“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

1 Corinthians 15:58

What'S up guys dre here, thank you for tuning in today, i'm just going to go ahead and give you guys a quick little update here on my hair growth journey. I believe it's been 15 months since i buzzed my head um. I remember i was rocking a kind of little a little kind of uh crew cut for a little bit until the top grew out long enough, um and then oh what'd. I do after that i started growing up the sides. I think i've only been growing out. The sides for eight months, so it hasn't been quite a year yet as far as the sides go now, i will be continuing this journey. So if you want to be alerted when i drop, these future updates be sure to subscribe and hit the notifications button. But anyways, let's go ahead and jump right into this. As you can see, the top front of my hair goes down almost to my chin, so it's roughly over seven inches or so the rest of the top of my hair is about an inch shorter. Finally, covering my ears, which is pretty cool, the sides are around four inches and kind of fade up into the top, as this goes pretty much for the back as well. Now, as far as styling goes now, as far as styling goes as you guys can see, i have been continuing with the slick back using pomade. Of course, this has been the only product that has actually had enough hole to keep my hair all into place, which has been great. This is my brand's newest product, and it was co-created with mike of modern man, tv and he absolutely just nailed it i'll, be sure to link the pomade down in the description below, along with a 25 off discount code. That will only be available for the next day or so so make sure you jump on that anyways now having hair as long as mine currently is right now, no matter what kind of product you use, it's always going to be a little more difficult to get The product, through your hair, when applying it, no matter if you use uh, wax wax especially pomade paste clay, don't matter, the application process will always be slightly more difficult opposed to. If you had just you know real short hair, like you, so a really cool little hack that i personally do that makes the application process so smooth. So easy and effortless is to apply a few drops of grooming oil to your pomade. I personally really really like mike's dauntless grooming oil, it's personally my favorite grooming oil and it definitely smells the best hands down. So if any of you are out there looking for a really nice grooming oil, i straight up beg you to use nothing else, but this one and if your hair is pretty dry at this point like mine, is here, you could also add a little water to It as well with our pomade i've noticed that it doesn't even really affect the hold. It just makes the application process that much more smooth, but again for those of you with shorter hair. You really don't got to worry about any of these little hacks, because you know this doesn't even concern you. The product is going to go in your hair, just fine, real, easy and something i just want to mention real briefly for those of you that have longer hair like i do right now. One thing that i had to get used to was applying product to the sides and back of my hair, because usually i got a fresh fade going on and i don't really have to apply product to the sides and back, and so i forgot this step early On while i was growing out, my hair and my hair just didn't look as good opposed to when i started applying that product to the sides and back of my hair. So this is a very easy step to skip. If you aren't used to this, if you're used to having longer hair another tip, if you really want to maximize the results of the hold and get the most hold out of this product, i've noticed that using a wide tooth comb and combing, your hair back really Locks your hair style into place. However, at the same time for me on a personal note, i don't really like the slicked comb back. Look it's just too proper for me and it looks like i, you know just got licked down by a cow or something so again. Just me on a personal note, i don't really like this slick back combat. Look, i just don't really think it fits my face. Shape, i prefer a more loose kind of finger, combed, look instead, so what i like to do is break it up. I like to you know, break it up mess it up, give it a little sexy texture. I also uh create a natural off-centered part just to give my hair some direction as you see here, and that's ultimately how i've been styling my hair, through that you know kind of awkward, growing out phase by the way. Just a quick update on my hair brand chavu things are really really moving quick for us right now. We feel really blessed. Uh amazon actually just gave us the amazon's choice, badge on our ocean clay product. So hey that was really cool to receive that honestly, we just feel crazy blessed that you guys are enjoying not only our clay but all of our other products as well. We'Ve also been working tirelessly with other brands, companies and distributors, and you know other countries to get our products sold all over the world. So for those of you that live outside of the us, you can get your shipping cost for a lot more cheaper. So be sure to stay updated with us on that on our instagram or you can become a part of the text community. Oh the shabu text. Community is kind of like this little inner circle that we've created for um. Those of you who want to receive special discounts special news and for those of you that want to try out new upcoming products before anybody else now before i go just for any newcomers that are just new to this channel here, um, my channel, isn't i mean Yeah we do a lot of hair videos, but it isn't solely based on that. We also cover men's fashion, grooming, fitness style lifestyle and just how to be an overall, better man, a more genuine man with solid character and and uh godly values anyways. I just wanted to update you guys, really quick on a book i have been