Hey guys welcome back to my channel and today we're gon na get into this nice funky mohawk that i did on a full lace wig only using the boho lace tape guide. This is on here. She is not going anywhere and i only use the bow hold tape. This is how it started. I used the purple haze by manic, panic and the infrared by manic panic. I actually did a pre-lightening using a soap cap and i'll tag, a video above, so you guys know how to perform a soap cap. Then i added the red and the purple okay, so first thing you want to do is section the hair off so that you know exactly the areas that are going to be cut and nothing is getting in your way. So i'm actually going down on both sides making sure it's even the amount that i'm taking out is going to be even on the left and the right side. Okay, so if you notice, i braided the hairline portion out so that i can cut that last, i want to make sure i leave myself enough hair, where i can fringe around the entire actual hair piece, so that you know if i have something that i need To cover to make it look as real as possible, okay, so if it's your first time doing something like this go ahead and take your scissors and just cut off the area, just cut it down, so you can at least see like what you're doing that way. You won't be, you know you won't feel intimidated by doing this cut okay. So what i'm doing here is i'm using my number two guard on my clippers. You can actually use a comb and clippers. That'S my favorite, but if you're really like a little nervous about what you're doing you can do your clippers and put a guard on it, i got the number two guard on it. You can move from a number two to a number one. Just until you get comfortable, but i feel like this right here will you know bring you some type of you know comfort in what you're doing so you don't bald it and then those lines i had braided this week. I had like something going on with this week, so don't mind those parts they're gon na go away when i mold it, but i'm just going down and making sure that i get everything at the same length and i'm just cutting it down. As far as i can get it to make it look as natural when i go ahead, to lay it and mold it okay. So what i'm doing now is i'm just going up and making sure that i get every little piece of hair cut down to the length that i want it to be after i'm finished with that, then i'm gon na go ahead and i'm going to take my Razor to start blending the hairline portion. Now, if you're going to put this on someone, you can do it on them, but i actually know exactly like where i want this to be. This will help cover the lace and things like that, because i don't want it. You know to be really short. I wanted to give it like a jagged look around the hairline okay. So now i'm ready to start cutting the mid section of this mohawk. I'M just going to go ahead and cut it to the length where i want that mo hawk to start and then i'll start pulling everything out at 90 degrees so that i can layer the top. Everything will just be a traveling guy, i'll use that bottom piece and i'll bring everything to that bottom piece and just continue to cut all the way up to the top, so that it is giving a layer and even cut okay. So for the area towards the top, i'm going to pull everything to the back right here where the occipital bone is that's the meaty portion of the back of the head. That kind of sticks out. So i want that to be a little longer, so i'm pulling you'll notice, i'm pulling that hair back, because i kind of want it to be a little big right there. So with me pulling it back at that angle, i have more hair in the top okay. So now that i have that established - and everything is exactly where i want it to be now - i'm going to focus on making sure that the front is cut at the length that i want it to be. So i'm going to bring that forward and then i'll blend everything else with the back do okay, so i'm going to go in with my eco styling gel. I always use gel when i mold my short looks for my wigs, because with this hair you want to make sure it is laying flat as possible. This is going to make it look as natural as possible, so i'm gon na use that you can also use mousse mix with the actual gel i feel like it gives it a really nice. You know sleek, look so and then okay, so while the wig is drying, i'm gon na go ahead and mow. My wig cap down using my bow hole liquid gold. Since i have to actually tape around the entire head, i'm going to go ahead and mold the entire stocking cap. I love using the liquid gold because it's going to make sure that the wig cap does not move and you guys don't have to waste your bottles of glue, trying to hold your wig cap down right here. I'M going ahead, i'm just cutting it. You can actually watch my other videos on how i do my molding of my ball caps. Okay, so this is what it looks like when it's dry, i probably still have more to cut and that's fine, but for the most part, it's basically done all. I have to do is cut my lace, i'm just using regular scissors. Actually, this lace does not match my skin, but i'm not worried about it, because the edge or hairline of the lace is not going to be showing remember. I cut a fringe around this entire wig, that's coming forward, if you notice here, so i don't have to worry about that being a problem for this type of style, okay, guys so now, you're going to clean your scalp before we get ready to install we're going To be using our bow hole, lace, tape. What you want to do guys is peel a piece of that block off guys and you have to watch how you're cutting it cut against the actual line. That'S there so that when you do go ahead and apply the tape to the skin, it's easy to remove that slit needs to be in the middle and i'll show you here. When i place it on my skin, it actually has the slit there so that you can take your tweezers or your fingernail and you'll be able to pull that actual tape from the middle okay. So i placed the tape around the entire front, but i didn't do any in the back, because i put it on the actual wig since i'll be doing this install myself, it'll just be easier for me to do it. This way. That way, you know as i'm reaching back in the back. I don't have to worry about. You know placing it in the wrong area since i'm doing myself, okay, so i'm actually gon na start in the back. I already pulled the white tabs off and i actually turned around, so you guys can see it and i am putting it on myself. This is just easier for me. You could try it the other way. I'Ve done it both ways, but this is just easier for me. Okay, so now i can start removing the tabs. Look how easy it is to remove these tabs. If you cut it right place it on the skin properly you're not going to have any issues using the bold hole, lace, tape me and then thank you guys for watching make sure you subscribe comment and like below you.
