Hi everyone Happy New Year. Today we are bringing in the new year with a helpful video. I want to show you guys how to bleach the knots on your lace, wigs so that your wig can look natural for the new year, so, if you're unfamiliar with knots. This is how your knots look on your lace. Wigs you'll see them right at the lace when they are bleached. You won't see those nuts. So let's talk about the different types of knots. The first knots I really don't care for are the double knots these nuts are bigger. They are harder to bleach. So if your wig have these type of knots, it will be harder to bleach them the way you want single nuts look like this, they are smaller and these are the ones that will give you a more natural appearance. So if you ever had a hard time getting the knots to bleach properly is most likely because they were not single nuts. So these are the best knots and they are usually found in the front of the hairline, the wig. I will be demonstrating all of this on comes from April lace. Wigs, I will be sure to link all the information with links in the description box. Let'S jump right into this you're going to need some type of bleach powder. This is the Clairol BW 2 and I'd like to use 20 developer. If you are beginner, please only go to 20, the higher the developer, the lighter the nuts will be, and depending on your complexion, it will depend on what color you need your nuts to be. When mixing your bleach always go by the directions for me, I did not have that much developer left so I'll just put the rest in there, as you guys, can see, but always follow the directions on how much to mix. If I am using a hair bleach that is white, I will add a little bit of purple, hair dye and sewage. This helps to tone down any brassiness that may occur when I bleach the nuts. However, they do have the bleach powders that already come purple. So if you can get one of those, it will help tremendously later on. I'M going to give you guys more tips about that, so you can understand the bleaching process a little bit better, but let's jump right in bleaching this wig now this week is a beautiful, deep, curly or curly wig, and I really love the texture of it. So, as you can see, the nuts are not bleached. This is how the front hairline looks on the wigs. This is how it will come. This is a light brown Elise, I believe, if not, I will link it below. This is how the nuts will come. If you decide to purchase this wig so step, one will be to protect the hair. I like to spray the hair with a little bit of oil or water. So if any of that bleach seep through it will protect the hair, you want to turn your wig inside out for this, and you can do this off of the canvas hair. You do not have to do it like this. I just choose to do it like this just because, once you ought to be able to see so I am pinning this to a canvas head. I'M making sure any stray hairs is out the way. Now you want to begin the bleach process. Your bleach should be already mixed up, and I like to start at the front of the hairline is where the single knots are. So this is where the most natural appearance is going to be. Now I do notice when bleaching the knots, the ones that are double are usually the ones that are more stubborn to take to the bleach because they are bigger. So you want to be more delicate with the single knots when applying the bleach and when it comes to the double knots, you can kind of be a little bit more aggressive as how firm you press that bleach on to the cap. So you want to let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Time will vary depending on the hair. The color will also vary, so here is an example of how the knots will bleach from black all the way to a pale yellow. Just depending on how long and how many sessions you do so, the Harry normally starts at black. It goes to brown. It goes to red brown, red, red-orange, orange-yellow and then a pale yellow. These colors are not avoidable. So a lot of times when people get they're, not stays say. Oh, it looks orange, it looks brassy. You can use purple shampoos to tone the brassiness down. You can't avoid the colors that is going to change. This is just the natural bleaching process just like. If you were to bleach your hair once you get your desired color, it's time to wash your hair, I do have a full video routine on how to wash a wig be sure to check that out. So this is how the knots took on this particular wig. I'M just going to go through and kind of tweeze away any of them that did not properly bleach because there is hit-and-miss is when it comes to bleaching, and I did not want to go over to begin because when you go over it with bleach too many Times you can get a little bit of shedding. I'Ve never had that happen, but I have heard other people say that it does happen so once I've plucked this hairline. This is how the outcome is. So now we're just going to go ahead and apply this wig. Now I did not have time to let this wig dry in it's curly state. So what I did is I went on and I kind of did a blowout on it. So I just want you guys to see how this wig will come when you get it. It will be curly, so if you go back a little bit and look at the nuts on the canvas here, you they look like they turn a brownish color, and once I applied the wig as you can see, this is how the outcome was. I do love the outcome of bleach nozzle rather than using concealers or foundations, or even the Sally Hansen spray. Just because I do feel like it gives a more natural appearance. If you were to bleach your nuts or if you ever see my nuts and they don't look like they are like a scalp tone color, they may have a brassy look to them. That is because they go through that process that I showed you guys previously. If you don't want your nuts to have any type of red tones or brassiness, then you will have to take them to blonde blonde. Is a really hard color to achieve, or not just like? If you were to try to take your hair from black to blonde, it is a process that could possibly give you shedding if you get to that stage. So that is why I tell you guys all the time you can't expect perfection when it comes to these wigs just kind of do what you can to make it look as natural as you can and bleach is bleach, is going to go through the same stages, Whether you are bleaching knots or if you are bleaching hair, so just remember that and that's why I share extra tips to help you guys to achieve natural look. So, if you are, are not good with chemicals, there are tips and tricks that can help you to achieve a natural look. And yes, there are tons of products that can tone out that brassiness or take out the yellow tones in the bleach. You just have to do your research and find out how to do that so yeah again this week comes from April lace. Wigs! I will link it below. Thank you guys so much for watching