actually i just got finished reading a lot of you asked me what i'm currently reading and so um this one right here is matthew, mcconaughey's green lights. I just finished up with it. This honestly is the i would have to say it's the best book i have ever read: hands down it's the most funnest book, i've ever read and i'll be sure to link it down in the description below. If you want to check it out. I believe this is uh. This is a great book just for all men and how to go about life. Now, a crazy thing that i learned about matthew mcconaughey when i was reading this book is simply just the fact that you know he had so much wisdom to give in this book. I mean this book. I, my level of wisdom has just went through the roof. After reading this sucker and the crazy thing about it, is that matthew mcconaughey he was, he never talked about sitting down and reading personal development books. He never talked about. You know watching youtube videos on how to uh uh. You know 10 tips on how to pick up girls or 15 tips on how to be more successful. None of that and not saying that reading books or watching youtube videos is a bad thing or a negative thing by any means. However, what i am saying is that, rather than just staying inside of his house all day, burying his head into books - or just you know, sitting there behind a computer screen watching you know tutorial videos on youtube. He instead just put himself out there. You know most of his wisdom was just from experience going out into the world going on adventures, connecting with others, making friends making good uh. You know creating good and healthy relationships and, overall, just putting himself out there allowing himself to fail allowing himself to learn the hard way right and um. This is something i'm definitely trying to kind of do myself. Lately, elisha long the other day, one of my mentors somebody that i watched religiously on youtube. He actually made a video that kind of reminded me of what i learned from this book and that was um. He was saying in the video he said: do we really need 12 more rules? Do we really need 12 more tips on self-improvement? Do we really need 12 more books on on uh? You know just how to go about life and trying to find that little that next little uh golden nugget of information from our favorite youtuber and like elisha um, hey. Sometimes he makes a lot of videos. But there are some weeks that go by where he also doesn't. You might not see him for a week and then he might come back with like 10 videos in a few days. It'S crazy but like elisha, hey, uh, i've been finding myself and maybe you guys as well have been kind of noticing um that i me personally, i haven't even been posting as much as i typically do lately and so just to be honest with you guys, i've Noticed um this last year, 200 2020. I'Ve noticed that a lot of my content, starting to get very repetitive - and i just i was saying the same tips just in a different way, and i thought to myself. I was just like how many hair videos can i make about the same hair tips and how many i mean. I only have so many tips on how to talk to a girl how to treat a woman um. It'S like all the same information just said in a different way, just to get more. To be honest, you know, with myself and with you guys a lot of us youtubers do this. We repeat the same information just to get more views more subscribers to stay relevant to stay in people's faces right, and you know just all that superficial stuff, and so i finally found this piece in my heart that i've never had before. Usually, if i have hadn't got, got out a video within five to seven days, usually by now i'd be just losing it just stressing out, right and, and my life would be consumed by just you know, i got ta get out more content got to get out More and more i'd build up this fear and stress and anxiety, but now i've i've found this peace like i've said and honestly uh elijah long has taught me that hey. If i don't have nothing to say this week, i don't have nothing to say it's. Okay, there's no need to create more content, more repetitive, content that i've already talked about before, just to stay relevant and just to you know, continue making money and getting views. I mean honestly, that's just it's superficial as hell and no disrespect to any of the other big youtubers out there that are hustling and grinding every single day getting out content. I just know for me on a personal note. I can't live with myself if i'm not being genuine to the calling god has placed in my heart. So if a few weeks go by and i haven't created the video - hey - it's okay, it's okay! If i have nothing to say that week or the week after that, it's okay, yeah uh to just shut up and live my own freaking life. You know - and i think a lot of us dudes need to start doing this. You know it's okay, to shut down the computer to shut the book, put the book away back on the shelf to take out the earbuds, stop the podcast and instead take what you've learned from those things and to now apply it to go out. Put yourself out there into the world to go out and apply those things experience life in most cases like matthew, mcconaughey in his book life was his biggest teacher right. All this wisdom in this book wasn't from some other book. It wasn't from some 15 step tip hack, video on youtube, nah man. It was from life life experience. It was from putting himself out there so with that said, i hope you guys enjoyed today's video. I encourage you um right now now that you finish this video shut, the laptop turn off your phone, whatever you're, watching on and go out and just make somebody's day today go out and just put yourself out there talk to somebody new connect with someone that you Wouldn'T typically ever really desire to connect with, i don't know, maybe life can teach you something today, all right. So hey! I appreciate you guys. I appreciate you watching and i'll talk to you very soon. My name is judge axler peace, always

