How To Highlight A Bob Wig! | Simple And Easy

Put it welcome back to my channel the one only me here so today we are going to transform this bob wig into something you know more appealing, i'm going to just add some highlights throughout the hair. So what you'll need is some clips, a comb, your liner and your developer. Today, i'm going to be using the 20 volume developer and the bw lightning powder um. I really didn't want these highlights to be super super duper light like i was going for um a brown type of highlight type of look but um. I just trust the pop process. This is what i'm using here. I have the wella developer and clairol lighting bleach and i forgot um to mention that i am using the foils, so i'm taking this comb and i'm making them fairly chunky um. Just because i wanted that. I wanted to be able to see the highlights all throughout the hair. I didn't want anything too natural. Normally, when i do highlights, i take thin sections and it just looks like little slivers or ribbons of um. You know like throughout the hair, but i really wanted it to be very chunky, so i'm just slapping that lightener on the hair making sure i have a good saturation saturation. I cannot say that word um, but yeah. So i do section the wig into like three major parts: um, the back area like the nape area is braided. I'M not touching that because i really wanted the darkness underneath and then that middle section that you see, i'm sorry but you see i am. I am now that is where the highlights are going to be, and vice versa, so yeah, i'm just going throughout the hair and taking big chunks um, because that's how i went at first, i was doing the whole weaving and slice type of method, but then towards The top i just go ahead and weave, and i don't slice at all, so it is your preference of what type of look you're going to going for. Normally. I just have an idea in my head and i've executed, but yeah. This is me again showing you guys how i go ahead and saturate the hair strands so i'll rip. So i get an even lift and it's very important that you have your foils, not crinkled and messed up, because if you do that, your liner will get into those crevices and you won't have an even type of lift. You'Ll have like stuff. You'Ll have dark marks from the crevices and it's just not a good look. So make sure you have everything nice and neat and yeah make sure you pat it down, and you move on to the next section. So i'm just checking making sure that i am in the right area so that it won't look too splotchy or too spaced out. I want them kind of close together, but i want them to be chunky if that makes sense. So this row right here is going to be darker. I would say darker than anything else and again to achieve this. I just did the 20 volume. If i wanted more of like that light blonde, i would probably do my 30 that i have. But again i just wanted something: a little pop of color. So this is her with all the foils throughout the head and i'm going to leave it for about 35 minutes um. This is the level that i wanted. I kind of wanted a little bit darker, but it lifted out to this. This is me, checking it with my nail: don't do this, but i just check it a little bit um. This is the highlight once i took all the foils out. You know it's giving me what it's given kind of looks like my hair, but it's whatever. You know it came off a little bit lighter than what i wanted, but i'm not mad at it. It looks cute. I love this. It has that brown that i'm looking for too, so it ended up looking really well, i forgot to mention that i did wash this hair with the purple shampoo, so i just like, like a different levels in the hair, which is good, i mean so i am Going to make this bob a little bit shorter, it is 12 inches, but you know when you get it from your vendor, whatever it's not cut straight, i don't know if a lot of people know this, but i check my lens and stuff make sure that the Cut is straight and the cut when they gave it to me. Wasn'T straight so i'm just going to go ahead and use my clippers. I can use my scissors, but the clippers are faster, but you'll see me. Do a mixture of both i'm initially going to cut it with the clipper and then go back in with my scissors just to clean up a little bit. This is going to give you that nice, blunt even cut that i'm looking for - and this is me using my scissors to um - make sure everything is nice and even but i'm not mad at this, like i really love this wig like i would wear it myself, But hopefully one of you guys purchase her and she will have a new home, but yeah. This wig was really easy to do. Really, you know highlights and color. That is my thing so yeah i will be adding more custom type wigs to my site, um, i'm just working on getting my inventory back on and popping for everybody, because i know summertime is around the corner and everybody wants to look cute and slayed by mimi Period, so that's just me checking with my finger angle just using some um cutting shears, i don't know um. I think this is by diane diana or whatever the one that you get from the beauty supply store, but they're really good sharp scissors um. Normally, i would use my paul mitchell scissors because i really like their scissors, really sharp. It'S really. You know it's that good quality, but these you know they get the job done. They can cut some hair. You know knockout, so this is her all cut and look how pretty and blunt and that wig is just you know, i'm in love this week this week is everything to me. I love it. You know can't wait till somebody buys it um. This is the wig on my mannequin head, don't mind my mannequin like she, she kinda yeah she's, been through a lot, but i did her makeup.