Rayla M: This video helped me so much! I was wondering why my knots weren’t bleaching and it was because it was doubled knotted Had I knew what I know now!! Thank you!

Aila Dacia: Absolutely loved this very helpful! I'm doing my wig now.

Suga Rayne: Thank you for explaining so very well! Very informative and the look is amazing this is my first time bleaching knots and wearing a wig lol but after watching your video 3x I’m no longer intimidated by this wig and the process

Dfleeezy: Do you have any suggestions on how to properly bleach double knots? I recently just got a wig and I believe the knots are double knots... they are very visible and black. The picture you used for the double knots looks exactly like the knots on my wig. I also do not mind using makeup to cover the knots, but will that work with double knots?

TheHixMixTV: Flawless! Do you use the gel method exclusively now to tack down your frontals? I just saw that new gel you were using. I want to know if that is your everyday method for installing frontals.

I am Courtney Noel: This was very informative I love that you gave detailed descriptions ❤️

Esther Ortiz: Thanks for the video. This is my second time watching it and I'll probably watch it again. When bleaching what is the color you want to achieve? When protecting the wig from the bleach with oil do you put the oil near root where you want to bleach?

LovelyLady Carter: I truly enjoy your videos very well spoken and edited so good! you are so good at this I wish you all the success I wanted to wear my wigs without having to do a full face of makeup ‍♀️I just wanted it to lay very natural and with your help I think I’m well on my way to achieving thatThanks so much hun

Ahlaya Reed: Ok it would have been super helpful to know what the consistency of the bleach and powder should be/look like. I’m having that issue that. I make the mixture thick but sometimes it still bleed though

Rahsaan Ephriam: I'm TOTALLY feeling like an idiot but omg thank you for talking about step one lol The main reason why I've been afraid to bleach the knots is bc I've seen ppl or had someone bleach mine and the base of the hair was bleached also. Now I know add some oil

K A L I A: you dope love I love all the information and tips thank you!

Kishon Kelley: Omg that turned out so good!

Alicia Jones: This is so detailed!! Thank you so much!

alexis stewart: So I’m new to this and I have the 20 developer from “salon care” & from “Wella”. They’re both 20 developer but the difference is it’s In a red bottle, not tan coloured. And it says “stabilized formula” instead of the one in the video which says “standard lift”. Is there a difference between them? Also I have the “salon care, quick white, super-strength powder lightener”....is there a difference between hers and mine? Is the bleach that I have good ? And If I don’t have purple dye to mix with it to take out the brassiness, should I just use toner? And I asked my cousin what the toners are for and she said it’s to take out the brassiness but I thought you used toner to tint ur wig weft? Again, sorry if I have no idea what I’m talking about lol. And because I got all of my bleach, developers, & toners from my cousin, there isn’t rlly instructions on how much to put in so should I just put in developer until it’s like a thick creamy pancake batter paste? If someone could let me know I’d rlly appreciate it!

Gottaluv Reen: Thank you for sharing your video. I have learned a lot from this video.

Michelle Ment: i'm subscribing bc of the professionalism detail & quality of this video! PERIOD

dani rose: thank u!! i’m hispanic but my skin is almost pure white. i needed this so bad!!

Brenda Russell: You are freakin' adorable!!!! Just subscribed...gonna binge watch these videos...I'm learning so much!!!! Thank you!!! :)

PrettyXxInxXPink01: Hey, what’s that balm called that your rubbing on your hair at the end? I like the silky look it gives with that and the hot comb

Petrichor: You scaring tf out me putting bleach on like that, if I try that 100% it's gonna soak thru to the hair. I'm terrified, just spent $300 I didn't have on a wig

Insert Name Here: Is it necessary to cover the hair with foil? That part wasnt mentioned but Ive seen others do it. (I have my first lace front wish me luck.)

Ivory Sheppard: Thank you so much for the detailed video.

Dallas Colby: Use opi plex ^ I think that's what it's called to help lift bleaching higher so you don't have to bleach so much. Also I live your videos so so much