Kooper Seewald: Really needed that end of video preach Dre. Moffstang: You're videos have been real helpful, man. I'm currently about 2 months into growing my hair from ot being shaved completely bald. It's about the length of a number 3 or 4 now and i still fade the back and sides to keep it looking abit better while it's growing out.

phoreignOutcast: I’ve been growing my hair out for 1 year and 9 months it definitely takes a lot of patience and it’s my first time having a man bun

Mitch F: That’s the exact look I wanna go for!! Looks great!

Jonathan Anderson: Hey, I’m loving this channel. I have been watching you for only 2 months but the positive and the principles you teach are so amazing. (Also I’m about to get some conditioner and shampoo from your shop, I’m excited to try it!) Stay blessed

marco hernandez: I’m trying to grow out my hair just like yours and I’ve been looking for hair product for months and I’ve finally found, thank you!

Quailos: I shaved my head around the same time as you so it’s cool it’s like I’m going on this growth journey with you. Only my hair is crazy curly so it still looks short lol

Devanshu Bhatt: Dre you are true inspiration for me, except teaching fashion, you teach spiritual tips and that's what makes you different ❤

Jamie: Literally so close to achieving this and it suits me. Finally. After all these years of trying hair styles I should of just gone for the one I had when I was a kid

13bahram: This hairstyle definitely suits u, I wish my parents let me grow my hair this long lmao, Keep up the content Dre!

Matt Thompson: Hey Dre! I’ve been growing out my hair for about 6-7 months now. If you could approve and read my Facebook post in our group ASAP, that would really help! Thanks!

Thomas Shelby: i have a special place in my heart for dre. what a guy.

Zarul Zaqwan: Im on the verge of cutting my hair and suddenly your video pops, and reaffirm my objective to grow out my hair longer. We are at the same length now. Thank you!

Đỗ An: glad to see u once again on your channel. I extremely hope to watch a new video about personal relationship, which is something I particularly have a soft spot for in your channel. Anw, I value all things you’ve been sharing. Keep it up for more, my brother

andrew kelly: Your hair looks great long

Upman Bhattacharea: Putting yourself out there ,& allowing yourself to fail;learn the hard way

daniel zhang: I genuinely love your recent video when you talk about life. I’ve learnt so much from you lately.

Ethan Turner-smith: Great video Dre, always look forward to seeing you new videos

Simon Myway: Hey Dre, looking good! I buzz cuted at the same time and been growing since. I really like styling my hair with products but then I have to wash them. How do you cope with washing your hair after applying product? Are you washing them daily?

Harshit Sahu: I Buzzed mine 3-4 months before . Looking forward to grow it like yours

Seb Reed: I just got a buzz cut and now I’m going from one extreme to the other and I’m going to grow it out, wish me luck lol

Lalchhingpuii Cruz: No doubt you look amazing with long hair .

Antriksh Singh: I am growing my hair since march 2020 i started with a buzz cut just like drexler. Now after an year i got 7inches from every part. Started with Dre ❤ journey

arash rezvani: hey man im growing out my hair too and i did a buzzcut about 11 months and i havnt cut any part of my hair yet and the back of my hair looks really weird and its much longer than the side and the front of my hair, do you think i should cut the back a little bit or just grow everything evenly???

the nimble tester: I’m really struggling to grow my hair out. I am 30 now and usually get a skin fade to hide grey hairs I have on the side of my head! With lockdown my hair has grown and I’m approaching the 4 month mark! I have quite a few greys in amongst my dark brown hair now which doesn’t look great but I don’t want to dye it lol also my hairs naturally frizzy so I’ve always used hair straighteners to tame it even with a shirt fade I would straighten the front upwards! This has meant the longer my hair gets the more I have to straighten and it’s so damaged with split ends now it’s sucks lol think I personally have to go back to the skin fade when I can get a cut again rather than obtain the dream man bun lol

LifeOfNate: Imagine being his wife and having your husband looking like Dave Franco and Penn Badgley from YOU. He’s a handsome guy!

