Stop Using Alcohol To Remove Your Lace Wig!!! (How To Properly Remove Your Wigs)

Hey everyone, it's rochelle and welcome back to my channel. This is my lovely model, my daughter tanaya, and i'm going to show you guys how to properly remove a wig in today's video. So if this video was helpful to you make sure you give it a thumbs up now, this is what you're going to need: you're going to need a lace, glue, remover, i'm using walker tape, c22, solvent and water. Now, if you use, got to be freeze spray to apply your wig you're, probably just going to need water to remove it, you're not going to use the lace glue remover. So i use a lace glue to apply her wig and now i'm going to show you guys how to properly remove it without pulling out your edges. First, i'm going to do. Is i'm going to apply that lace, glue, remover and i'm just applying it along the hairline i'll? Let you know right now: this product is super oily. It works it loosens up the glue. However, the oil is, it does get on the wig. So whenever i wear my wigs and i use this product, i always have to wash the front of the wig like the hair to get that oil out. So it's not greasy, but, as you can see right now, i'm just wiping her face and i use just a cotton swab. I think it was makeup wipes i'm not exactly sure and we're trying to get a thumbnail right now. Okay, so i like to go in with a little bit of water too, to help loosen it up. Like i said before, if you were to use just the got to be free spray, you don't need the lace glue to remove the wig. You can just use water, and that will be fine, but i like to use water, and i like to use the glue remover to help loosen it and then once it starts to loosen honestly. It takes about like five minutes for it to loosen and, as you can see, i can put my finger on it to easily remove the glue if it's not coming off as easy, you need to let this product sit on the hair on the wig. For a little bit longer and it will loosen up - or you can just add more of the water or more of the lace, glue, remover and yeah. I got a little in her face, but trust me, it's fine, it's safe and, as you can see, look how easy that is for me to put my finger through it super super easy. This video is so quick you guys, because honestly it didn't take that long and she's been extra removing her way and there you have it. We have a wig cap now, as you can see, there's some glue residue on her forehead. So what i'm using right now? It'S actually makeup wipes. I do not use rubbing alcohol to remove my wigs reason, for that is the rubbing. Alcohol will dry out your skin. It'S not good for the skin. They have lace, glue removers. For that purpose. It'S not for removing your wigs trust me. I'Ve done that in the past, and i find that when you use rubbing alcohol, you actually end up with that weird wig tan line, and you don't want that. So this is why i use lace glue remover at all times. As for the wig cap, i'm using the same product, however, i didn't need to use it because i actually don't use any kind of glue on the wig cap. I use the bold hole liquid gold and that's not a glue. So if you use water to remove it, it comes off super gently. Now, as you can see, you don't want to pull on this because you don't want to pull out the edges, so that is why i keep going over it with the water and the lace glue to get the residue off. Now i'm going to cut the wig cap off some people, don't sew it on honestly, when i do my wigs, i don't always sew it down. I was just trying to be extra professional when i apply her wig extra professional, like i'm a professional, but i'm really not but yeah. So i'm just gon na go in with the scissors and cut away all that extra thread that i used to sew her hair up and again. I don't always do this to my own hair. I don't always sew it up and do all that stuff, but i did that for her so now we're just gon na go ahead and remove the braid. Obviously, if you plan on putting your weight back on, you don't have to take the braids out, but she wants to take the wig off now, so we're just taking out all the braids and she plans to wash her hair. So i'm just removing all the braids for her and, as you can see, no edges was harm in this process. This is how you properly remove your wigs and you guys, if you want to keep your edges, make sure you wear a wig cap. Honestly. Trust me. Wear wig caps and yes, the wig can be reapplied. I get asked that question so many times when i film a video, you can definitely reapply the wig. You don't have to cut the lace again because the lace is already cut. You don't have to tweeze the hairline again, because it's already done so you can just reapply the wig whenever you want to wear it again so yeah. This is pretty much the end of the video i'm just going to go in with some black, castor oil applied to her edges. I mean she plans on washing her hair after this video but yeah. This is it.
