How To ➟ Crochet Box Braids (Looks Like The Real Thing! Free-Parting)

Hey my lovelies! Today I'm here with a tutorial on how I did my crochet box braids. I used just under 7 packs of 24" small crochet box braid hair for this and it took me about 2.5 hours to do (not including cornrowing my hair). I left out my front edges and did single plaits there so that the style looks undetectable and the parting looks natural. Hope you like!

Hey guys, I'm back and today I'm here with a tutorial on these crochet box braids. I did the other day alright. So here is my braid pattern and I pretty much just co-enrolled my hair, going straight back with two braids meeting in the middle to form. One braid in the back half and I just sew down the ends of the braids at the very bottom of my head on the sides of my head. I made the cornrow slanting upward. I did that so once my hair is all done and I pull it up, the crochet braids will look a lot less detectable and then, as you can see, I left out a small section for my front edges, alright, so time to get started and for this Install I'm using these 24-inch box braids right here. It says small on the package, but I would say these are more like small to medium sized braids so to install the crochet braids you're gon na need a latch hook and you want to make sure it's open. I'M going to slide that right underneath the cornrow, then I'm taking the looped end of the crochet braids and attaching it to the hook close the latch and pull it through to the other side, then taking the braid and pushing it over off the hook. Next, I'm taking the tail end of the braid and I'm looping that on to the hook, closing the latch and then I'm pulling that right through the opening in the crochet braid. Then I'm pulling and tightening it to the scalp until it's secure, and this is how it should look. So I'm going to keep doing that for the entire front of my head and you want to make sure to install these pretty close together. So you don't see the cornrows underneath for the back, I'm doing the same thing, but because I don't want this style to be super bulky and just too much I'm spacing these out a bit more than I did in the front and for the bottom braid. I crocheted right through that as well. Alright, so once my whole head is done, I'm going to do the edges, I'm going to be braiding that separately, so this style can really come out. Looking like traditional box braids - and I think that makes a huge difference to do it this way, so I'm taking out that front section making a part and combing out the hair make sure I don't have any tangles, and for this all I did was unravel crochet Braids and there you go and I'm braiding, that in with my hair and then planting it all the way down and once that front section was finished since I did unravel the braids, they were a little bushy at the ends, so I just dip them in some Hot water to get them smooth again - and here is the style all complete. So I ended up using a little less than seven packs of hair for my entire head, and this look took me about two and a half hours to install, which is a heck of a lot less time than it would have taken to install these individually, which Is great what I also like about them? Is they really do look like regular box braids, you can pull them up in the front. You can wear them down. Do all different types of parts so yeah guys. That is pretty much it. I hope you all enjoyed this tutorial and I will catch you all on the next video bye

But everyone has their ways!