Lukes Adventure: Hey bro you've helped me spiritually, mentally, and physically man. I've been watching your videos for over 2 years now man and I can't thank you enough. Was just wondering though, what type of body was do you use and other body products to use in the shower. Thank you so much man, much appreciated.

T. Rover: Love the content Dre. Quality over quantity any day....

Oskar: i've shaved my head a year ago, i've been growing it out since then and I'm rocking a middle part, I'm getting tired of long hair, of course, it looks good, it's easier to maintain than for example pompadour, but I just want something different, I wanted a man bun for a few years now but I don't want it anymore, I'm also afraid of shaving my head again because I'm afraid I will regret it, I don't know what to do

jabroni master: can you do a full tutorial of how to style your hair like that please? I pretty much have the exact same hairstyle as you right now lol

Enni: Thank you Bro, your wisdom besides the hair tips was very refreshing. Keep it up and god bless

Imaad: It's been more than a year since I started growing my hair out. It's wavy.. almost like harry styles. I can style my hair like him when the hair's wet. But then it starts drying which is natural. My question is, how can I pull off that wet hair look for a much longer time? Like 4-5 hours... And can mousse help me? Please answer Love from India♥️

Glnn /\: I think the long hair looks really dope on you man!

WOLFEE: 6 months of hairgrowth can't wait to get long hair btw love ur videos dre

Micah Dixon: This is probably the best hairstyle ive seen you have, looks good bro

RJ Carter: I thought you looked very handsome with the buzz cut. You will look awesome with long hair, too--you have nice hair. It will be very nice after another 12-18 months of growing.

Max Nlh: Love your videos I watch every single one keep up the hard work bro

Lupillo Rivera: hey man love the vids what product would you recommend for stubborn side hairs that is puffy and won’t down perm?

Alex Thomason: I buzzed my hair around the same time you did and I’ve been growing it out since; only been like 3 months on the sides tho

AL NZ: Great video!!I have a question about the oil cleanser. How long should i lather it on my hair?Is it the same like when using regular shampoo?

Nash: dude could convince me to get any haircut because every style looks good on him

The Brick Lord: The awquard stage sucked for me but 22 months (a Year and 10 months) after my last haircut I'm rocking the long hair and Lettin' in Ride!

Aleks ontheroad: Great message. Life always be the best teacher, thanks for reminding me and sharing those words

bhavin thakur: This man can rock any hair style ....

StraightFlush: I'm growing my hair out aswell but I freak out whenever I wash, comb or style my longer hair because there is literally so much hair in my comb, sink or hands which was definetely not the case when I had shorter hair. Its like sometimes up to 60 hairs during washing and styling that falls out. And it does not look like I'm balding at all, I'm also young. Is that the case for you aswell Dre?

Tubax: Drexler please grow it out until it's shoulder length (for another year and half) I would love to see how it looks on you and how you would personally style it. I enjoy your content even though I have very wavy hair, it's just fun to see the journey of a guy with pin straight hair like you.

Aliz: Honestly your skills made your awkward stage the most attractive hairstyle ive ever witnessed❤❤

Amin M: Bro I grew my hair back in 2018 and it absolutely didn’t look good . I’m august 2020 I had to cut it short because it was becoming really bad . Long hair doesn’t suit everybody unfortunately. And some people can’t let it grow so you’re lucky to have such thick hair .

Hassan: Guys do you have any advice for growing your hair out after a buzzcut. I had a Buzzcut about 1 and a half weeks ago and I regret doing it because I wanted to grow my hair out. Should I cut the sides and back when growing it out or should I leave it as it is? (Obviously I have to wait months before it turns relatively long but just general advice would be great)

John Kay: Bro, have you ever had a bad hair day in your life?? Keep up the great content.

