Welcome Back Curlfriends Today, I'm going to show you guys how to create these two French Braids., I'm starting off on stretched hair. If you're a beginner at this no worries I'll, be showing you guys exactly how to achieve this very simply.. You want to make sure that your hair is extremely detangled.. You don't want any type of snags or your fingers to get caught while you're trying to braid your hair., Because I'm doing the two braids I went ahead and split my hair straight down the middle. Using a rat tail comb. Now, if you have someone around you, obviously you could get them to help you out making this part super straight., If not just use the end of the rat tail comb to get a semi-straight parting.. You want to begin with the part of your hair, that is the non-dominant side., I'm right handed. So I'm going to start on my left side., I'm just using this hair butter by MyDNA Curls to moisturize my hair., I'm just going to use a paddle brush to really get this product throughout my hair to make it nice and smooth.. If you're watching this video. I'M assuming that you've already watch my how to plait video.. If you watched that video, you are aware that you need to have 3 pieces. You're going to have a left right and middle piece. The right side will be the first section, you'll grab.. It will move to the middle.. The left section will then rotate into the middle., So you're pretty much just rotating the left and right pieces to the middle section and grabbing hair as you go. So you're, just adding in hair to the right and left pieces. Only.. Here'S a slow-mo of exactly what I'm doing., So I have the left piece going into the middle. The right piece now going into the middle., The left piece going into the middle and I'm grabbing hair with that left piece again, as well as the right piece.. It'S a really simple technique. Guys., I promise you its super easy to achieve., Just pretty much practice the hand, motions of grabbing hair as you go.. Once you get the technique down, you can go ahead and actually style your hair., Because I'm going to be wearing this as an actual style, I'm going to add in some Eco Styler Gel, as well as my Boar Bristle brush to smooth everything down.. I am basing my hair with the Eco Styler along my hairline, as well as the actual parting. I'm just going to French braid. My hair straight back., Like I said, you're pretty much just rotating the right piece to the middle. The left piece to the middle., As you are moving these pieces to the middle. You are adding in just a small bit of hair. Because I am going to be wearing this out. I did take a much longer time on this french braid.. I took much smaller sections that way I can get a nice defined french braid., The larger the section of hair that you take, the looser the braid will come out., The smaller the section of hair that you take, the more defined and more rippled effect that you'll Get with you're actual braid. Once you get to the back, it's pretty much a simple plait.! If you watched the `` How to Plait Hair'' video you'll have this technique down.! Now I can move on to the right side and just finish off my hairstyle.. The difference between a Cornrow and a French Braid is the French braid is like a inverted braid.. It'S super flat, whereas the actual cornrow braid is a 3D Braid.. It will stick outside of your head. Vs, the French braid., So French braids are really great for if you have a lot of thick hair and you're wanting to protective style under the wig or something.. If you want your hair to be super flat, this would be the perfect braiding technique to choose.. Last but not least, our entire style is finished., So I'm just going to lay down those baby hairs.. This is totally optional.. You guys know. I love to slick down. My baby hairs. Here is the final product. Super easy right, So I hope you guys enjoyed this video., Be sure to comment below what you think about the tutorials.. Are they helpful? Am I breaking it down easy enough, Be sure to check out my `` How to Plait Hair'' video. As well as subscribe, to become a Curlfriend and get notified of all of my upcoming uploads? I love you guys and I'll see you guys in the next one.

Gabrielle Morris: Great tutorial I can't do these to save my life lol but hopefully I'll get it now

gravityclarity: It looks so easy. But I can't do it

Sarah Omer: I've been trying to perfect the French braid and I have seen many other videos but this one helped the most!!! I learned the French braid properly in only 3 days!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!

Tiffany Walls: Thank you so much for this tutorial! I never got the “I can braid” gene and was never taught. This tutorial was SO HELPFUL. For anyone else struggling, I suggest blocking off some time, maybe just an hour or two and just trying. Most of us know what it’s like to plait hair, but the pickup/add in is where we lose it. Just try a couple attempts at a FULL BRAID (that’s where I messed up because I would quit 1/4 of the way through). That will get your hands comfortable with the motion. It might not be pretty or as tight as you want it, but you’ll get familiar with the feeling of gripping your hair, if you are more comfortable dealing with slightly damp or dry hair, and how much/little hair you feel comfortable trying to manipulate! For me, it’s most helpful when my hair is stretched for now. Good luck! I’ve been doing decently at it for a couple weeks. It gets better every time! You got this!

Nelly B.: looks at hands, looks at hair... i can't do this shit.. lol... but it looks lovely

Kate O'Donnell: Thank you so much!!! This was so helpful and the first time doing my little girls hair was a complete success!!

Kat Fml: YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY AND PERFECT OML ME AND MY UNCOORDINATED HANDS JUST FAIL

Rey: Hey curly friends. You may think that this is really hard , especially if you’re influenced by all the struggling commenters, but trust me it’s so easy if you just go really slow. I got it on my first try because I did it slow. And even if you don’t get it at first you will definitely get it eventually, just keep trying

Q. MeChelle: Thank you!!!! I'm able to braid now thanks to you !!!!!!

So you showing us how to do it really makes it easier for me, I’m glad i found you!!

Olusolape: Thanks I got it on my hair. I'm super excited. Though the part focused on the actual technique was too fast and rather short . I had to replay a couple of times.
