Grwm | Sleek Low Braid On Very Short Natural Type 4 Hair

Hey you guys welcome back to my channel, as you guys can tell by today's top of this stuff, i'm going to be showing you guys, basically how i do my um braided side, part ponytail, sleek little ponytail with um weave. Now i've had this for a little minute, my flattering burnt a hole in the bag, so yeah, but um before we get into this video if you're new, my name is eva and recently i baked out my hair. So you really can't see it up under here. So i'll take it off. It'S really short, i'm using wrong with short hair, but it's just an adjustment. You know i'm saying but um. I did another video like probably a week ago or something like that and you guys liked. The y'all wanted y'all said: y'all wanted more hairstyles of me, styling, my hair. So that's what i'm going to be doing so today we're going to be getting ready with me to go out, and you know just to just that type of stuff, because who want to wear weave all the time i don't like wearing wigs. Personally, i do not want to wear wigs every day. That'S just not something i would want to do, but yeah before we get into the video the things you're going to need in this video is your choice, type of gel some clips, because i'm going to show you why we need the clips, because our hair is Shorter, like my hair, is short short, sharp i'll finish, all y'all, but um. What else you're gon na need you're gon na need a lot of hair ties. So any hair ties of your choice. Anything of your choice me personally, i use the cotton ones they have. These at the beauty supply store, they do come in bigger sizes if your hair is longer or thicker or whatever, but yeah. So let's just go ahead right into the video. So this is what my hair is looking like: it's freshly washed. So you know it's a little damp and wet in certain areas, but um. If you guys watched my last, you already know we're finna. Do we finish sectioning this off in sections? So if you are new and you didn't watch the last video, what you want to do is go through and section your hair off in sections now um, like i said in the last one, the um. What is it i keep saying? Um, the part does not matter if it's crooked or straight nobody's gon na be looking at the part. Trust me you're, not even gon na, be able to see the part so um. This is where the clips come in handy, where i was telling you guys. You'Re gon na need some clips. So what you wan na do is grab your clips. I'M gon na turn around and show you guys what it's looking like in the back of my head. I will say it is growing. It'S just. You really can't tell because it's curly, so you know it's like uh. Is it growing? Is it not growing, but it's it's growing. It'S just like it's the shrinkage. For me, i don't like the shrinkage part but um. I know this part is not straight, i'm just going to turn around for you guys and show y'all what this is looking like, because you want to detangle it before you do anything to it like detangling stations, so i'm going to turn around, so you guys can See you do not laugh at my part, because i know it is crooked, so this is what it looks like. You just need a small section, the back, and this is going to be your base. Ponytail y'all. This is what's going to hold it all together, so you're going to want it to be somewhat detangled in neat. Now me personally, i picked up this new little small brush from the dollar tree. I'M gon na try it i'm gon na try to use it today because i used it on my wow. This works good. I used it on my wig and it worked really good and on my hair is working so good and you know why i'm really shocked that it's working really good on my hair because look how thin this thing is like it's super thin, but it's getting it All the place it needs to get to, and it's pretty firm, so yeah, i'm gon na use this i'm gon na use all my brushes. When i do my slick back, though, like i have a brush like this, that i use to like get it all, but using this one, it don't feel like it's. I can't feel it reaching my scalp, but when i use this one, it's definitely hitting the scalp part. So this is gon na, be a just gon na, be a cute sleek one. So once you have your ponytail, how you want it going with a hair tie and you're gon na get it as tight as you want it, you don't have to make it super super tight because i know like sometimes these little things can um give you a Headache these hairstyles can so what you do is brush it all up in the back now my hair in the back always rolls down. So it's nothing. I can really do for that, so we just have to work with it. If i look far away, i'm sorry, i could zoom it in a little bit, but i don't know what it's going to be like when i go in and edit it and yeah cause. I feel like i'm looking like an acorn from all the way back here, but so the same way, i did that you're gon na go and do the um same thing when you get up to the top you're going to start actually. Actually, i'm going to try what i'm going to do as soon as i find my comb, you want to go ahead and section off the part like go ahead and get your part together. Now i will say this is going to be a little trickier than just slicking it all to the back, because, like i said that all this hair is not going to reach the um ponytail y'all, all of this hair is not going to reach the ponytail. None of it really reaches the ponytail except the part, that's in the ponytail. So that's why i'm like y'all. This is where it gets tricky at i'm trying to make my part straight, but this is so hard for me like getting a straight part. Is so hard, especially with my hair being this length super hard, so um yeah? This is what the oh. This is. What the part is looking like. This is the straight i'm going to get my part. So now what i'm going to do is actually go ahead and slick this side down, since this is really what's left and i'm going to show y'all how we're going to do this. I'M going to talk my way through this this one, because this is not like the