Gilmer Gene L. Villamor: for me using hair products with long hair is such a hassle it's better to leave it falling down or tying it. the long hair looks really good on you tho with or without products. (been growing mine for 13 months and it's in my upper chest)

Justin Siever: Looks sick I’ve got a similar style right now but a bit shorter sides and back 3 inch sides 6 inch top and I’m loving it

Yimleej Vihokratana: ❤ @ 0:23 no lie I've been doing that too, lately. I love your hair growing out journey .

Jywell Torres: Dreeeee you can rock a modern mullet must give it a try

monn.y: Thanks for always being honest

Sashaul Distuns: I think you should all try to learn some self-awareness with how others might perceive your actual actions and a little bit of paranoia does not hurt as long as you’re going to go out in the world to willfully finding your own way. Share your journeys

Jywell Torres: Thanks for inspiring us dre love from Philippines

Muneeb Syed: His awkward stage looks better than my " best stage "

Evans Kaci: Heyy I am curious, does a mousse help straight hair become slightly wavy? I buzzed cut my hair and I wanna grow my hair to make the Cole Sprouse haircut.

Fhhjff: Love ur speech man keep learning new always hope the best for u

Jimmy Walker: Hey man, I have a long nose, and I’ve been thinking I want a hairstyle that’s about 2-3 inches on the top, and a natural look on the sides, but clean. Any advice?

KianPickleMan: Is it okay to sleep with pomade on your hair? Or do you have to wash it out before you sleep?

Fuengo: Hey Dre so I have a pretty receding hairline it looks kind of like you , (not trying to saying you have one) but it looks kind of like yours. I'm only 17 years old and I was just wondering if there's anything I can do to stop receding if there is any products that your brand sells for it or what you recommend in general. Much love, just purchased the pomade :D

Dominik Duró: I love the hairstyle, but i wouldnt use pomade. You should only use sea salt spray on long hair

Rohan Karanwal: Been growing out from a buzz cut for about 7 months now and my hair looks like a mix between a poorly cut mullet and a wannabe hillbilly cut

Chino's Corner: Will this product work on medium long curly hair?

Arran Jakhu: Glad to hear that Shehvoo shipping costs are going down. For me in the UK they were just too expensive

Nigel Shahbaz: I would recommend not putting in the product in your hair cause it is quite long and looks much better with it being natural. Other than that, it looks awesome!

Shubham Kushwaha: Rock this look brother, you and Alex costa are going the same path.

Salim Oua: You look good with the buzzcut

josh mcdonald: how did you grow you hair so healthy

NEVERMIND: I wish my hair could slick back like yours but it always wants to be in my face

Sophie x: Nice Video, keep going Bro ❤️

Ben: Remember quality over quantity, take care bro ❤️

JREAD: I feel like you should maybe expand on the lifestyle aspect. Like how you deal with your social anxiety, self love, getting out of ruts.

Robit Thapa: Yo dre time to get that man bun now.. hope u keep growing it..

MetalSlug _: Your long hair looks great!! consider yourself lucky to be a norwood 1 and still have good hair density. Some guys yr age are already bald...

FrozenDoberman: Alex Costa also growing hair longer than ever before. Growing hair out, and cutting it at home has never been so popular since COVID began.

OmarTheCupOfTea: I think the best way to grow ur hair when u feel that u are feeling bored enough of buzzcut/short hair i recommend to buzz it as long as u want to do that

jazib chohan: I can grow my hair too but my hair is very thick it looks so frizzy and rough so what should i do that i can also grow my hair from sides

Jackson Kwong: Looks great Dre, goals

Lite: My hair is like 7 inches long almost 7 and a half in some days its starting to hit hard now on a awakard stage

Tom_idk: I have the same hairtype as you though it is on the more finer side. Im currently rocking a middle part but I think I will style it like your because it started to be the same length as you

Syed Salman: Hey Dre!! I got same hairstyle boi <3 Good day bro :)

Clams: I’d really like to see the grow out process. Like the ways you styled it between the buzz and this. I’d like to try but idk what to do and still look professional.

messy hairs: Growing since one year and 3 months. Quite long now

Erik Malcolm: Damn I’m upset just cut my 7 month slick back mullet type thing idk what it was called it looked kinda like yours just shorter on the top but still longer than my back hair and now I’m back to square one with an undercut I have wavy hair and idk what kinda of hairstyle to go with

Tom kicks: Your hair is looking sick been growing mine for 6 months
