is this really salty, spread. Some people don't like, but i you either love marmite or you hate it there's no in between and it's really good because all of the spread like melts down into the holes - and it goes all the way through, which is what i really love about crumpets and You have this with tea. That is why people say: oh i'm, having tea and come picks for breakfast or something like that. I'M just gon na show you the salad a bit. I'Ve got nails over here and then over here is like all products. There'S a desk and then salons behind here with, like all the basin and everything uh yeah alex just let me do her hair and i just curled it with ghds. This is how it looks. I am back in the staff room now and i'm quite peckish. So i'm going to eat some of my jammy dodgers um. I have washed a doll's hair. I'M now going to wash somebody else's hair and blow dry it. Her name is paint. She'S got pink hair she's, the one who works at reception um and then i curled alex's hair, as you saw okay right so um. I'Ve just done that i've just done page hair, which you saw and i'm now walking because i'm going home. No, i'm not because i forgot my bags at the moment, i'm getting like this much cut off. My hair mum doesn't know mom's not in the salon. So i'm getting my hair blow dried at the moment. Um yeah it's cut and then we're gon na dye. It later wash it again and then blow dry. It again alex is doing my hair using cold water to rinse out this stuff. That'S in there. What is it what's it like toner and then afterwards we dry it and we're here. We'Re done guys stay tuned. For my blonder brown, reverse balayage video next week, so turn them notification bells on guys. So, second day of having my hair, like it's more like a dirty blonde than brown, and i love it - i absolutely love it. I think it suits me a lot more, but it's my last day of work experience which is so sad, it's friday um, but i've brought them all krispy kreme donuts. Let me show you what ones are inside, so i brought a selection. I brought give me a sec. I brought you can kind of see them the sprinkles ones glaze and the strawberry and cream ones, because they're all like the best ones in there. So i got them for everybody to say. Thank you for like welcoming me and being like so nice and um yeah i'll film in the salon today. Hopefully i get to do some bits today on my last day um but they're all asking me to do like a saturday job there and i was like um i really want to, but i do have a busy schedule so we'll just see how it goes. But i will be doing like an apprenticeship there, which is when i leave year 11.. Instead of going to college or sixth form. I go straight to work and i do schooling whilst at work um - and i know somebody there, her name's charlie and this girl named holly they're, doing an apprenticeship and they're, really lovely they're, 17. um, but um yeah. I'M really excited for my last day, but i'm so sad because i don't want to leave and go back to school. Okay right, so i just went down to greg. So i'm gon na go down again to get a pizza because the pizzas weren't ready um, but i've got myself a coca-cola. Everyone keeps on looking at my hair and i have actually blow-dried a um short-haired person's hair with like this short, which is really nice, and everybody said i was really good and i know the shock as well. He said that i could start working on saturdays. If i wanted to - and everybody said their donations, i had a donut as well um and then this little girl recognised me. Whilst i was doing somebody's hair, she had a photo with me that was really funny. Um i've got an hour left until i have to leave. That'S one more donut left, that's the only donut, that's left so me and charlie. If they eat me on it just got my last lunch break got pepperoni pizza, i'm leaving guys. I just got home and i'm so sad that i've left i really want to go back, maybe even start a saturday job, guys, i'm back home now, and that was my last day at work experience. I am really sad, but i'm so happy that i got the chance to work in that salon, because i've had the best week ever i've got to wash people's hair. I'Ve got to blow dry people's hair. It was absolutely amazing and all of the staff there were so nice and just welcomed me in, and i just felt like i was at home. They have offered me a saturday job and a full apprenticeship which is really good, but i'm too busy making content for you guys, but hopefully later on. Maybe when i leave year 11 i'll get an apprenticeship there. So i've had such a good time and i really hope you guys liked watching me do it, and this goes to prove that work. Experience is actually a really good thing and you learn a lot from it. I also did have my hair cut and colored and i'm super happy with the end results. Obviously i have gone a bit more brown than usual because i was blonde before, but i love it. It feels so much more healthy and um yeah. I just had a really good time. I loved it there and i'm just so sad to leave so guys. That is the end of my work. Experience video and i really hope you guys liked it.