um, the one where you just sleek it straight back, so this is going to be a little different, but it's going to be different, but it's not going to be hard like It'S not going to be hard draw so, like i said, detangle out your hair, get it to how you want it, get it to how you need it going with your gel and as soon as the gel hit. My hair me personally, my hair just lays down like that's why i was like use the gel of your choice me personally. I always use eco styler gel. I like auntie jackie's too, but i normally just use this kind, because why not so once you have that? I'M going with my bigger brush to make sure i can like cover all of this make sure all this is sleek. Like i said earlier, all this is not gon na reach the ponytail, but i have a trick for you guys to make sure that this does not come up, because, if you're having a long rough day, it's gon na come up but see how sleek it is. Now y'all look at me what this is so cool like it's so cool, because it looks so short and you would think your hair would not be able to do that, but it actually can. So this part right here, i'm going to show y'all go across like this this my first time doing this too y'all, i'm not gon na capture y'all go across like that. Now, with this, i'm just gon na put this in the ponytail, because this up here is, it has a little length to it. It'S not like super super super super super short, but it's still short and yeah. So this is what you're going to do all this back here, you're going to jelly down now, you could make it simpler if your hair is like way thicker than mine. You might have to set this up into different sections me personally, once my hair is wet. It'S easy to sleep. My short hair is easy to sleep once this like when my hair was longer and it gets wet, it was harder to do because it was wet, but with it being short, it's super easy. Like i said once i put the gel on this we're in there, you see you just get this and i would highly advise you to go to dollar tree and get this like this little thing. Right here is getting the job done, and it's like getting it done, quick at that, so this is what it's looking like now once i finish this part, i should have split this up in smaller sections, but my hair, it's okay, it can handle it. I can handle it, but um. What you're going to want to do is keep brushing i'm going to turn around to the back. You guys can see what i'm doing what this is looking like once this gets somewhat sleek you're going to go in with another hair top, because some of this is actually reaching it. That'S why i was like y'all. My hair is growing a little bit it's actually. This down here y'all my hair, my kitchen never is laid. It never lays down. It'S like. I have two different textures in my head, so it's just like i'll. Let that do what it do go in with this a little bit and you're gon na sleek. It like this you're gon na go in with another cotton hair tie all for the back. I use cotton because these are like super. They get super tight and they're. Like they're just better than me, so that's what i use and i'll put it in a small little ball. So if you're following along it should look a little something like this. I don't want to make this video too long of me talking because sometimes y'all say i talk too much, but i'm just trying to show y'all how to do this now, for this part, you're going to go in sections. Well, actually, should i yeah with my hair being shorter, i'm actually going to go with another row back, so this side can fall like this, and so this part right here won't look so weird. So i'm going to speed this process up because literally you're just laying all this hair to the side - that's all you're doing, but before i let all the hair to the side, i'm going to make this part straight. So all this hair can go back and my part won't look crooked. This might be the only part. This part and the side part is the only part i really don't see, because the rest of this is going to the back. What'S the side not to the back okay, so if you were following along, it should look a little something hold on. What is this? This ain't, even my hair, that's weave, i got wrapped up in my brush, but if you were following line, should look a little something like this. I swear y'all from the beginning to the end like when i watch my own videos when i'm edited i'll be like dang no way my hair just did that like girl. No way here got my little ponytail back here. It'S my hair is growing. It'S growing. It'S just it's. The shrinkage like it'll, look like that's why. I part my hair the first time because when i curly hair grows, it just looks like it's not growing and that's the part that just like be pissing me off like months and months going by, but it feels like it's not growing but me personally. I don't really see my hair, it's growing until i cut it. Anyways and i've been taking my little vitamins, so butters make your hair grow by the way, but um yeah. So this is what you do once you have it. You can either go over the comb or you can go in with a hard, hard, coarse brush because, like i have some people i don't know, i don't know what type here i have some people say i have 4c hair. Some people say i have three hair. I don't know me personally, i do not know what hair i have, but i remember the last one my ass try to tell me what hair i had y'all was fighting in the comments. I was like yeah, never mind i'll figure it out on my own. What type here i have, i still don't know to this day on what type hair, oh i'm going with my edge booster, and this is just gon na go through and just lay this down. I always put this on top of my hair. Once i use the eco styler, because this just makes it lay way better, but we are not done, i'm just putting this in the front just on the place. I put this like little parts and all that stuff, but yeah. If you really know what you talk about, can you please tell me what hair texture? I have you guys, please, like serious, can you please