Two To Make Your Wig Bigger! | Ft. Rpg Show

Today'S video [ Laughter, ], hey everyone and welcome back in today's video, i'm gon na, be taking y'all through how i got my wig that didn't really fit me to fit my head perfectly. Let'S get through together, here's exactly what you'll need a pair of scissors, an elastic band. You can get this from any beauty, supply store and amazon and, most importantly, thread and a needle, also a big. Let'S get this wig to fit our head so step, one put the wig on comfortably and use the elastic band to measure how much extra room you'll need. Okay, so i got my elastic band. My wig is actually sitting comfortably right here. We got a lot of room: it'll be okay, i'm just gon na take this elastic band, starting from the hairline of the wig to in front of my hairline so right about there. So this is how much i've measured that i'll need, but just to be safe. I'M gon na move my fingers out a bit right about. There is how much i'm gon na cut off so to prepare for step two go ahead and take that wig off and you're gon na to flip the wig completely inside out. So now focus your attention to the base of your wig, where there should be elastic bands. This band right here is what we'll be customizing step: 2 pull the elastic band, that's on the wig as far out as you can and then use a clip or pin to be sure that it doesn't snap back on you once that elastic is set. We'Re gon na go ahead and cut the ending hook, piece off, be sure to leave a little room and not cut too close to the hook, because we still want this piece to be usable once your cutting is done now, it's time to create that extension. For a wider cap step 3 make sure that your extra elastic band piece matches the thickness of the elastic band on the wig. Now you can see clearly how this extra elastic band is gon na work like a bridge step. Four, taking this step slowly sew the extra piece of elastic like a bridge onto the band, that's connected to the wig and i'm not using any special technique. This is just sewing, regular, sewing, be sure to double and triple knot the thread, so this band remains strong and usable once you sew the first end on just give it a little tug to be sure that it's sewn on and it's secure once you're comfortable with How secure that first end is move on to step five, which is sewing the wig hook that we cut off earlier onto the other end of this newly added elastic band once each end is sewn on and you've done, the pull test go ahead and remove what Was holding the band which, in my case, is this green heart needle and gently stretch the wig out, so that the elastic can move back into that sleeve? Once step five is done, you can clearly see how much extra room was added by adding that elastic band. Now all i'm going to do is repeat these same steps with the elastic on the other side. Okay, please fit! This is the moment of truth. Okay, here it goes okay, okay, so that is a pretty big difference. There'S still a little bit of my hair, that's peeking out, let's compare with before right here in front and after impress i'm impressed, the elastic band definitely made the cat bigger. I would have to go in and create little holes for it to reach in front of my hairline. I actually want to add a few little cuts in the wig just to see if that will help cover the remaining part of my edges. I'M always a little hesitant to do this, though, because once you mess up the construction of a wig, i mean as far as like the inside construction. Sometimes you you just cause some irreversible damage, but i'm gon na go in and right by these ear, flaps i'm gon na create a few incisions. So, as you can see on the outside of the wig, it looks like that on the inside. It looks like this. I'M gon na create a little cut right there, just like that. You might have to do a couple cuts and then keep trying it back on to see if it's actually working. But if you do want to create more incisions, i suggest not doing them so close together, but in different areas of the wig just so that the holes won't meet each other and expand completely oh she's, being real risky today, she's being real risky. Let'S see if that added, oh and these, i might have to cut these elastic bands off, but let's see, if that added any extra, any extra room for me hell yes, here with my edges, pushed back boom boom and all i had to do was one cut Right here and one cut right here period, can we get the before about done myself? Okay, before i end this video, i just want to go ahead and remove this lace to show you guys what it looks like here we go. So that is how you make your wig bigger. If it arrives too small, i feel like my hot girl summer just got activated. I am just so happy this worked out, so i went ahead and put a little water and leave-in conditioner just to tame the hair.
