Hello myone here and welcome back to another video for final fantasy 14, this time we're looking at brand new hairstyle added in patch 5.31. This is from the ishgard restoration, as you can probably tell a lot of these videos that all of them for a couple of days are going to be pretty much ishgard restoration related because that's the new hotness. But this new hairstyle is available from the nearby script. Vendor over in the firmament of ishgard, as you can see on the map here - and this will cost you 1800 scripts - basically, which isn't too bad, isn't too much of a grind to get towards which is basically like an hour in in the actual diadem gathering. Basically, in a bit of crafting and a bit of turn-ins - and you should have this no problem at all - so without further ado - let's get cracking. Let'S show this on me oni in the espherition and then maybe one of my alts all right, then here we are in the espeticion and uh. We'Ve got this lovely sort of gerdanian backdrop here i'll do for now. I guess doesn't matter as long as there's some light on this: let's get up and personal in meony's face and let's look at the brand new hairstyle, so the brand new hairstyle should be right at the bottom. It is called the modern aesthetics saintly style and it's not too bad. Surprisingly, i'm kind of surprised that i kind of like that a little bit, i usually really dislike short hairstyles. I mean it doesn't do a too many favors, but it's not the worst. Look. I'Ve ever seen, huh, that's not too bad. It'S got a sort of like mid-length situation where, where she's just had a haircut and it's sort of like spiky, maybe a bit of bed hair like you've just got out of bed. You know, and you haven't straightened your hair or anything. Yet it's not too bad. It'S not the best either. Is it by any sort of stretch of the imagination, obvious? Obviously, but yeah? I would imagine personally from my opinion, it would probably look better on my male character um, but yeah this. This sort of, like tufts of hair, are kind of unique i've not seen that before it's very much bed head, isn't it somebody did mention. It was a very similar to roxas from uh kingdom hearts. This hairstyle and i can't unsee that now personally, so i'm sure there'll be lots of people trying to recreate roxas in various videos. It looks alright in darker colors actually as well. Doesn'T it not too bad? I kind of like this part here this sort of what do you call this? It'S not a bang, is it is it called a bang where it comes over like this sort of like grown more on this side than it has on this side? The way it's styled, i don't know i've actually seen quite a few people with this hairstyle in real life or something quite similar, so um i mean i used to go to rock concerts and punk venues. So yeah, it's not really surprising. Incredibly, nice. Looking actually not my personal cup of tea but uh, some people they'll absolutely love this. So let's go for the traditional black hair. Then, with the highlights of let's get some pink highlights. Yeah there you go, look skater, chick, absolutely awesome. I really like that. Actually, the black, with the the pink highlights very cool, so what's left to do then, is to show you what this looks like on a male character um. I do actually have a male character, so let's switch over and take a look okay here we are on the male version of me, only believe it or not - and this is one of my alts and uh yeah. This is this is what it looks like. So let's have a pan round. Just with you know, the harass velga set that we looked at in a previous video there link will be in the description as usual to that. If you want to check that out, uh we're actually in meoni's uh old house in the old fc house room - i haven't been here in a very long time for filming, but uh. Here we are back in here. I just thought: it'd be an interesting thing to sort of show off again, it's been a very very very long time since i used this set so yeah, it looks pretty good on male characters. I actually really like this on on my um, my male makote here. I think, honestly, i might change this character's hair to this permanently. I think it's, i think it just suits really well, it's that sort of short, but not fully short hair. Honestly, i might have my hair in in real life like this, obviously not white, but i would probably have similar hair to this in real life. If i could um if i wanted to, but i don't really like growing my hair out that much anymore, because honestly, it's just too much upkeep, but that's that's completely uh, not the point of this video, but anyway, i think this looks absolutely awesome. Some people will disagree, obviously, and it is another short hairstyle and me myself. I would have loved to have yet another long hairstyle. We never seem to get long enough hairstyles because of obviously clipping things which, as we know, is a mute discussion and i always find it hilarious when they use it as an excuse for not putting in longer hairstyles but um, especially when so many other things clip In the game, anyway, why not right but uh? I suppose this is. This is probably um. You know, as close as we're we're going to get to a longer short hairstyle. If that makes any sense like a longer version of a short one, it would be nice to have one uh like hair, all the way down to your bottom uh to the to the lower part of your back, especially on a female character. But if we'll ever get that i have no idea, i know the of obviously the modding community loves to talk about that sort of stuff and having long hairs, but it would be really nice if we could get some baked into the game for once anyway. Hopefully this has given you a good idea of this hairstyle, and perhaps you might want to pick it up after seeing this video um. I don't think it's necessarily one of the worst hairstyles we've seen added to the game and we've certainly seen some pretty bad ones. In a previous few uh iterations of the game, but this furnishing design contest winner, i can see why it won one of the contest, design, entries and uh yeah. I'M quite happy to have this on my characters at least. Let me know what you think below if you've already purchased this or you plan. CeCe Kitty: We need long hairstyles and I'm not talking about the ones that we already have in-game through the character creation. We need long hair that can go pass our shoulders or a long braided side pony passing the chest area. I'm not too huge on short hairstyles myself and there seems to be A LOT of short hairstyles so I would REALLY LOVE to see some long ones added eventually.
smaller cathedrals: When they first explained why Viera and Hrothgar would be very limited in terms of hair and hats I completely understood. However, ... it's been a year now. And even if it proved to be impossible to make every hair and hat an option, they should've at least found a way to make it work with the latest pieces. It really lowers the overall appeal of the new races.
Sayuri: There are so many short, spikey hairstyles already. Something in the way of the Gyr Abanian Plait would be nice. Maybe with longer hair / more braids.
Moon Pool: there's "extreme lengths" or something at the gold saucer for 30,000 GP that covers the player's back at least with long hair. It's pretty good on my miquo'te girl, covers most back windows on my outfits. it's not hips length, but it's fairly close to that since it goes down to the model's back at least and covers the shoulder blades fully. Think that was added in when ShB was added, dunno though when specifically.
Kira Bee: I bought this for 400k for my alt male miqo on a whim (I don’t have any crafter’s/gatherer’s leveled on said character yet for Ishgard rest.). I was shocked at how much I actually like it. Paired with some glasses, it makes for an edgy/nerdy emo boy you’d see in high school back in the 2000’s and I am here for it.

zachy8 8: it looks good but I still prefer "style for hire", though I feel that grinding for 18k wolf marks in frontline non-stop fried my brain a little. I'm not sure I can do another frontline match ever again lol. Anyway thank you again for another good video it's nice to know what these hairstyles look like so I can decide ahead of time it really helps.

deckire: As a male midlander player, it has the same problems that I had with the Modern Legend and the Controlled Chaos hairstyle, the Side hair is not flushed enough to the head. It makes it feel lopsided and disjointed for me. I think a lot of these new short hairs look really nice on the female character but I can't get into them with my male characters

I can’t for the life of me understand how they allow clipping of hair from other characters and have the werewolf ears literally just cover Vieras bunny ears but they won’t do the same with everything else. I feel bad for people who are really trying to make it work with viewed limited hair and head accessories because I got so bored using the same glamor since I can’t experiment with any hats or helmets or different hairs that it gets old pretty fast. I’ll gladly switch back to Viera of they ever decide to to supposed the race.

WafflesMcCoy: I think the style itself is extremely cute, but Boy Oh Boy does it look like a bad jpg when you zoom in. I hope that's just some simple oversight that'll be fixed at some point, because the pixelation drives me way too bonkers to use it.

I'd love to see more braided styles, or anything more unique. Not to mention they almost always look terrible on male characters. The last good male hairstyle was that pvp one with the beads.