somewhere here text drive because i don't know and that's the thing too because, like when my hair is like super short um people said it was 4c, but then, when it grew out, people would say it was Three and i'm just like how my hair gon na be four and three, because somebody help me like help me out. I'M gon na do a 360 for you guys. Y'All can see how this looks because i feel like i'm talking way too much for this to be just a little get ready with me and all that, but um yeah, so i'm going to do a 360 to show you guys what this looks like. Of course, i'm going to tie this down, you want to tie it down because, if not, it might not work because, like i said all this hair up here did not reach that ponytail y'all, but who can? Who won't be able to tell nobody? So this is like from the front very sleek, very sleek, and here's what i like from the back um. I really can't tell what left from the back, but this back here it never lays down like i want to be careful, no more it never sleeks it. Never lays down it does what it wants to do, but that's what, when i tie it down, is going to fix so now that you have your hair like this, i'm going to do my edges last, but i'm going to go with my edge booster. This is my age booster, my got to be spray and i'm just going to spray this all over my hair, don't overdo it. I know you're, probably like girl, go over to me: don't overdo it y'all, because you don't want it to be like weird looking or like so and white. You not want to turn white. So after you do that going with your blow dryer on cool. Do not go on hot going on cool, and this is gon na. Have your hair like super sleek and super late. So that's nothing to do right now. I got my little um blow dryer here, but i'm not gon na show y'all be doing it because i feel like y'all. Don'T care it really don't matter, but um yeah, i'm gon na go on with this, and i'm gon na come back once i'm done doing this after you're done blow drying, it should look a little something like this. Like super super super super sleek. Now, with it being super sleek and all ready, i'm just going to go ahead and tie this down. So i can go ahead and work on my ponytail. Now. There'S certain ways you can do your ponytail hold on. Am i gon na be able to get to the ponytail? If i try this like this, i don't think i'm able to get to a ponytail by using this hair scrub. I'M not gon na be able to tie it like that. I'M gon na have to like roll it up and use it like this, so i can get to the ponytail part. So yeah now either way you could actually um braid your ponytail, like put it on the door, and you know like how you how people braid it that way or you can braid it onto your hair, with this being so small, it really doesn't matter which way. I do it with longer hair i'll suggest you to braid it onto your hair. If your hair is like really really short, i would suggest you to um. What is it braid it like go ahead? Have a pre-braided braid! You know what i'm saying my braid is not pre-braided, but we're going to figure this out, so i'm putting one with a rubber band and just make sure that this is like really really small and tight. We'Re not tight, but i'm going to get this ball as small as i can get it, because once i have my pre-braid already on there nobody's even going to be able to um tell they're not going to be able to see that because the braid is going To sit on top of that, if that makes sense, i hope that's making sense for you guys, i'm trying to make this make sense, i'm not really the best at explaining, but i have a lot of hair videos on my channel, so i guess i'm pretty good. At explaining a little bit, i'm going with one more rubber band because i never leave these hairstyles in long. I only leave these hairstyles in for the day of and then i'll like take it out or something because sometimes these hairstyles - i get tired of these too. I'M not gon na lie. I get tired of any hairstyle. Really, that's just me. I can't leave your hair something too long. So what i'm thinking to do is go ahead and actually pre-braid. This would already be braided and i'm gon na come back and show you how to put it on. Actually i changed my mind. I'M gon na just go ahead and braid it onto there, because i just realized that the this is so small nobody's gon na be able to see it but um yeah. So i went ahead. I used two little rows of like the hair that was enrolled. I used two of them, so it could be a little thick and i just put my own hair tie on it and what you're gon na do is you're just gon na wrap this on there, not us girls. We already know how to do this, so y'all. Don'T be looking confused and being weird, not it, so this is what it should look like. I don't know if y'all can see, but this is what it should look like once it's on there, because i remember my videos i'll be like she never turns around you're. Happy why are you happy now, like i didn't think y'all i needed to turn around now. What i'm gon na do is take this piece out, because we're gon na use this piece to um. Basically we're just gon na wrap this around my neck. We'Re gon na use this piece to wrap around the braid after it's done. Y'All, don't ask me why i'm doing it like this only i know to keep it away from stuff. So with that being said, all you have to do is start braiding. So i'm just going to go ahead and braid my braid. If you don't know how to braid, maybe you shouldn't do a braid. Maybe you should do a bun or something, but i'm just gon na go ahead and start braiding. Now i'm gon na go off camera and basically do my edges and then i'm gon na go ahead and do my makeup and we'll be done so i'm just gon na go off camera. Do my edges and makeup and i'm gon na come back once this is finished, so i can exit out this video but yeah. To be honest, this is really cute. I haven't, did this hairstyle in a while, so this is how the finished result is. I just went ahead and did some simple cute edges and all that stuff the braid is getting supposed to gave.
