Hey guys, it's your girl, Fontaine and I'm here to show you all how I achieved this faux. Locs look. It is actually a wig and it took me ten hours to complete this look. I did it from 8 p.m. Friday night till 6 a.m. Saturday morning, and let me tell you it was a process, but I am so happy with the results, because that same day Saturday, I ended up going to Austin for South by Southwest, and this one here Was a showstopper and I absolutely love this hairstyle in another video, I'm going to show you all how I style it because it's a wig I can do so much with my hair, underneath I can still take care of my hair like I normally do, and I Don'T have to worry about my edges getting snatched off because the last time I did faux locs, which is last year. I did it on my real hair and let me tell you like the right side of my head, the edges weren't. Absolutely on so tell myself. I would never do it again, but once I found out that it can be done on a wake up, it is a way I'm going to show you all how to achieve it. It wasn't a traditional way of doing it because I didn't have a full lace. Wig, but you know you got to make it work, you got to make do with what you got and I'm not gon na lie. It is kind of heavy because it is super long and but outside of that, like okay, I love this hair and I'm ready to get to that using a dumb cap on my mannequin head, I apply my 360 for a nova childless, where I got it from Below I pin it down and I just show the perimeter of the front hold to the cap next, I pull the dome cap so that the frontal is kind of at the top of the mannequin head so that I can work with it a little easier as You can see this is a full 360 frontal. I then take out the baby hair said I will eventually trim and cut, and I'm going to want to braid it down, so that it is out of my way. I just kind of I to see how big I want my parts to be. It depends on how many one and I'll spaced out you want it. I used Knorr afro twist braid in the colors 27, m27 613 as well as 613. I kind of wanted a ombre look. I use expressions to braid down the hair. I can braid it as far down as you might. I just braided mine all the way past where the hair stops. This was a 16 inch frontal in some places. I used 27. First and then others, I just started off with the m27 613 and I just wrapped it all around, and then I tied a knot and I got the 613 just to wrap that around as well all the way to the bottom and while I'm going through it, I use a lighter to kind of just seal it in do the same thing on all of them. This one I started off with the 27 and I just moved along. Eventually, I will cut off the extra lace - that's on there, so this is where it gets interesting attach the second 360 frontal and I cut it in half - and I just kind of sew it down. Eventually, all that excess lace. I do go back through and cut it out and then I take a piece from the hair and kind of like wrap it around where the lining is so that you can't see the lace being extremely innovative, because I did not have an actual full lace. Wig - and I just do that all around the cut and join of the frontal actually worked out for me, so I low-key made my own full lace wig with two 360 frontals. I am completely been 10 hours later and I have to say it was a long process, but it was definitely worth it.
